Thor was our guide and he was fantastic - telling sagas, explaining the history of the towns and landscape, giving recommendations for restaurants and other attractions. It was good mixture of sights in the South with the waterfalls, glacier and black sand beach. Thor even added a bonus waterfall stop. Would definitely do it again! He clearly knew what he was talking about and overall was just a great person to chat with over the course of the tour. My friend and I really felt that we were able to experience Icelandic classics all in one go. The rye-bread ice cream at Cafe Loki was our favorite! - Cheyenne V13 contributionsI was a bit hesitant to do this tour given it would be the longest I’d ever been on a boat in open water, but it didn’t disappoint! Milla and her team provided us with an abundance of information about the cetaceans and birds we encountered, as well as Iceland in general. My friend and I were going to be happy seeing even the smallest bit of a cetacean, but we were beyond delighted to see multiple pods of white-beaked dolphins, a couple of minke whales, and a few harbor porpoises. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity that we were so happy to be a part of. The great hot chocolate in the saloon toward the end of the tour just sealed the deal! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, especially with Elding. After this tour, my friend and I went to the Whales of Iceland Museum only to find out that Elding is one of biggest providers of cetacean research here in Iceland. They truly care about the animals and want what’s best for them. We were very lucky because it was April 27, 2024 which is very late in the season, any way I was very happy and glad I took this tour, I highly recommend it, its worth the price.

It has trails to hike up to different viewpoints. Stopping at the Icelandic farm was lovely. We enjoyed traditional cake and coffee and were able to meet the farmer and ask questions. Their approach to sheep farming is much different than in other countries as I understand. Godafoss waterfall was quite amazing, though we shared with experience with hundreds of others. We went onto seeing many "moonscape" looking areas with steam vents and mud pots, along with lava structures. - Lynn TChattanooga, TN13 contributionsIn March 2023, our girls trip found us searching for the Aurora in Iceland. Reykjaviks’ excursions were impressively efficient with minimal challenges. Certainly Icelanders know hospitality and adventure. Not the fault of the company, the volcano just decided to go dormant the day before. Enjoyed walking on the lava flow and feeling the heat coming out of the vents.
