Live Guide on Hulu

Live TV subscribers can quickly browse through the available channels in the Live Guide to see what’s airing now, and what’s coming up over the next two weeks. The Live Guide and its helpful features are available on devices that support the latest Hulu app.

If you're considering Hulu + Live TV and want to know what channels you'd see in the Live Guide, enter your ZIP Code here to see what networks are available in your area.

If you have questions about Live Guide or run into trouble while using the feature, select an option from the list below to learn more:

Where is the Live Guide?

Select Live from the main navigation bar to launch live TV, or access the Live Guide during playback. The steps for this will vary depending on the device you use:

  • Web browser: There are two ways for Live TV subscribers to open the Live Guide on web — select the Live menu option on the main navigation bar at the top of the screen, or select the three lines icon located under the player bar while streaming.
  • Mobile: During playback, tap the exit fullscreen icon or turn your device vertically.
  • TV-connected devices: During playback, press down on your remote or controller. If you’re using Apple TV, swipe up on your remote.

How does the Live Guide work?

Live TV subscribers can browse through everything that’s currently airing live by scrolling up or down through the grid of channels in the Live Guide. Scroll to the right to see what’s coming up next, or press/swipe left to access helpful filters like:

  • Recent
  • Channels
  • Favorites
  • Sports
  • News
  • Movies
  • Kids

Content badges and other availability details are included in the Live Guide to help you determine what’s new, recording, or even unavailable. If you’re a big sports fan, be sure to check ahead for game times and scheduled blackouts. Also keep an eye out for the rewind icon, which indicates that you can start the live stream over from the beginning.

To view additional broadcast details, select the program to open the options panel. From there, you also have options to visit the details page (to add it to My Stuff) or record the program to your Cloud DVR.

TIP: If you’re watching on a supported iOS device, you can easily switch between channels by swiping left or right on your screen when streaming in full screen mode. If you're using Hulu.com to stream live TV, check out the available features to enhance your viewing experience.

Can I customize my Favorites?

The networks you pick during onboarding and any others that you add to My Stuff are the ones you’ll find under Favorites. If you’d like to add another network to the lineup, search for it by name and add it to My Stuff from the details page. To drop a network from the list, simply remove it from My Stuff instead.

TIP: If you’re using Hulu.com to stream live TV, you can also go directly to our Hubs page and click the three dots icon on the desired network to add it to My Stuff.
