French striker Hugo Ekitike has officially joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a permanent transfer from Paris Saint-Germain. The 21-year-old had been on loan at the Bundesliga club since January, and Eintracht Frankfurt has activated the purchase option included in the loan deal. The fee is reported to be between €16 million and €20 million.
Ekitike has signed a long-term contract with Eintracht Frankfurt, keeping him at the club until 2029.
“The 1.89-meter-tall attacker has already played 12 matches for Eintracht Frankfurt. The Frenchman scored his first Bundesliga goal on the last matchday. By activating the purchase option, Ekitiké gets a contract until 2029,” the German club’s official website announced.

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche said: “Hugo has shown his qualities in his previous appearances. We are firmly convinced of his great potential and look forward to seeing him in the Eintracht jersey beyond the current season.”
Ekitike had taken some time to adjust to his new club and regain sufficient fitness to play regularly, but he has now found his footing and scored his first goal for Eintracht Frankfurt. This was enough to convince the club’s management to sign him permanently, and they have not hesitated to pay a significant fee to PSG.
PSG has made a good financial deal for a player they no longer considered part of their future plans. Eintracht Frankfurt, on the other hand, have signed a talented young striker who has the potential to be a key player for them in the years to come.
