Full job description

Training Coordinator - Picatinny Arsenal

Responsibilities:

Support Government related training to include: preparing ordering requests, announcements, scheduling and classroom set up for civilians and military at various locations.

Perform a variety of tasks relative to the administration of training programs, which include, but not limited to, planning, data collection, analyses, evaluation, and presentation of findings and development of recommendations.

Prepare training reports and briefings as required to reflect training provided to personnel for top management review and projects training requirements for budget submission.

Support the development of specialized courses for unique and/or one time requirements, to meet immediate needs of the organization by arranging on-site training.

Monitor individuals participating in specialized training programs and ensure compliance with terms of the training agreement.

Support the staff with the request and schedule Government classes.

Serve as the training administrator/coordinator for training databases such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Digital Training Management System (DTMS), online knowledge management systems, etc.

Support management where authorized for various databases for the purpose of provisioning new users, requesting classes, registering students for classes, class vacancies, tracking, etc.

Provide support for all matters pertaining to course input changes, to include input readjustments, cancellations, and fill rates.

Review and analyze course class fill rates taking timely and appropriate action to avoid late class cancellations, and the conduct of classes below the minimum economical fill.

Ensure all applicable staff are advised of changes by messages, electronic mail or other correspondence. The contractor shall ensure all required actions are completed, to include announcing classes, consolidating responses, preparing and forwarding course materials.

Work with staff to schedule, and ensure facilities, equipment and training materials are prepared prior to scheduled date. When necessary, support students with the required funding documents and travel information.

Coordinate the processing of training requests and ensure official files are updated to reflect completed training.

Provide all necessary information to the Purchasing Officer, whom will be authorized to purchase training and related services using the Government Purchase Card (GPC).

Assist in ensuring purchases by the Purchasing Officer satisfy legitimate requirements and in accordance with responsibility and monthly purchase limits established.

Assist with research and provide Market Research to the Purchasing Officer with different vendors for the best price for the Government dollar.

Consult with managers, training instructors, vendors and Command Training Representatives in the development of plans and schedules.

Provide recommendation on available training to the JPEO A&A G1 Director concerning value and need of same.

Support and provide recommendation to Director on requirements for mandatory training and make recommendations on who should attend (i.e. target audience) based on training records.

Support the implementation of training projects by utilizing innovative methods for training enhancements and publicity.

Provide recommendations for requirements for training facilities, equipment and material.

Generate or assist with the evaluation of training costs and provide recommendations on pursuit of training and/or methods by which to reduce costs to the Purchasing Officer, as required.

Support coordination with the applicable personnel to ensure availability of funds with regard to training.

Experience/Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field strongly preferred but not required.
- High school graduate or GED completion.
- Minimum of three years of experience related to Federal training; no expectations
- Strong research skills to gather information for training materials.
- Understanding of the regulations and laws that govern the Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card Program.

- Active Security Clearance strongly preferred. Public Trust clearance required.
