About the Division of Tax Assessments
The Division of Tax Assessments is administratively part of the Department of Finance & Administration; however, the County Board of Taxation maintains legal supervision and oversight of this Division. The County Tax Administrator is the head of this Division and is supervised by the County Tax Board.
Appeal Filling System
Petitioners can file online, print the forms from our website and submit them to the County Board of Taxation, call us to have the forms mailed out to them, or come to the office and request an application. All appeals for Hudson County property owners are filed at the Hudson County Board of Taxation.
Assessment Records Search
This system is maintained by the Office of Records Management, a Division of the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office. Monmouth County is committed to providing superior public service by granting free electronic access to records declared to be “permanent and public” by the New Jersey Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services (DORES) – Records Management Services (RMS).
Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement)
The Senior Freeze Program reimburses eligible senior citizens and disabled persons for property tax or mobile home park site fee increases on their principal residence (main home). To qualify, you must meet all the eligibility requirements for each year from the base year through the application year.
