the house is an touristic objective by itself, being the oldest functional house in Bucharest (people say) and located in the former Armenian neighborhood, in a central area, but on a quiet street; the house has a name, Casa Melik
the architecture is interesting, it's worth to rest for a while in the garden, to see the house from the middle of the vegetation, guarded by the painter (statue)
the museum is a cosy and nice one, and it offers some nudes of Pallady, to the lower level, and the art collection of a local worthy family, to the upper level
the art collection includes painting, sculptures, old stylish furniture
there is a very nice part of the house, dedicated to the youngest painters that could come here to practice
the cost of the visit is two euros, there is a brochure but only in Romanian...only cash, no cards...
