Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- livia m1 contributionDoar tourist, if you visit Bucharest, you must see The Museum of Little Paris because în The 19 century this used to be Bucharest - like The Little Paris. If you go to The historical center - on Lipscani, visit this museum to see how Romanian People used to live, to dress, to eat, old jewels, old furniture and so on. You Will not regret this experience. IT is like you open an old door în The past. Enjoy!Written 29 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- B MArlon, Belgium134 contributionsAnother must see amongts the numerous museum of Bucharest. Huge collection of all styles with 2 parts dedicated respectively to Romanian art and other European art works. Very pleasant visit as we were only a few to visit simultaneously.Written 29 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - james ReeceNew York City, NY23 contributionsWhat good fun we had! If you can, take a Romanian friend or a guide with you when visiting, so you will better understand what you are seeing. All the objects have a reason they are there, but it's not obvious. Like the "bag of bags" :D We were expecting a very small museum but it is very well structured, split into 7 parts, on two floors. We found many interesting things to look at, the Bruce Lee documentary included, and many memories found us. Great initiative! (PS: Thank you for letting us interact with objects and take pictures)Written 16 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aygen Y1 contributionI am in love with this art gallery. I think it's the best gallery in the Romania. But too expensive for me ( the students:)) )Written 11 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- B MArlon, Belgium134 contributionsThis museum is located within the Parliament and contains numerous pieces of contemporay art dispatched on several floor. It is recommended to start with the upper floor and take the stairs to gain lower ones as the stair case is full of impressive street art drawings.Written 29 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bogdan DBucharest, Romania372 contributionsSmall but beautiful downtown villa, containing some paintings and Aman’s memorabilia; kind but annoying staff; no parking or wi-fi; very well mantained;Written 5 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - fuscobalBucharest, Romania257 contributionsA very nice numismatic collection that is also very well explained on phisical panels as well as on digital tablets. Entry is a bargain @ 10RON (2Eur). - Andrei SBucharest, Romania932 contributionsMe and my family came here on the Night of the Museum. The artworks are superb, especially the sculptures (i am not a big fan of the paintings inside here but art is subjective). It's bad that the place, not being well looked after, gives you a little coldness. With proper work and some renovation, this could be a great attraction.Written 18 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - globetrotter55Bucharest, Romania2,950 contributionsthe house is an touristic objective by itself, being the oldest functional house in Bucharest (people say) and located in the former Armenian neighborhood, in a central area, but on a quiet street; the house has a name, Casa Melik
the architecture is interesting, it's worth to rest for a while in the garden, to see the house from the middle of the vegetation, guarded by the painter (statue)
the museum is a cosy and nice one, and it offers some nudes of Pallady, to the lower level, and the art collection of a local worthy family, to the upper level
the art collection includes painting, sculptures, old stylish furniture
there is a very nice part of the house, dedicated to the youngest painters that could come here to practice
the cost of the visit is two euros, there is a brochure but only in Romanian...only cash, no cards...Written 29 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. MARe offers a splendid, but balanced and carefully curated permanent collection from Romanian artists from communist and post-communist times. I think it is definitely worth to visit it if you are particularly interested in works from this period of time.Written 19 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bogdan DBucharest, Romania372 contributionsDowntown museum, set in the small but lovely Suțu palace; it boasts various art collections, like the one in the former Simu museum and a beautiful nudes display by Theodor Pallady; Bucharest history is also depicted on the first floor; don’t miss the building itself with its ceilings and the grand staircase;Written 19 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - globetrotter55Bucharest, Romania2,950 contributionsthe first thought was this museum is a sort of franchise, after l"Atelier des Lumières, but the guys said they are not; of course; after I saw Van Gogh in Paris, the next scheduled show was Klimt, but it's only a coincidence
the immersive experience is interesting, anyway; it worth to see Klimt show; the water life....was so and so, for sure could be more interesting
waiting for the next shows, of course, it's an ongoing activity
a pros is the special selfie you could take, using the museum's device; good ideaWritten 12 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Located in the Czech Centre Bucharest, the hall where the exhibitions are displayed has a long history of being used as a projection hall or party-place which helped this place become one of the most popular cultural centres in Bucharest. I visited one of the most recent exhibitions, namely Ovidiu Anton's "Home is where my problems are" and I can honestly say that I was amazed by the number of people attending the opening gala, the exquisite quality of the artworks and the ingenious way in which the works were installed.
I definitely recommend this place to anybody wanting to spend a few hours in a place stripped of formalities, but full of ideas and concepts which can be considered unexplored on the art scene of Bucharest.Written 30 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Well worth a visit.Written 20 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
