EPF passbook, PF balance check via SMS, missed call, online: All you need to know

Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) members can check the balance of EPF accounts at home. PF members can do so by sending SMS and giving missed calls.

The EPF balance can also be checked online via the EPFO website and UMANG app.

PF BALANCE CHECK SMS

PF members need to send "EPFOHO UAN LAN" from a registered mobile number to 7738299899.

LAN is the first three characters of preferred language i.e HIN for Hindi, TAM for Tamil.

EPF members can give a 'Missed Call' on 011-22901406 from the registered mobile number.

EPF PASSBOOK

PF members can visit 'EPF Passbook Portal' - https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemberPassBook/Login

One needs to log in using UAN and password.

Then, you need to 'Download/View Passbook.'

UMANG APP

You can check the EPF balance on the UMANG App.

Open the app and you need to go to EPFO.

PF members need to click 'Employee Centric Services', and select 'View Passbook.'

You need to log in with the Universal Account Number (UAN) to view your passbook.
