Hi! Thank you for asking about our amenities. While we don't have a pool at this club, we do have a hot sauna, turf training and many other amazing features for our members to use.

Read the contract carefully. Other than the $10 per month fee, I get charged $43.30 yearly.
Also to cancel, you have send Certified Mail. And once they get the letter, they'll still charge you.
Equipment is old and falling apart
Trend mills are so old they have iPod 30 pin connectors.
During busy hours good luck finding dumbbells. Limited number and guest constantly hold them, sometimes with more than 2 sets.
Limited number of ropes and curl bars. Again hordes as they are very limited.
Decline bench press - leg extender will not stay in place. Hasn't for the two years I was a member.
Locker room is musty most of the time.

Hi, Kirby. We’re sorry for any confusion our cancellation policy has brought you, we would like to clarify any misunderstanding that may have occurred. As stated in your agreement, you will be billed once more after we receive the certified letter. If your annual fee is within this 30-day period, this fee will also bill. You will also have access to our facilities until the cancellation is complete. If the cancellation process takes more than 30 days, we urge our members to contact the General Manager as soon as possible. Your agreement also states that you will be billed once a year for our annual fee, but we apologize if this wasn’t explained to you correctly. As for your observations about our broken equipment, we ask you to please share this information with one of our team members if there is a machine that is not working properly. You can also email us at socialmediateam@fitnessconnection.com if you have an image of the machine that seems to be out of order. Nonetheless, our General Manager will share your comments with our Maintenance Crew in order repair any machines that seem to be out of order. They will also have a word with our Cleaning Crew to ensure that our locker rooms are kept spotless for every member that enters our facility. In regards to our equipment variety and water fountain, our General Manager will share your sentiments with our Corporate Team. If Fitness Connection is taking money that they should not. File a complaint complaint with the FTC and the Texas Attorney General. I am planning to do both today. Businesses that operate like this need to be put in check. When I give you access to my account it is not so you can take more money than we agreed to.

Do not join this gym unless you want your money stolen from you. This company is extremely unethical and trust me, You do not want to give them access to your bank account. I switched my billing to another card. So now, they are billing that card the normal dues and double billing the other card. ??? I've already sent the certified letter you have to send to them to cancel a membership. What ever happened to just doing business with someone and retaining that business with good service? They never clean this gym always find bugs on the floor last fall it was all ants in the women's area and today i found a lizard scrawling on the mattress in the women's area.

Seems like a lot of people leave negative reviews mostly related to the billing and cancelation policies. Saw a few reviews talking about the "random" $43 charge in the second month when you join. People, start reading the fine print. I joined online and they clearly state you will be charged the annual fee of $40 and tax in the second month. Sigh. You can also read about the cancellation process online. Y'all need to do your due diligence and research things on your own before blaming the staff.

The facility is nice, and it is cheap. However, the service is bad. When I signed up, I told them I was in town briefly and was specifically told by one of the managers I could come in and cancel my membership in 10 min. When I went to cancel, the same manager told me he did not say that. I had to write a handwritten letter to their corporate office and take it the the post office to get it certified. When the manager went to get me the address, he whispered something to another female employer who looked up and laughed at me. Customer service is very poor. I would not return and will not recommend anyone joining.

This facility is pretty nice and more spacious compared to the other Fitness Connections I've been to. This location has 3 half basketball courts and 2 racketball courts.
I came to this location because I was in the area and needed to get my workout in for the day. Walking in the staff didn't acknowledge just grabbed my ID and scanned. It's hit or miss with staff at all locations - customer service is key.

I have been a member of Fitness Connection for over 4 years now. After the first year, I got a job overseas and never got to use to the gym since but I kept my membership just in case I want to access the gym while on leave but never happened. When my contract overseas was expired, I got a job out of Texas State and later changed my credit card whose number they have on record. when they couldn't draft my account, they kept calling to remind me that my membership has an issue that need to be resolved ,even though I never used the gym, and when I told them I need to get it canceled, they blackmailed me, saying they would send a balance they claimed I owe to a collection agency if I don't follow the proper procedure for cancellation . They said I can not have my membership canceled online nor by phone. Here is the instruction they emailed me on how to get your membership canceled:
Please note: Per the membership agreement, cancellations are not processed from emails or phone calls. A written notice sent by mail with an official post marked date is required to cancel the memberships.
In order to cancel an account, it is a 30-day written notice via mail to the address below. We do recommend you to mail letter thru certified mail (Postmarked by 10/02/2019 for 10/01/2019 to be final payment). It is recommended so that it can be tracked. Please include the member ID (found on the back of your scan key card), name, and a good contact number just in case.
(For 3 Day Buyers Right Cancellations, you must send in a written cancellation request sent by certified mail to the address below within 3 business days (includes Saturdays) of enrollment date in order to receive full refund.)
**Please remember if your Annual Fee is due on November 15 and you mail your cancellation request after October 14, You will have to pay for November dues plus Annual Fee**
We advise that you give us a call so that we can discuss options other than cancellation. We appreciate our member and hate to see them go.

This gym is full of inconsiderate people who do not rack their weights, tie up equipment while they sit and text on their phones and frequented by dangerously careless people who move within inches of you while you're in a middle of a heavy set.
But last night tops it all. There was this clown who thought it was absolutely acceptable to smoke marijuana from a vaping pen while working out with others around him. He was accompanied by his friend who defended him by asking "where was it written or stated" that his friend can't do what he just did. Totally unbelievable!
All this is occurs because the staff and management have not established the right culture in the place. They do not go around straightening the equipment or admonishing the poorly behaved. This is very sad considering this is a nice well equipped gym.
No wonder they have to charge only $10/month for membership when the quality of the equipment and the convenience of the location can easily justify more.

Very disappointed
Fitness connection is a scan.
Fitness connection has no morals.
When I signed the contract I asked and very clear and specifically was told the monthly payment will be 10.00 dollars a month, ten dollars flat monthly fee, and now I am being charged 10.88 because you include tax, Just be honest and say will be 10.88 a month with taxes. Dont be disonest and don't scam customers.
It was said there would be a annual fee, but never said the annual fee comes after 2 months of signing in the contract without any cortesy email saying that will hit your credit card in my case debit card without any warning when I am not expecting. So disappointed that without any notice except 12hrs before Closing the Movieflex room. My family has had a membership with this gym for over 8 years and the Main reason for joining was the Movieflex room and now without notice it is Gone!! I have stuck with this gym through all the issues over the years with staff and have been a loyal customer using the Movie room along with many many other people. I don't understand how staff can say it was shut down due to not being used because everyday except maybe a Friday night the movie room has been packed!! I would make it work using the women's movie room except only 6 treadmills and only 4 actually operate correctly. One of the treadmills has a sign that has been there for 6 days saying out of order and another one is damaged and when you get on it the treadmill rocks from side to side and has been reported and still not fixed and no sign alerting guest that the treadmill is out of order and danger to use. I honestly would love to give 5 stars but unfortunately the little issues that could be resolved quickly are not and was talked to like I was the one causing the issues when I just want to come to gym I have been going to for 8 years+ and get the workout that I pay for. I understand things change and everyone may not like the changes but to not even try to fix known hazards that could harm your guest and not trying to come up with a solution to something that You took away from guest that have been using this movie room for 8+ years just over night. I do not think I am asking for something unreasonable I really don't. Did whoever decided to take away the movie room overnight ever get others that would be affected by this thoughts before taking it away? I know the movie room was the only way some guest could workout due to many different medical reasons that affect sensory and other reasons why movie room was the only option. The women's movie room will only accommodate women and men are just out of luck and even if woman does attempt to use women's movie room chances of getting to use a treadmill is slim to none considering only 6 physical ones and only 4 that you can actually use.. I hope this situation changes .
**Update** ThankYou Katie for responding but you said to tell staff of treadmills not working... I have told 3 different workers each and every time and they say they will put in a work order but nothing done.. 6/9 the 3rd treadmill from left in women's so called movieroom was So Loud and moving part that you walk/run on was not working correctly causing vibration to where you can't use. I will be in this afternoon after work and will be sure to take pic/video as you requested and will send to you and post and will Again alert staff.. so what happened with the lighting in the only movie room left? The last three times I was in the lights were on and the Same Exact Movie was playing that has been playing the last month.. Such a disappointment but I will be canceling myself and 4 family members as soon as I can get a certified letter and obvious you do not care as you have many many other members but again disappointing. I may have to pay a little more for myself and my family but with the firefighter/first responder discount I can get at a different gym my family will only be paying a small increase. I am not sure who I need to contact to make sure someone does a Through inspection of all of your equipment to make sure members are safe when they are using the equipment because I'm honestly worried about my family getting hurt during out last 30 days at this gym due to equipment not being maintained and not fixing known hazards that have been documented multiple times.. We understand that you loved the Fitflix Theatre, but we also believe that you will enjoy the new Functional Training Area! The Women's Fitflix Theatre will still be available to all our ladies, as well. As for the status of our equipment, we are alarmed by your comments. If you see a machine that is not working properly, please share this information with one of our team members, or email us at socialmediateam@fitnessconnection.com with any images you may have.
