    • Q:

Is there still capybaras in las vegas seaquest?

      A:

Yes, and it's horrible. The area looks way too small for such a creature. They had a single capybara when I visited.

Dylan was super nice and helpful. He taught my husband and I a lot about the marine life. He was very informative and friendly. He made our experience swimming with the sharks and stingrays super fun!

I visited SeaQuest with my family, which included two children. I wouldn't necessarily visit as an adult, but the kids absolutely loved it, and we will be back again.

We were lucky enough to experience the backstage tour, and our guide, Noah, exceeded all expectations. He was extremely good with the kids and took the time to offer so much educational knowledge and answer every single question. I don't leave a lot of reviews, but I wanted to leave one for Noah.

The animal experiences were extremely interactive and kept us busy for the entire three hours. I would recommend it to anyone with children.

If you have little ones that are amazed by an aquarium and some land mammals, this is your SIGN to go to SeaQuest. Located inside of Boulevard Mall but about a 15 minute drive west from the Strip, you could easily keep your young ones entertained for an hour. Prices are relatively fair and CHEAPER on weekdays (plus less crowding so really a WIN WIN). I highly recommend buying tokens so that your littles can feed some of the animals, but it's not an absolute necessity. Don't buy them at the vending machines if you are planning on purchasing a bunch -- the discount is better at the front counter.

I liked the variety of birds and land mammals that were interactive -- especially Indigo the Parrot.

There are vending machines and a frozen yogurt machine inside in case your babes get hungry. I also LOVED that they had multiple sanitation stations.

This is the coolest little place I've been in a while. Tokens are a bit much but an amazing family let my babies have some and they got to feed sting rays and parakeets!!

Madison was absolutely amazing with the parakeets. My smallest was nervous about the birds and she patiently helped her hold the cup until she was comfortable.

An annual pass is the way to go as it's $40 vs $20 for one admission but we're from Reno. If we lived here, we'd be here so often.

We really enjoyed our experience here at SeaQuest with the kids. My kids are 5 and 2 and had a blast. I love that they open till 7pm and we were able to go later in the day after dinner.

We got Groupon family pack of 4 online and it was a great price. Downside is 2 YO and up requires a ticket.

They loved feeding the parakeet and the stingrays. Wish we saw that it was 3 coins to play with the bengal cat cause my 5 yo would love that! She's obsessed with cats.

5/5! Would recommend for families with young kids!

To start off with the positives, it's a great experience to visit once. The whole experience lasted about 30-40 minutes, but with the kids it may take a little longer if you are feeding and interacting with the animals. They had feeding dispensers all throughout each exhibit. We got to witness their 85 year old turtle walking around freely through the exhibit. SO COOL !! The bird sanctuary is a good interaction spot for the kids to feed them. They've got a lot of variety when it comes to insects & fishes.

Improvements: They need to maintain cleanliness & hygiene. They need to have more exhibits. It kinda feels unsafe with small boxes for SNAKES!!! Really Freaky!!

Prices: TBH $18.99 is a little too much per person. And for kids it's $13.99 + extra for feeding & interactions.

Seaquest is located behind the theater in the Boulevard Mall. It's mostly aquarium type animals. They do have a gift shop, some photo opps, some special opportunities. For a charge you can feed the fish. It's hard to find if you've never been here. Go in the entrance that is between the parking garage and the regular parking. Go past the theater and make a left.

It smells but all the kids I saw there enjoyed it anyway.

This is in a mall so you shouldn't compare it to a big place that is just an aquarium.

Three stars translates to A-OK on Yelp.

Very unorganized entrance. We waited in line for about fifteen minutes only to be told we were 21st on list to get in. Line moving at a snails pace. Since no one was taking tickets at the entrance, we went on in.
Very very disappointing. Small, dirty and very smelly. Old and run down. Many tanks were either not cleaned properly or they need new clear glass. They had far too many fish in one tank, seen in my video. Another tank had a five foot shark in a tank about 20' x 10'. He just swam in circles. Sad. The wallabies had a small enclosure as well. The three cats had a decent size room but seemed a little dirty as well.
I'm glad we didn't wait for our number to be called. We were in and out beforehand.
Such a disappointment and I feel sad for the animals there. Poorly cared for.

Far too many fish in this 'sea'. Sad

My kids had a fun time at Sea Quest but there were definitely some pros and cons!
Pros- the interactive feeding was so fun for the kids! They got to feed sting rays, sharks, chickens, groundhogs just to name a few and it was only 1 token each.
We went during their buy 1 get 1 special which made the encounters pretty cheap. The wallaby encounter was so cool!
The staff were all very friendly

Cons- like the previous reviews mentioned, the tanks really needed to be cleaned. The water was green.
The animal habitats could be better and cleaner
Sea quest is pretty small inside so just plan on spending about an hour or two at most.

Tip- they usually have coupon code if you purchase the admission tickets online.

Let me start off by saying that I had no issues with the staff that worked at SeaQuest. The problem is the housing condition and environment that the animals have in this establishment.

I have never been to a touristy animal attraction place such as SeaQuest and if I did a bit of research, I would've steered clear and away from here. My partner thought this place might be something similar to Monterey Bay Aquarium. Upon arrival, we were shocked it was located in a mall (and confused). All animals here are put on display with little to no regard for their well being. I saw 10+ fish crammed into a tank that definitely was not size appropriate at all. I saw animals of all kinds put in incredibly small cages/tanks/enclosures and looking far from happy. I'm certain that all animals are starved and only fed when guests come and pay to feed these animals. The entire experience was just sad and hard to stomach. There was also a very strong pungent, rotting smell that lingered through the exhibit. I actually almost puked coming inside. I had to find corners away from animals (which really was hard, as all exhibitions were crammed to no end) to breathe in some fresh air.

Little supervision is provided for the animals to ensure guests aren't littering food from other exhibits into tanks or enclosures of animals. I witnessed a child toss birdseeds into the tank as she had leftovers in her hand and glared very sternly at the parents for allowing her to do so. It pained my heart to see how the animals looked lifeless and sad until someone came by to toss scraps of food for their "tricks" and movement.

I'm glad my partner got these tickets for free, because I could not fathom how I could support this establishment and the operation of such practices. I believe that SeaQuest should do more to make the experience more of a learning opportunity for all to appreciate and respect the animals without having to entertain them with morsels of low quality food. If need be, SeaQuest should look to expanding the property (it's a rather spacious mall) or relocating so animals don't need to sit and rest in tiny, rundown enclosures. It also wouldn't hurt to incorporate windows of some sort so animals are given real exposure to light and air as well.

Anyways, that was my experience at SeaQuest.
