George Burgess and his wife, Joanna King, have three children together – Boston, four; Birdie, three; and Blainey, two.

The couple tied the knot In 2016, under an ancient tree, surrounded by their closest loved ones, before heading off to New Zealand to enjoy their honeymoon.
Joanna who was heavily pregnant at the time of their wedding, looked naturally beautiful in a intricately detailed backless Pallas Couture gown, showing off her baby bump.
The family had relocated to the UK in 2019, after George – who formerly played as a prop for the South Sydney Rabbitohs – signed a three-year deal with England’s Wigan Warriors.

He played eight times in the 2020 season, before leaving the club due to an ongoing hip injury.
George represented England against the Australian Schoolboys in 2010 while playing lower grades and training with the full squad of the Bradford Bulls.
On 1 January 2011 George was signed by the South Sydney Rabbitohs to play in the National Youth Competition and NRL in the future.
George previously played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs with whom he won the 2014 NRL Grand Final, Wigan Warriors in the Betfred Super League and for the England Knights and England at international level.
