You’ve probably seen them plastered all over your Facebook feeds by now: advertisements with gorgeous models donning cute, yet ridiculously cheap fashions. If it seems too good to be true, it usually is — the majority of these companies are poorly-managed stores run by people overseas (primarily in China). Best case scenario, these ’boutiques’ will steal images of products from reputable websites and/or designers and manufacture cheap, lookalike clothing and sell them to unsuspecting victims. Worst case scenario, they fail to send products at all, blatantly stealing money from consumers.
I’ve been conned by several of the ’boutiques’ on this list myself, whether it was the heinous quality of the garment, the size discrepancy or the fact that they sent me a completely different product. In the spirit of transparency, I present to you a comprehensive list (that I will continually be updating) of clothing boutiques that you should exercise extreme caution shopping at. Is it possible you might order something from one of these stores and have it look presentable enough to wear? Sure. But the chances of it being high-quality are slim, and when it comes to my hard-earned money, I’d rather not take the chance. I’ve linked to the review pages for all of the stores listed so that you can make an educated decision when deciding to shop there or not.

When in doubt, it’s always a good practice to read reviews from people who were not paid to represent a company (watch out for fake ones—lots of companies are now buying 5-star reviews). Negative reviews are usually a good indication of what a company’s products and services are like. Many of these scammers will close up shop when they rack up enough negative reviews and eventually start over with a new name. As a general rule, I avoid stores with any variation of the words ‘rose’, ‘lily’, ‘mod’ or ‘chic’ in the title because many of these online scam ’boutiques’ are run by the same group of people overseas. The following list contains several legitimate boutiques that I have ordered from in the past and have had pleasant experiences with.
DO SHOP HERE:
- REVOLVE – Pro tip: Head straight to the ‘Sale’ tab.
- ASOS – Sizes can run small here, so size up if necessary.
- H&M – My favorite place to find affordable work clothes!
- Soft Surroundings – This store has similar products to some of the stolen photos found on scam sites. They also offer plus size clothing!
- Forever 21
- Nordstrom Rack – Gorgeous designer dresses at low prices!
- LOFT – Sign up for e-mails and get 30% off your order right now!
- J.Crew Factory
- Free People – One of my favorite brands for bohemian dresses! Can be a little pricey, but you are paying for high quality clothes that will last you many years.
- francesca’s
- VICI – I finally got around to ordering with them and the clothes are SUPER cute & well made!
Or better yet—shop local! If you prefer ordering clothes from the comfort of your home, you can also check out my article 50 cute dresses under $50 or shop via Poshmark, a platform that offers both new and gently used clothing (sign up with code michele1003 for $10 off your first order). If you’ve found yourself prey to one of these scams, make sure to spread awareness by leaving a review on one of the following trusted sites: SiteJabber or TrustPilot. I would also recommend reporting any scam advertisements to Facebook and/or Amazon when you see them (since they are allllll over these platforms). You can also leave a comment below to share your shopping experiences, since these scam stores tend to pop up faster than I can keep up with. Good luck and shop smart!
(Editor’s Note: There are now over 800 comments on this post! If you’re looking for a specific store name, I recommend using Command + F (on a Mac) to find it. Also, I may not respond to every comment, but know that I read them all. Thanks, y’all!)
Hannah says
Thanks for this great list of places to avoid and others that deserve our business! It’s so hard to know what you’ll actually get when you shop online, but there are some real treasures to be found, too!
Michele says
You are very welcome, Hannah!
julz says
Please include CHICNICO. Total nightmare, and thank you for this!❤
Michele says
Julz,
I’ve added them to the list!

Great article! Taylor Brooke boutique is also another one that is over in China; they steal pictures and delete negative comments!
Amber says
Also add poppoly to the no list. Horrid
Michelle says
Thanks for this! Also add BerryLook!
RANDA LANGERUD says
SHEROP IS A TOTAL SCAM! WAITING FOR 2 MONTHS NOW FOR REFUND OF POOR QUALITY CLOTHES. BUYER BEWARE!
Sarah says
Beachside Bunny is another scam site. Cheap Chinese clothing all the way. Everything eventually came but almost everything was unwearable. Fake comments on site and I tried multiple times to post negative review and it would not publish it. And of course they don’t allow returns only exchanges so I’m out a lot of money. Please add to list people don’t seem to have caught on with this one yet.
Nella Messina says
Dear Michele,
I almost made a purchase with Annie Cloth.
Someting kept holding me back with purchase.
I did not finalise payment, I removed what I had in the cart. Now I am harrassed with emails from Annie Cloth, to complete payment! They are a con and a scam, just wanting money. I have never had a online company do this.
Thanks for your blog, at least we know who to keep away from. For me Annie Cloth is one I will never purchase from.
Thanks,
Nella
Tonya Murray says
Also add ell a fancy they will give you the run around and offer 15% discount and you never receive the items you shopped for
Julianne says
I’m still waiting for my “cute” jacket and blouse from Annie’s cloth… I got one piece already and it’s a piece of ____ fill in the blank!!
Linda says
Please add luna wigs to this list. This site is a scam that takes your money and won’t send you the merchandise
PJ Veber says
May I add my thanks to you for providing this list of online stores to avoid. The tidal wave of the scammers is so huge it overwhelms me. Thanks for helping me out.

Natalie says
I just bought clothes from gagigirl.com
Not sure if it’s a total scam and I’m getting my money stolen.
Where they just a bad clothing site? Or did they take your money and you didn’t get products?
Collie hagen says
Have you heard of pretty tonight?
Connie says
I purchased an item from Wotoba, got several responses to my inquiry where is it. Now. after 3 months I am aware I will never receive my item. Telephone number no one answers and email is non existent. I was scammed, but buyer beware. I should have read reviews first. BEWARE.
Tabitha Williams says
Missy go.com should be added. I ordered something and haven’t received my item yet. When I went online to try and contact a person the website no longer exists.
Shara says
Have you ever heard of an online clothing shop called absolutelyfashion.co ? I recently shopped there where they had an “everything free, just pay for shipping” sale and I did that but now I’m afraid that it was a scam because the website is down now. And everytime I Google it, I dont see anything about it.
Andrea says
Thanks for the list.
Lesa says
The ads look so good. I had no idea. Thankfully I saw your data before wasting money .
Pat Norris says
Please add theinnsstyle.com as a very unreliable scam site.
Ewa says
http://www.Epliz.com
I made and order and never received my items.
Vunni says
Have you ever ordered from Molylily or charming boo. I order over a month ago and they didn’t send anything. I got a bogus Tracking shipping number from charming boo.
Inbar says
Hey! Do you know “ Lipplan”? Is it good website? Should I inviting there?
Rachel says
Please add this company to the list Luvrosy.com
BEFORE YOU CONTINUE TO READ PLEASE PLEASE REPORT THEM TO YOUR BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND TO YOUR BANK OR HOWEVER YOU PAID. DISPUTE THE CHARGES. IVE FILED REPORTS TO BOTH. I DONT KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN BUT THE MORE PEOPLE REPORT THEM THE GREATER CHANCE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY WILL GET WHATS DUE TO THEM AND US OUR MONEY BACK.
I found that this company is a scam. I ordered two things. They sent me two very different items from what I ordered. I did not receive the items I purchased. I was also charged for shipping and the website stated very clearly I was to receive free shipping for my order. I have sent them four email requests to return these for a refund. Their website says someone will respond within 24 hrs. It has now been 94 hrs. There is no phone number to call. Only an email on their website. Service@luvrosy.com I am so upset and just want my money back and return these items that aren’t even what I ordered. I can’t get any help from the seller and something isn’t right here.
I am now out of 81 bucks for clothes I didn’t order and the quality of these alone is sooooooooo substandard I wouldn’t buy them at the dollar store
kim schaffner says
Add Diva new look to the list too sis.
Lindsey Hughes says
Please add Bloomjulia to your list. A Chinese fashion scam website. Thank you for posting this list
Patrice says
Also, Maevys Boutique needs to be added!!! Basically stole over $100 from me, and refuse to email me back about my order. They know they did wrong!!
Heather S Doremus says
Beyond King is another one. They got me pretty bad.
Kiera says
What about Vintage Classy. I really want these shorts but there’s no reviews on anything on the site 🙁
Georgia says
I received most of my order this week. The items couldn’t be made of anything cheaper. The dress I received was made of fabric that resembles the fabric that is on the underside of my sofa. It’s to keep bugs out of furniture. Yuk!
Karen Ann Woomer says
Cozy news is a scam trying to find out if cherish list is legit
Jackie Sandles says
I also like to thank you for displaying this list. I too was scammed. I ordered a dress for my granddaughters fashion show. I waited and waited for the dress to arrive. I didn’t receive any tracking information. I attempted to contact the merchant, Missuoo.com, and I didn’t make contact with anyone, nor did I get a response. Therefore, I searched the reviews, which said they were a scam. I wish I had searched them before I made the purchase. So please add Missuoo to your list.
Georgia says
Add~ Chicnora,chicdb,chicdb store,chicdb Shop,ChicdbFans,Elladr,KyraKiss, mdote ~ THESE ARE ALL CHICDB COMPANIES WITH DIFFERENT NAMES‼️There are probably more‼️Scammers‼️
Karen says
Yes wotoba was a huge mistake for me. I will never order from any of these ads again. I found you when researching Noracora, thank you so much!! Wotoba will send you crappy clothing that looks nothing like the pictures. I was able to finally get some of my money back after much hassle. They make it appear that they are based in the UK but then no it’s China as usual apparently. I think these companies just change their names periodically.
L R says
DHGate should also be added. I had a horrendous time trying to return a dress. China! I was patient with them for over a month and ended up having to dispute it with my bank. My bank gave me my money back but I’m still out $40 for shipping – never again!
Connie W says
PICKMY It’s a scam Chinese outfit all the way. No product, no way to contact, no response. I lost my money. Don’t lose yours!
BTW: I ordered thru a slick looking ad on Instagram. I’ve noticed other Chinese companies there w similar great-looking ads. I believe Pickmy just morphs into another name.
Always do your homework. Don’t order ANYTHING from China!!!
Barbara Bolf says
Does anyone know anything about boho joy wedding dresses. Are they reputable?
Chris korth says
How come no one is complaining to Instagram?? Aren’t they responsible for checking out the companies they ate advertising for? This is their reputation too.
Elle says
Is it Pick My Boutique? I am about to order from them and it says it’s a US company?
Elizabeth says
Do not order from Boho Joy. This company has an F rating on the BBB website. They will not respond to your emails. I had to file a claim. I did eventually get my money back because I filed a dispute at my bank.
Linda says
I ordered from berrylook in june i still have not got my order this is july ordered june 16 i dont want to have to sue them i want my product or they are going to court i dont have money to waste i hope i can stop this scaming on people thanks for ur list of places not to shop at thanks again
Cristina Palma says
Do not buy at Shoebefly, it’s unreliable! I bought 2 dresses and after a month, when I received them I realized that I had been deceived. The quality and the model did not look like the photos on the site. I email and they just do not respond. Pay attention before you shop online!
Sheree says
Don’t buy from farpick.com. Never got my order or a refund!
Nicole Weston says
Many Many Thanks!!!! ✨🙏✨
I had bought a blouse online a couple of years ago – that was from China – without realizing it; and it took a month to get here!!!!
– and came in a ridiculously small version of that size !
🌷When I saw these blouses, I was interested but had an intuition that they might be in the category that you describe here.
So after looking at some of them I asked online where they came from, where they were made, and your page came up.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH 😍 for this public service that you have provided as a service, for the rest of us!
Elizabeth Flowe says
I was aware of some of these. Very disappointed that Wotoba is onthis list. Can you put out a list of reputable clothing sites with a similar vibe. Thank you.
Corina Gavriliu says
Hi, how about joom and fashionova? Positive or negative? Thank you.
Kay says
Hi
I saw something I’m very interested in getting and I’ve never bought online before, kindly share your opinion about non basic boutique, is it ligit and sells quality clothing.
Your assistance is highly appreciated
Regards
Katey baca says
Add MAAE fashion to this too! It’s a scam from what I’ve experienced!
Lucie says
Yeh I got a Dm from them on Instagram asking me to be one of their social media influencers but I have been too scared to accept just in case
Kathryn says
Add Mollycutie to your list. They took my money , no product, no tracking number. No response from them at all. I also paid extra money for shipping. They are a scam. I learned the hard way.
NHill says
happened to me to, same thing mollycutie.com they simply vanished
im so mad
N H says
mollycutie on facebook is still reading messenger messages, but have vanished stol 79 dollars from me , make sure ya cancel your credit card or visa debit card asap, as they returned money then took it out again same time, minus 2 cents ,without my authorization , so they refunded 2 cents then stole it from my account outright, without. my permission ,
im thourally sickened by whoever these crooks are, and im out money, and still need clothes,
Sue says
Also add Oceanole Co LTD. They have scammed many with us
Tanya says
Has anyone heard of Abbekro? Lounge wear looks nice but worry not legit ?
Barbara Hill says
Annie ClOTH is a scam that got me for 123.00 dollars I know I will never get my money back these people have stolen a lot of money from a lot of people that need to be STOPPED
Carole Gayler says
Add SHEILAY TO LIST OF COMPANIES NOT TO TOUCH
Francesca says
Yes, I want to thank you as well for this article. Can you please add Nikkigal to the list? It took two emails to remind them of my order and received articles of clothing that looked nothing like the pictures, two months later!Terrible looking clothing. And now for the return process are asking me to take photos and taking more time responding probably to go over that 30 day window they give you to return. It looks like I am responsible for shipping as well according to their policy. Very poorly run business. Thank you again for your research on these companies, Francesca
Julie says
Please add “Venidress” to the list. If you complain on their FB, they delete your posts and block you from their page! It’s wild.
Alexandra says
Having major issues trying to initiate a return from these guys. Did you return anything and how did you finally get them to process your return? They refuse to give me a return address
Diane says
Wow I sure wish I had seen this before now. I ordered a jumpsuit from dresstours, and have yet to get it. however I did get a response from them stating that they are getting my order ready. I think I have been scammed, or if I actually get it what will it look like? Dang!
L says
I had the same issue. Impossible to return. Poor quality.
Stephanie Bruce says
I’m so glad I found your post. I have been trying to contact ChicMolly and they do not have a phone number available. I will probably never see the items I ordered and paid for. Oh Well. At least now I won’t be waiting for them.
Debra Hartsfield says
I, too, cannot seem to contact ChicMolly, and I will NEVER shop somewhere that popped up on FB. I guess my money is lost also. Live and learn.
Nancy Shapiro says
put in a dispute with your credit card bank. You should be able to get your money back if the company never shipped you the product.
Jennifer says
I just lost my money to them too and also could not contact them about why my order had not arrived. Had the same problem with Stylishmolly. They too should be added to the list.
Mikki J says
I want to reaffirm boycotting Modfancy. Two months of emails trying to get an address for free returns and exchanges. Daisy/Aqua/Etc would not release or reimburse. Wanted me to keep the Ill fitting, poor quality $35 blouse to gift. Never ever never again. Thank you for your post. This needs to be spread on media far and wide!
maureen garbis says
Please add Zarinz to the list. Same exact thing ordered and never received. I purchased through PayPal, filed a dispute and got my money back.
Jennifer Allen says
Add Military Hippie to the “do” list !
Teri says
Yes! I’ve ordered 3 sweaters from them so far and absolutely love them!
Tina Armstead says
Please add “Sophiemia” to this list. They shopped a picture of a pair of El Vaquero, moccasin boots, and guess which dummy bought them? You guessed, “me”.
Rita says
You can let your bank know you were scammed and they will usually check into it and refund your money to your account.
Wen Wen says
Hi there! Thank you for the heads up! imI recently ordered from Serengel Boutique. Are they legit??? Omggg
steef says
Hey, I got contacted by serene boutique recently! Do you already know whether they’re an okay webshop? I’m bit in doubt rn so it would be amazing if you could help me out!
Steef says
Serengel* I meant
Cat says
They contacted me legit two days ago and I am skeptical too but if they are legit I wanna go for it
Cathie McKinnon says
I also got scooped by one of these. I kept going on their site to warn people. 3 of the 5 dresses were simply not wearable. Complete garbage not worth $5. The site eventually blocked me. But I was able to warn a number of people before the company got me.lol
Maria says
Thank you very much for this list. What do you think of Modmiss? I get a lot of pop ups from them.
Donna Hodson says
i just ordered from them as well….ugh we will see
Yuko Adames says
Did you ever receive your order? Was your order correct? How long did it take?
Wina Sturgeon says
Modmiss uses stolen photos from authentic stores and designers, and what you get (if you get anything at all) will never look like the photo which was shown on the web site.
Mary jo comstock says
Do not order from them,I’m in the process of trying to get my money back as we speak!HORRIBLE company
Jill says
Think this may be associated with ModFancy. I ordered to be told all items were back ordered and now they won’t refund my money or even answer my emails. Trying to get PayPal to get money back but it doesn’t look good.
Pam Hadley says
zon so you have to go by their delivery. I always pay with Pay Pal when ordering online, that way they will follow up on it.
Monica Bellard says
I filed a dispute with Paypal about an order that was not delivered and I cannot get the seller to respond to me at all. I would have thought that Paypal would be contacting seller for proof of delivery, or something, but they have denied my claim. This was a FB Group that I felt was trustworthy called Destash Divas run by Caitlin Stewart. She had quite a list of people ordering these sandals, so I guess she hurried and billed everyone then quickly deleted all traces of the post (wish I had screenshot it so I could contact some of the other buyers). I have seen pictures of these cute shoes all over FB, so I believe she used this picture and never had or intended to ship them.
Jacqueline says
Please don’t count on it -PayPal are absolute crap !
I bought three item’s from ORDERPLUS INT LTD and they have no reachable phone number , can’t speak to a HUMAN BEING , they are dragging their heels , I can’t access messages that have to be answered within a given time frame , or they will close your case . I will be cancelling my PayPal account as soon as this dispute gets sorted – or not!!!
Margaret Shaw says
What do you know about Mod button in the USA45@ is it genuine ..thank you
Nancy J. Ackerman says
Never order anything from LIN JINRONG.
Alicia says
Please add ‘WhatsMode’ to the list. I was conned/scammed by them last Christmas. They have beautiful pictures of the supposed clothes they sell, but what I received was over very poor quality and it did not match the picture at all. Ultimately, I disputed the charge with my cc company and they refunded me the amount I was charged. But it was 5-6 stressful months of a headache trying to resolve it. Don’t waste your time.
Also, MaxDealShop- the exact thing happened, but it wasn’t with clothes. It was with a lab item meant to healp keep snow/ice off your car’s windshield. It was very low quality and it didn’t match the picture at all.
Fran Percy says
Maxdealshop does not allow for emptying the basket if you get the quantity wrong: in that case you have to redo the order, and they subsequently send you repetitive emails to make you buy the discarded basket even though you have already ordered the same item. Black list – there are enough sites out there to get the same items and we don’t need that sort of harrassment.
And thanks Michele for your very very useful page. Best regards 🙂
Debbie says
This is awesome thank you for all the advice I have been ripped off myself by a few and started going to Pages like this to check them out one on Instagram look very nice and price were mid road but I’m glad I checked your page first keep up the good work
Candace says
I could not find where to leave a comment. It’s probably at the end of the comment list, which is very long! I ordered off of the internet last week (for the first time ever) from kutee boutique. It was for my middle daughter’s only Christmas present! I have three girls and I’m a single mom. The struggle is real! Now I’m freaking that I’ve gotten scammed! The second thing I ordered (my oldest daughters only present) was delivered to. Above All Designs is awesome! Email confirmation, tracking, the whole 9. I haven’t heard a thing from kutee. I’ve tried to contact support, but it keeps coming back as “unavailable to send”. There’s a photo of a store on their site but the address is a web design. The ip server is overseas although they’re claiming to be from MO or MI. It said the store is only worth $480 and averages $2 a day. They took the $50 off my card and I can’t get it back! I told my girls to pick one thing out that they wanted for Christmas. My 11 y.o. is huge into anime. All she wants is the “5 lions” voltron hoodie. Now I have a gut feeling that she will have nothing but a “I’m sorry baby but mommy got scammed” present this year. This is why I’ve always shopped local. Please let me know if you’ve heard of them, or add them to your list so no one will feel like the crappiest parent ever on Christmas. I’m just heartbroken because I know how she’s going to feel when her sisters get their gift. I don’t get paid until the day after but maybe I can make it up to her then.

Another note: If they do not have a physical address, phone number and email address DO NOT USE THEM. Check contact information first before you order. If all you see is an email address avoid them. Thanks for this list. I am still waiting for an order from Heyjue.
Andrew says
Also, there are a lot of sites now that have an address listed – but if you google it it’s obviously fake. Seems like a lot of overseas scammers are using fake or random U.S. addresses to fool buyers.

Hello, how about siaoryne boutique? Are they legit?
Yas says
I would also like to know this. There are zero reviews of Siaoryne online. I can’t find anything. Has anyone ordered from them?

Great list! Thank you for this. I would also add Nikisco which is a new scammy shoe company that has recently popped up.
Alice says
Has this been answered yet? I’d like to know too!

Please add AliccMax, AliccPlus and LoveLuxeFashion. They are all linked and scammed me for $370. 😭

How did they scam you? I was about to order until I read this ! Did they not send anything at all or was it poor quality? (loveluxefashion)

I am very curious about a site called blongdays and the wish site. I do know everything from wish comes from China and quality and sizing I do believe is made for children not grown women( lol). I was so close to buying a few things from blongdays, has some beautiful items. I beyond thank you for what you have put together warning us.

You saved me from getting ripped off AGAIN . Question I love the clothes on Annie clock and Zoe Sweets. Have you seen them on a real site? Especially the Bohemian looks
Ruth Minney says
That’s exactly what I was wanting to know!! Where can we get the clothes of the stolen pictures LOL
I never see the cute clothes i see on Facebook
Lisa Martinez says
Thank you for making these lists! I also found okbridal on ig as another one of those scams. They have a website too. But I’ve seen a company comment on their pics asking them to quit stealing their pictures. I was originally looking to see if a company “chic closet” from Belize or Brazil was legit. But I’m starting to doubt it, thanks to your advice. So thank you again for making this. You are so awesome!
Colleen Thomas says
I made the mistake of purchasing 5 shirts from Wotoba. One shirt arrived, not looking anything like the advertised picture. The color was way off. Size was incorrect also. About 2 weeks later three more shirts arrived. These were not even an attempt to copy what was advertised. They were random sizes with colors, styles, and prints that I never ordered. These were supposed to be embroidered, but were not. The last shirt I ordered never arrived.
ANN Schiraldi says
Annie cloth took my money I got a big top,and pants nothing like the picture,,stay away and didn’t get the rest of my order I lost over $100.

Add Sophie Ella to the list. Sweater not even close to what was pictured. On the bright side, I have my ugly sweater for the holidays.

I ordered from Inslace and returned most of it due to terrible sizing, poor quality, and damaged merchandise. I sent it back to China and followed all their instructions, and now they aren’t acknowledging receiving it or refunding my money. They aren’t answering my emails now either.

Thank you for this article, I have been wanting to order from Rosegal, DressLilly, and Anne Cloth, but after reading this article, i am very leary of ordering from any on line clothing that does not have a store that can be driven to. Its very sad that ppl will take some advantage of others all for money and greed. I believe in Karma and these companies will get their due.
Donna says
add https://www.exactlylove.com/ I have dozens of email messages complaining and their lame response. Bottom line, the product took 100 days to receive, the quality was atrocious, and the refund request is ignored. After a claim with Paypal expired (because they responded to me and I thought we could resolve it) I have no recourse. Once a claim closes with Paypal they will not re-open it. I’m furious!! These companies should not be allowed to do business and the consumer needs representation. I’m out $90.63
Eileen Kerpovich says
There is a website called Cuponis on Facebook. I thought I’ll try the site just to come to find out it was a scam company in China. They kept sending me emails for the yoga pants I shied away for weeks from getting until they were at a price I thought was worth it. Well they kept sending me emails of a cheaper price ( hello RedFlag) although I didn’t see it at the time. Anyways It took about a month and a half to get my “Yoga Pants” and I was charged an international fee on my bank statement, which peaked my interest because I thought this was a company in the US. I finally received the yoga pants and they looked like a 5 year old who just started sewing made them along with the fact that they were 100 percent polyester. And apparently in China a women’s xl USA is a size small in China. My thoughts were “WOW” all around but I’d like to see anyone do “yoga” in a pair of polyester pants…. The actual company that charged my debit card was called StarLink. I decided to do some digging and found out that the company was not to be found accept for on Facebook and there was no way to contact this company. The only thing I could find was a website that sold company names. I ended up contacting my bank and filed a report and the advise they gave me was that once a day they get a call like mine. And seeings I only had the Facebook company’s name Cuponis and nothing else they chalked it up to being a scam company and warned me about ordering from sites. They refunded the full amount and told me that even if I could get a hold of the company, it would cost me more then my purchase to send back etc. I thank you for this information because yet again I was ready to order from the company Annie Cloth. I really love the clothing they were advertising down to the shoes all around earthy clothes. I decided to take a look to make sure this company was reputable and found your site that lists scam companies. You saved me a mess of issues because I’m sure my bank wouldn’t have been so forgiving of me the second time around. However I am bummed because I wish I could actually order a lot of what they were trying to sell. Does this company steel photos from an actual reputable site that I can be safe buying from? Also if you can list Cuponis aka StarLink to your set of scam websites and warn others please do so and save them the trouble. I wish Facebook could weed some of the fraud companies as well.

Also include Spelesy Boutiaue! They are scammers!
I too would give zero stars if…
I too would give zero stars if possible. I wanted to return an unworn item and they told me the address to mail back to (at my cost). I did just that and now after weeks of proving my item was returned to them via the tracking number showing delivery, they are acting like they didn’t receive my pants back and will not refund the money. I tried to have PayPal handle for me and Paypal denied me 2x even with proof. I sent screen shots of emails from Spelesy, a screen shot of me sending the tracking number and a screenshot of USPS showing deliver. I will ALSO be canceling my account with PayPal as they are allowing them to behave in this scamming manner. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! LISTEN TO US!
Carolyn says
Definitely a fraudulent company! They want me to return an item that they sent that does not even remotely look close to what I ordered, and I won’t do it because I won’t get my money back. They are scammers.
Reported them to the BBB, and will be charging back the purchase on my credit card.
So sorry this happened to you.

Please add Ivezy online. They popped up on my Instagram. I ordered something from them almost two months ago and it still has not arrived. Add Mooshe!! Awful customer service and take several months to ship, in my case I ordered 5 months ago and they said 2 months ago that it “must have” gotten lost in the mail so they sent another, but still haven’t received :/
Veronica says
Please include meetindress #mhtats. This company is terrible. Dealing with them regarding shipment was unreliable. Poor customer service. After multiple attempts to cancel an order they pushed rush delivery and when received the quality of the product was poor and did not look like the photo. When attempted to return they ignored my messages and push to keep it give it someone else . They said they would give me a 3.00 refund which I’m still waiting for after 2 months. Please highlight this website.

Hello! Can you please add Beqino.com to your list? I recently spent $500 on a site that had a lot of great ratings on their clothes. I realize how dumb that choice was now. Most of the items they sell are not like the pictures. They sent a dress that had buttons falling apart! I realize now that most of the reviews are fake, because my account seems to be the only verified one with a rating.
Veronica says
Please add Henlenhebe to the list. They tout remarkable handmade sustainable organic fabrics that look straight out of Game of Thrones. Shipped items quickly from China but they are cheaper than cheap, unwearable awful fabrics. Facebook page is a sham as well, negative comments are removed with only the angy emojis remaining.

Thanks so much for your list. I bought from a store with really cute clothing and bought $400.00 of cute shirts. It took 3 weeks to get and I cried. Hello this site my complete boutique is giving awau their products you just have to pay for shippong fee. Is this legit? Thanks
Grace says
I read the fine print in the My Complete Boutique terms of service, even if you have multiple items in your cart they will randomly pick only one item to send to you. Wish i’d read that first before i got slugged with $15 for shipping…gonna wait and see what random item (if any) i receive.
Catherine Cullen says
I made the same mistake 🙁
Yulianti says
5 minutes ago I just did that mistake 😭
Kaylinda says
Uggghhh me too!! I thought I was getting such a good deal with my 15 items for $15. What a scam!! I guess now we just wait for our ONE item -_- (that was probs not worth $15)
Yulianti Kaser says
Oh my goodness, You guys should really becareful now, I was just curious and checked if i could ask about my “free item” delivery status to ‘my complete boutique’ yesterday, and it turned out that they already have deleted their website and the customer service “gmail” email was not active anymore. So goodbye $15, because in my country, there is no return policy as credit card protection for a case like this. So now i still have to pay for this . Lesson learned.
Lisa O'Reilly says
I bought several items from Heyjue and liked most but wanted to return 2. The email address the publish on their website as the ONLY way to contact them or return is not valid. service@heyjue.com

Oh noo Iv just ordered from them a couple of weeks ago and still nothing and tried to email them but their email is non exsisting 😢

Melis says
My complete boutique is a scam. I ordered 2 week ago, got text confirmation and nothing. Link doesn’t work anymore and they never returned my email complaint. SCAM!!! Took my money
Paula says
Add Purity Straps to your list. I ordered 2 purse straps for LV bags and was charged for them 4 months ago. Never received! She will not return calls or emails. She advertises on FB. Save someone else the trouble. According to her supposed hometown of Enterprise, Ala she does not have a business license so I don’t think it exists. Just a scam! Thanks.
Heather B says
I ordered from the a week ago and they sent me a text with the confirmation to check status. It kept saying order processing up until today, and now the link doesn’t work and neither does the site….seems like this one is definitely a scam 🙁
Aimee says
Me too now am on here 🙈🙈🙈
Andreea says
Someine manage to take the money back from them?I hope i do😢
Michele says
Have you tried to dispute the charge with your bank? They may be able to help you, since the charge is fraudulent and you never received the items.
Michelle Cibott says
Try to always pay with PayPal, their resolution process is really good. Also run, run, run from a site called BerryLook.
Mai says
Please add BabesWhoShop (ad on facebook) i ordered 7 swimsuites for a total of about $15. Charged but never recieved my order. I ordered back in June. Website is not valid anymore and email sent no response either. Never again.
Kathy says
I also had a bad experience with anniecloth. Paid for items but never received it
Donna says
Paypal does not always help. I opened a dispute because item wasn’t delivered and then the seller suddenly responded. We were communicating so I let the claim expire with Paypal. Over 90 days later and still no product, Paypal says ‘sorry we cannot re-open your claim’. They washed their hands of it
Kelly says
You should add Shoebefly to your list! I had a nightmare with this company and had to have Paypal get my refund for me. They are a scam as well!! They advertise heavily on Instagram.
Tatiana says
Your are the best guide I love this post as I was shopping online for 3 days now trying to find a dress I noticed all this scam sites had same dresses and same pictures with different prices !!! Thank you again I will share your post .
Sophie Martin says
Please include Luvyle, ordered a top, they answer emails but so far no top weeks later and the link For despatch goes no where.
Revathy says
Please add uoozee to the no list.
Took my order snd money no oroduct yet almost a month.
Fiona says
I second Uoozee. Return policy is a complete scam – after 10 emails back and forth will refuse to refund.
Nadine says
I also had a bad experience with Uoozee – the clothing size chart is terribly wrong, the fabric is thin and cheap – and when I emailed to ask about exchanging for a different size, I got the same email (Opening with “Dear Customer:”) that I have I read about, no refund, just wanting to know what size I want and I can send them more money to get it. No packing list came with the order, no paperwork of any kind. The clothes look lovely online – and are made to appear very large and roomy – the “XL” I ordered (based on their chart of 42″ across the chest) MIGHT fit my 15 yr old granddaughter, though the sleeves seem like they are made for a very thin 10-yr-old. Luckily, I ordered a necklace as well, and that was as photographed. But the money spent on the dress will just have to be a write-off for me, as I am not about to waste my time e-mailing back and forth.
Linda Reynolds says
Chinese stores an xl is a 4xl!!! And even then…
Brenda G says
Thanks for this…I was just looking at that site and saw some wonderful things but almost too wonderful for the $$. Thank you for sharing your thoughts to this list … sorry for your bad experience though~
DEBORAH ROBERTSON says
You need to add Boutique Blvd. to your list, I just got scammed by them, I called the bank to get their phone number and of course, it was disconnected. Now I have to have the bank do an investigation in order for me to get my money back, I first noticed the screw up when they sent a text with my order number and the website wouldn’t come up!
Kay says
They got me too girl…smh
Rashell says
They also got me! I’m currently working with my bank to get the charge reversed as well. Luckily it was only $14.
Daniella says
They also contacted me, I want to know if their trustable… I was thinking that maybe I can buy something cheap to see if it’s real.
Arog says
I also recieved a brand ambassador message!?
Eve says
Me too, i actually came here to confirm if its a scam or not
Rebecca says
Yeah same here. Looks like they are trying to get more ambassadors. Wonder why? Did anyone find out if it’s legit or not?
Greta Sandon says
Hi girls!thanks a lot for your feedback,it can help many people like me that are contact to become ambassador.
After having published a photo of a shooting, they contacted me and proposed me yo become ambassador.
The way tooooo polite ‘hi Honey to be named and the insistence of them leave many doubts…so be careful!🤐
Karen Marusk says
I also got a message from them and I joined their ambassador team. They said they would give you your own code and you’d get commissions from that, however the code doesn’t work, probably on purpose too. The only code that works is the 50% off one.
Karen Marusk says
But everything else seems to be fine. The photos on their Instagram page seem to be real as well
.. says
Yes same here. How did your experience go?
Sarah says
Me too!! Their clothes are not inexpensive and they’re asking for lots of ambassadors
Alyson y says
Also got an ambassador request… anyone order clothes from there?
Kacey says
I was also asked to be an ambassador and I actually bought something from them. I ordered the cheapest thing they had ($35) which is still way overpriced. On the model in the pictures the shirt looked a little baggy. That was okay with me because I hate form fitting clothes anyway and proceeded to buy a L because I like over-sized t-shirts. I ordered back in November and didn’t receive it until January! Frankly, I had forgotten about it. When I tried it on, it was super tight and fit more like a small than a large, not to mention there were no tags on it to show if they had sent the wrong size. I can’t even get my money back because they don’t do refunds, only returns for store credit. I wouldn’t shop there if they were the last store on earth, tbh.
Sharyn says
Hi I ordered from this company over 3 month ago and still not received I have emailed and they are as u said definitely in China I also ordered from Hovlly.com and that had not arrived either very disappointed never again Thks for your list
Nicole says
I also got a message from them about becoming an ambassador. Wondering if it’s legit
Elizmary says
I responded to their inquiry about becoming an ambassador and they gave me a discount code and stuff. I was a little skeptical too but i havent used the discount code yet or anything.
kyla says
I just “became” an ambassador and ordered something off their website, we will see if it ever comes….
Elle says
Has it ended up coming? Do you think they are legit?
Shavon says
Please let me know as well. I just became an ambassador too. But haven’t submitted the form.
Ingrid says
Hi! Anything new here?

Please include Juli Chic-zero notification, zero tracking, expensive shipping, nothing arrived on my doorstep 🙁 Currently working with PayPal to get a refund…
Pamela McAuley says
I second JuliChic. I started a dispute through PayPal this past week … $142 worth!!!! No response from JuliChic at all.
Jill Cohen says
Same here! I’m glad I only ordered one item from them, but with no communication or product from them, today I filed with Pay Pal.
Laura says
PLEASE add MollyCA to this list! They’re often advertised on Pintrest (shout out to Pintrest – stop letting them advertise!). Their products either don’t come at all, or are poorly and cheaply made and look nothing like the pictures. Customer service is non-existent. DEFINITELY avoid.
Lesley says
Add Yaever to the list! Still waiting for a dress from May 2018 and the one I did receive was not at all what was in the picture and way too small!
Alexa says
same here!!! any follow up ladies?!
sofia says
Yes, me too!!
Bodil Bergstrom says
I signed up and purchased from them twice. The first order came fast but the second order took like 1,5 weeks which I’m used to 3 day delivery.
Hayley says
How was the quality of the clothing? They just contacted me and am hesitant.
Kris says
Wondering about this too! Just got asked an hour ago about becoming a brand ambassador. Was told about the perks and such and sent an application but I’m a bit skeptical.
Also looked at reviews of their clothing on their site, all have 5 stars, I don’t know maybe it’s just me but I find perfect scores for everything fishy….
Hannah says
Definitely stay away from them! I ordered a couple of things when they asked me to become an “ambassador” and its been over a month and a half. I messaged them on instagram for an update on my package and they only respond with “someone will respond soon honey….. pls kindly wait….” so i emailed their customer service email and they said the same thing.
Wanda Knipp says
They just keep changing their names very quickly. By the time you figure it out, they’ve cashed your check and bailed out. How can we fight back against this crap? What can we do to them to make them uneasy? Not the people but their government.

Also add Brielle & Co.! The dress I ordered was totally misrepresented. They have basically shut down their FB & Etsy sites (disabled messaging, commenting, & “liking” functionalities), and their website has no contact info! Therefore, no returns possible. I have learned a hard lesson!
Kim Borel says
Wish I would have seen this in March when I ordered $96 of merchandise from Pinkinshe and still have no tracking number. They have corresponded with me thru emails but I feel I have been scammed.
Any suggestions if I can get my money back?
Thanks

Do not order from Vivimuses.com They take forever to send, after several emails trying to cancel my order. They then responded to my cancellation email and said it shipped, the shipping info. did not work. Once I emailed to cancel, again, it did eventually ship. What arrived was terrible quality, not like the photos, different color. I have tried to email them every day since to request a return, no response. I am on email 10.
Terri Nelson says
Has anyone purchased items from Sheella.com?
Alex says
Can you add Avenies Boutique? I recently ordered from them, not only was it not cheap but the garment was super frayed and not proper US Sizing obviously. I return to their site to find out no returns or refunds or exchanges!?! Guess it’s my own fault for not checking, but I figured any place at least offers exchanges!?

WISH I HAD FOUND YOUR SITE BEFORE I ORDERED FROM CHILILOOK. I ORDERED TWO DRESSES, TOOK ALMOST 2 MONTHS TO RECIEVE THEM, NOTHING LIKE ADVERSITED, SO CHEAP I HAD TO THROW THEM AWAY. BEEN DEALING WITH THE COMPANY VIA EMAIL, WILL REFUND ME 15% OF MY COST OF $75.00. CAME FROM CHINA WHICH I DIDN’T KNOW WHEN ORDERING. TERRIBLE THAT THESE PEOPLE CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS KIND OF BUSINESS. LEARNED MY LESSON.

Add lemonscoca. Of 5 items, I did decide to keep 2, but they are definitely cheap knock offs. One of the items I ordered is a well known name brand shoe. The description and the photo show the name brand. What I got is a terrible knock off! No brand name label. All from China. Trying to return, but likely won’t be able to.
Anja says

Have you heard anything about romful?
Dee says
Please add NoraCora to the list. ordered a couple of tops and pants. The sizing pattern for the tops must have been a card board box bottom. No form. the pants, terrible fabric.
Ann Allen says
I second that. Complete scam which is another ChicV front brand from China that advertises quality products and usually sends nothing after payment, and if it does, it is terrible quality, sizing, material, and arrives many weeks after ordering (if at all), and takes advantage of PayPal by sending a bogus tracking number that insinuates a shipment was made.
Lisa Jackson-Lockhart says
Wow, these are the times we are living in, fraud is everywhere. Thank you for caring and sharing.
Libby McLean says
I’ve started searching for the home office of any online company I plan to buy from – why, you ask?! Because of HONEYALL company. They are part of the Xi Corp. I returned all items in April, sent an email & now going thru PayPal. The size was totally wrong, fabric not as stated, quality was trash and now they have my money, which quite honestly, I do NOT expect to get back but will continue trying!
Melissa says
Thank you for the comprehensive list!! Saved me from buying on one of the sites you listed!!!
Leisha says
Add ROAM – sent me half of order including a broken earring and when i messaged thro PayPal sent me abusive messages! I did get refund but super rude!
Sheila says
Add Sheinfancy to the list (May to July ’19)– my first and last time using a Chinese clothing website. Usual complaints of color, fabric, cut not at all like the photos. What was unusual were taunting email replies to my request to provide a US returns address and instead they offered $12 or $15 refund. One $34 item did not show up (plus over $100 in returns are sitting here, packaged up)
By now the site is likely re-named.

OMG ! I just got out of the Hospital ICU. I must stay in Bed. I decided to try and do some shopping for Summer Dresses. I went online and was Incredulous at the Great Casual Dresses. I live in Florida, so I loved the bright colors, cute dresses for $19 . I went to various sites to see if I could get a better bargain. Fortunately, I made a list of every site I went to. It did not occur to me, that I was seeing scams. After I had about $120 Dollars worth of Dresses I was going to buy, it occurred to me that I did not see Reviews. So, I went to Google and started looking. Imagine my Shock. The Stores I planned to purchase from had the worst reviews and are on your list . I had almost died, been in Hospital and spent hours looking at these Despicable Sites. I almost burst into tears. Fortunately, because of Wonderful People like you. I did not get scammed. Since I have nothing better to do. I am going to research all these sites and put them on Facebook. One place I did buy from was Alibaba or Aliexpress about 8 years ago. I never received anything. THANK YOU Allison

Thanks for this list. I wish I had found this site before having a terrible experience with Carine. I ordered a raincoat for $69.00 and it arrived six weeks after I ordered it. I had needed it for a trip, and because it arrived (from China) after the trip was complete, I sought a refund and returned the item (to England – no less). After many impolite responses from the company, I disputed the charge with the credit card company. Carine contended that the item never arrived at its warehouse. Yikes! Beware of Carine. And thank you for this site.

Hi!
So I ordered clothes from Balanla not knowing it was scam website.

Do you have any advice on how I can escalate it past the generic customer support get my money back?
If you could please email me at address below I’d SO appreciate any help!

I had the exact issue with Balanla! They are a HUGE scam. Send you through a ridiculous return process including sending pictures of proof that things don’t fit (creepy) and then once you pay $40 to send it back to China they stop responding completely – so they got their crappy cheap clothes back AND kept the $92 I spent… How do we report these people and get our money back?
Gwendolyn Garza says
Also I’ve ordered from Kingsstart, Beaulite and Kingsstart 3 sites that have taken my money total over$300 and 13 outfits been overv2 or 3 weeks haven’t heard from them. Maybe you can add them to your list. A lot of these places change names
Leticia says
You need to add Stayboho.com to the list!
I purchased a bag from them, only to find out they are using another shops photos.
Shortly after placing my order, I sent an email asking for it to be canceled and for a refund. They said they would do it, but it would take 2-3 day to start the refund… I didn’t understand this as I paid through PayPal, so it’s literally a simple click. But 3 days later, still no refund. It has now been 9 days and they won’t even respond to my emails.
Their website says they ship within 48 hours with free shipping but I was charged for shipping, and once you place your order, it say it will take up to 4 days before it is shipped. I haven’t even received a shipping conformation email if they’re not going to refund me. So I have now contacted PayPal and opened a case to get my money back.

Another good looking website that sells really fake clothes with wrong labels is GoodGirlRebel.com.
Cindy says
I have actually ordered from good girl rebel and have really good experience with them (clothes camee EXACTLY AS PICTURED) … Only thing is there shipping takes 2 weeks… And i am impatient…
And i just ordered from them a second time…waiting for it to ship.. (what brand did you get from them?)
hope my experience this second time will be good as well. what did you order from them?
HC Hastie says
I ordered from Annie Cloth. For starters it took forever to receive my order. Secondly, very cheap materials used and looked nothing like their pictures. I wouldn’t wear the clothing if my life depended on it. I should have known by the inexpensive prices. I am returning and asking for a refund. Wish me luck!
Kimberly says
Thanks for this! I wish I would have seen it before I bought a raincoat from Carine via Facebook. The coat wasn’t even the same item that was in the photos, the quality was horrible and I don’t think it would have shed a drop of rain. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that I was responsible for shipment back to the UK and that was 20 bucks. Anyway, almost five months later and they still haven’t credited my account. I have tracking information and proof that the item was returned to them and just today they claim they will credit my credit card. We will see.
BRENDA says
What is your observation of Popzora?
Rebecca says
I placed an order with them 2 days ago, and I am now cancelling it via email and refuting the charge for them being fraudulent with my cc. I ordered a sweater and they have stolen the image of a hand knit sweater you can see on Pinterest. In fact they have several of those images as well as other similar store fronts having that one and a slew more. They are stealing hand knit pattern designer images and those who have knit these sweaters themselves. One big scam.
Rachel says
Thanks for an excellent article. I was just trying to find information on “Chicsellers”, another new one to be avoided I think! So frustrating to see a nice clothing item and not be able to find the original seller though. The only way I can think of is to Google search the image but then it’s virtually impossible to tell if the source is legitimate. For example, looking for a particular top and the same image is on a number of different websites. Argh! Anyway, good list. Thank you!

I think they’re fake. Looking closely at some of the photos, such as a beautiful embroidered coat (which in the picture looks like felted/boiled wool but they claim is cotton–a cotton coat?), I noticed the embroidery is not real, it is flowers PhotoShopped onto the coat photo. Very cute stuff but I don’t think it’s real and the website is only two months old. Also I can’t find any customer reviews.

I just got an ad for Zolucky. Seems to be a new site (no reviews) but product images are duplicates of ones I’ve seen on Noracora and Anniecloth ads.
Julie says
Both NoraCora and Anniecloth are listed above in the do not shop list and if all of these photos are coming from a single site I’d sure love to know what legitimate site they come from.
RubyS says
I ordered 6 items from Zolucky and only 2 fit ok. The rest were oversized. All items were cheap fabric and poorly made. There is no phone number anywhere on their website and all communication was via email. Any items I wanted to return had to be sent to China (really??!). I finally negotiated another 25% off all the items and had to alter them myself. There were no reviews on their website either which I should have known that there’s a red flag. Stay clear of Zolucky, their products are no where near the pictures!

Thank you for the list of on-line shopping places to avoid. I had an unfortunate experience recently where I ordered a sweater from popzoza. I was disappointed when I unwrapped the item I purchased. It was nothing like what the model was wearing, The fabric was cheap, it was poorly stitched, the sizing was not proportionate (short sleeves and long torso), and there were no tags on the sweater. I could tell that the package was from China because the return address had a label covered over a Chinese address. Fortunately, my loss was only $33.94. I didn’t see popzoza on your list, but I did note popzora. Thank you for allowing me to address my disappointment. I tried to express it to popzoza on Facebook but the negative comments were deleted.

Please include Zolucky in the DON’Ts!! HORRIBLE! I was sucked in via Facebook seeing one cute top and then looking at all their stuff, I added two more to my cart and paid. That was January 3rd. I received two of the three day before yesterday, January 22nd.
Not only was the fit WAAAAAY off, I had intentionally ordered three sizes UP knowing how China is! UGH! Anyway, I now see what they did for their online catalog…they have the models wearing much longer and better designed tops but then they sell us all the “cut down” versions! One, that was supposed to have an 11.8″ sleeve has next to NO sleeve! I wish I could post pictures of this one particular one here and you would be shocked! It was also supposed to be linen! It’s definitely not linen! It’s some stiff cheap cotton type fabric. I doubt it would hold up through a wash cycle, to be honest. I paid nearly $60 for these three tops that look like they may have been from a dollar store. :/
Anyway….BEWARE “ZOLUCKY”! There’s nothing lucky about shopping at Zolucky!

Please consider adding sayshoponline to this list of sites to stay away from. I recently purchased a dress for a wedding two months in advance. This site charged my card, but did not provided any tracking information. I tried multiple times to contact them for the info, and they blamed the shipping company. I still have not received my item, the wedding has already passed, and the shop is unwilling to issue a refund. Don’t waste your money or time shopping on this site. CupShe on the other hand, had the same exact item, shipped it within a week, and when it didn’t fit, they immediately provided return instructions.
Julie Fielden says
Thank you for the information on these scams. Giolovely needs to be added. Made big mistake of ordering from this company. Made an order on number of things. Cancelled the order 4 months ago (before it was shipped). Said they would provide refund. Never happened but sent garbage clothing over these past months. Never ordered any of them. Still no refund. Best part they asked if I wanted to return to them at my cost. Threw it in the garbage and won’t share the language I used.

I have three more companies to add to your invaluable list: NINACLOAK, UPUSTYLE, and ZOLUCKY. They just keep on coming. About a year ago I clicked on one pop-up ad for one of these scam clothing brands – who could resist the adorable dress they pictured? But just before I clicked to buy it, I looked up the return policy, something I always do. Returns must be made within two weeks of the date in which the product was sent! Hmmm. A little odd. And then the clincher: Returns must be sent to China! That did it. I didn’t order the adorable dress but I did go looking to see if the company was a scam – and I found this blog. Thank you! Ever since, when these ads pop up – and in the last week they’ve popped up all the time (on the Boston Globe site, LLBean, AdAll book seller, and the Weather Channel) – I google “Is ———- a scam?” and the answer is always YES! “A 1% trust rating!” “A 2% trust rating!” Please, research/look up/find/out before you give anyone your credit card. And once again, thank you to this blog for keeping a list that often pops up when I google one of these suspicious companies.

Amanda Mandell says
Please add Casspy Fashion to the list! Ordered almost 3 months ago and I’m not even sure if the order will ever arrive or what the products will look/feel like. They are stealing images 100%!
Jana says
I agree to add Casspy. I ordered from them in February and just got my dresses yesterday on May 7th. The dresses are thin, cheap fabric and they fit nothing like the photos. I noticed on Instagram that they told someone they are based in NY but when I looked for contact info on them, it was listed in China. They just gave vague responses to emails. I’m not impressed at all!
Danielle says
Yes, Casspy is a terrible and potentially an illegitimate “company”. I ordered a couple of pieces on April 30th and haven’t heard a peep except that my order has been shipped by USPS and another delivery service in China? So which is it? When I go to track, I get nothing – useless information. After several attempts to follow up on my order, both via email and on their “Contact Us” page, and getting no response, I filed a dispute with my credit card company. I would advise doing the same thing if you haven’t already done do.
Val says
I would add Apostolic Clothing to this list. Cheaply made clothes shipped from China.
Sarah Gedden says
Vencano is the WORST. I saw their advertising on IG and ordered a little over $100 worth of clothing. Three weeks go by and NOTHING. I call them and none of the numbers work. I then email and it directs to a completely different company. After emailing both of these they submit a “ticket” and then you hear nothing. I notified my bank and we are reporting them as fraudulent. STAY AWAY. I have ordered from Shein and RomWe and both are great!
Equilla W. says

I was recently scammed from a site called Shapeshe…on Facebook. I ordered at the beginning of April and still have yet to receive my product.
They keep saying because of the pandemic, it’s been delayed. I asked for a refund and have yet to receive it.
I am going to report them to Facebook.
Caron Feldman says
Thank you for your article.
There are a few more to steer clear of as they are scam artists and thieves just as bad if not worse and are being plastered all over Facebook and use multiple names for their company and unless u really look, it’s not as apparent that they are all the same company using different names as well as have a completely different company that charges u. Beware of JG dress, Talacot and a few more that are posting all over Facebook and have taken advantage of many people during this pandemic
I got lucky that I was able to get my money back from Talacot but then I ordered 2 separate orders from JG dress and did research on this company only to read that there were tons of women that had ordered from this company and have yet to receive their orders after 2 months. I tried to find a contact number but all they had was an email. I sent several email requesting to hear back re my money and orders and stating that they are fraudulent and scam artists and if I did not hear back at once I was going to contact my bank and report them as fraud and scam artists as well as sent them an email that I would post all over social media to beware of them and contact the FBI cyber division. I finally heard back and I received my 2 orders however i have been trying to contact them bc the stuff was nothing like what the pictured showed and were definitely not what I ordered. I have sent at least 10 emails but have yet to hear back anything as of yet so I m going to post stuff on social media and send the company copies of what I post and let them know I am going to contact my bank that they are fraud- perhaps that will result in my finally hearing back
Anyways , thanks for ur post and beware of These other places I said like Talacot, JG dress and Eve’s Addiction

How about Linender?

Thank you for writing this! You can probably add Luvrosy to the list. I never received one of the items I ordered, and the ones that did come were cheap fabrics and not as pictured. When I tried to return the items you have to contact customer service for the return address they gave me a run around for over two months. I never was able to return the items and am now out the money. 🙁

I don;t think i will ever see my money back.

Thank you so much for this wonderful list of wear to buy and where to avoid!!! I bought a dress advertised on Boho a while ago. It was nothing like the photo advertised and the material was awful and an appalling misfit! I asked to send it back but all the seller wanted was a good review, & first offered to give me a partial refund. She then went on to say that if I gave her a better review for the dress than I eventually submitted she would refund all my money!!! I just ignored her from then on and she wasn’t happy!!!
I have had the very occasional items from Wish which I actually was lucky with but always concerned as to whether they would fit as their sizes are different to ours. My husband finds them ok and has bought a lot from them. Maybe he had just been lucky.

Hi,
How are you?
Just to share my experienced with you,
I brought a dress in this site Jolly-Vintage. This shop is a scam!
Please put it in your list. The dress is over price with a lousy quality from china. So disappointed!
And i asked for an exchange, they don’t accept exchange and gv me a 15% voucher to shop again in their site.
Please let more people know about it more shoppers get cheated!
thank you!
Martha says
Oh no! I just ordered a Mrs maisel dress from them. Is it really that bad?
Audrey says
Hi there!
I also made a purchase from Jolly-Vintage recently and my dress wasn’t even the color they showed in the pictures on their website. Plus I ordered a XS and it was still way too big for me. And it did indeed look very cheap for the price I paid!
First thing I did is to contact customer service to see if I could get a refund. They sent me a really sketchy address that I can’t find anywhere on map (I don’t think that’s normal).
Then I proceeded to write a comment on their Instagram page telling people about my experience, which they apparently didn’t appreciate because they deleted my comment and blocked me. So then, the customer service started ranting about how my review was fake, that I didn’t “check the sizechart carefully before placing my order” but that they accepted negative reviews anyways.
I think that the thing they said that made laugh the most was: “You placed the fake review in the website without any responsibility, and hide behind your PC/Mobile phone, great work!” I mean… how could they have been more professional?
Now I really don’t want to send back the dress because I’m scared that I won’t get a refund anyway.,,
I’d like to hear more about them from others as well! I don’t think there’s enough reviews of them, but now I know why I guess.
Mindi Marks says
Please add Viaddy to the list. The shipping took two months and the clothes were the worst quality I’ve ever seen. I also didn’t receive one of the items I paid for. They returned half of what I spent on the missing outfit.

I can say that Serengel is still at it. They just offered me 50% off my first order. As an aspiring fashion blogger, this discount was a nice offer but I’ve been burned in the past by companies like this. Thank you for the heads up!

After two months I received my order from Annie Cloth. The dress I received was not the one I ordered. Both items I ordered were totally unwearable. The material they were made out of was like the type of fabric that Halloween costumes are made from, and I’m not kidding. I’ve never ever seen any item of clothing made from the so-called fabric that these items were made from. Rather than ever having to deal with this company again, I threw the items into the trash. I feel SO taken advantage of. Buyer beware!

You may as well add vellichic to the list. Returns have to go back to China, which costs a fortune! And their sizing is WAY off. 2 of the T shirts I ordered were so short they didn’t even reach my jeans, one of the long sleeve T shirts in a size large was so big it was falling off my shoulders, the extra large sweatshirt was so small that I couldn’t even get it over my head. They wanted to give me a $10 store credit for my $140 order. Yeah right!

I just wanted you to know that I got totally scammed from Annie Cloth. Never thought of reading the reviews before ordering. At first it was a true good to come true. The clothing was so poor and and everything was too small. One of the sweaters had a stain on it and the sleeves were sewn on inside out. Requested to return all items come to find out shipping everything back to CHINA costed more than my entire order. There was a USA return address on one of the packages and I said I will return my items there and that didn’t help at all. The offered 15% back at first if I keep everything. I kept complaining that that so insane, They insisted that the money could be used to adjust my garments that were already too small!!! They offered 20% and then 30% compensation if I kept the order. I finally settled for that as I was getting no where with them. I have yet to see that a credit has been applied to my credit card. So So So frustrating!!! j

Please add Clothestylish aka Noracora. The pants were so inferior couldn’t wear, notes back back and forth, they wanted to give me $10.00 gift cert instead of refund. Fought fir months til they finally refunded most of purchase price. They said too expensive to return?
Found out they my bank they are also using, Noracora a great hint telling us it’s not a reputable company.
For $39.98 it took so much time to resolve, but it was the principle. Hope no one else uses them.

Yes, Maevys boutique needs to be added. Ordered pair of shoes, worst quality, glue on the shoes and scuff marks and then they didn’t post my negative review
leah says
Bookmark worthy. You saved me money.
Amy says
WOW! Thank you so much for taking YOUR time and helping SO many people.
I certainly would bet, your kindness is going far beyond what you had originally imagined!
Sam Forster says
Avoid Kensilk to your list too, same scam’ bled £100 from me for horrible tripe I couldn’t return.
Marisa Wagner says
A new one that should be included on your list is True Feat. They sell leggings and sportswear for exercising. Their return/refund policy is nonexistent. They owe me $112 for two pair of leggings that I returned unworn and in original package.
Kelsi Nusbaum says
I have had a horrible experience with mode fashion… I ordered a pair of shoes October 19th after seeing many advertisements on social media and have not received my shoes I ordered October 19th and no response from any contact .. doubt they will ever come at this point
Megan Haigh says
Please add Khith clothing (and all businesses with that same fake HO address) .. stolen photos, won’t refund, fabric rayon and not the advertised cotton or chiffon. Dresses arrive in varying sizes which differ enormously from website
Liz Lamach says
Awesome list. Please add charm luster to list. They do not take returns. Offered me $4.00 for $28.00 shirt. Said it wasn’t defective. Shirt runs 2 sizes smaller than marked, but not defective? They said I should take the partial refund and donate shirt. WHAT A SCAM. Do not buy from any of their mirror companies offering cute 3D looking cat shirt and lined sweats.
Shelly Olliff says
I personally think we need to send a stinging letter to Facebook for allowing false advertising from Chinese fake web sites. They are contributing to the problem. I’m done buying ANYTHING that is Made in China! Since they are so savvy with scams sites, they need to be more diligent with advertisers.
Patrice Boquet says
Can you please ad Luxe& Avva to the bad list I ordered an item and it was never sent and they won’t answer when I ask why I never recieved ? I ordered it 3 months ago it cost over$50😩

Please add Vansnico: https://www.vansnico.com/products/the-explorer-shirt-in-charcoal-herringbone

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
I had tried to order 2 dresses from FloryDay this morning. The ordering system was such a mess that I finally gave up. If I hadn’t seen this I may have gone back and tried again later.
Gabriela Alexandra Favela says
Thank you so much for this blog, wish I had seen it at the beginning of the pandemic! I bought from Annie Cloth and Boho Beach Hut and the clothing was NOTHING like the photos. They were cheaply made and color of the fabric looked old and faded.
When I tried to return all of the clothing, the companies never responded (after dozens of emails) until I finally complained to PayPal.
jennifer bullen says
I’m glad you put this company on this list: Boho Beach Hut-
You wouldn’t believe what they did to me and are still doing 5 months later!
ZERO STARS! THIS COMPANY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! They make it so that they look like they are an American company but its CHINA! And since its from China i expect their crap to be cheap – just like the quality it is. Crap and Cheap! But its not cheap. The quality of the times is absolute junk! Looks nothing like the pictures. TOTALLY MISLEADING! They take 3 months to get you something, they wont allow you to cancel your order once you find out this is china crap. STRAIGHT UP REFUSE TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER! Items sent back. Then they will refuse to refund you! I have been arguing with them for 5 months! LYING THIEVING SHADY STEALING CRAP COMPANY! Do yourself a favor and order from somewhere else! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Carrie smith says
I got used bye zulucky for several hundred dollars. I trusted what they showed was what they sold. When I got the “items” they were so bad and the sizes were all wrong. You can’t send them back because they need to go to China and that costs three times the amount of the item, thus not worth it.
So I kept all my cc bills outlining what they charged me, all receipts from them including the list with the picture of the items.
Then I turned them in to the federal trade commission. I suggest that everyone who has been abused bye fake boutiques do this. Not much has happened but I have a feeling that once it becomes a trend they may just put standards on what those sites are allowed to show and say.
What ever happened to truth in advertising huh?
Thank you for the list of real sites. I would gladly spend more to have the real thing instead of kite material instead of cotton.
Thank you.

Michelle, I ordered 2 items from Pop and Mod (popandmod.com) after seeing them on an Instagram ad and assuming that it was safe. I’ll never do that again! I haven’t received my order and they will not respond to my emails.

I would add It’s Juliet to this list!! Complete dropshipping scam and their clothes all look like costumes and it took me 2 months and filing for fraud to get a refund!

KPS says
How did you file for fraud and ultimately get your money back? I am currently dealing with the same issue with this site.
Sam Wall says
Here’s another one to add to your list:
https://www.bohemianvintagesupply.com/
For it’s HQ, It uses an address in Texas that is a house listed for rent on zillow.
I bought a shirt, never received it, launched a complaint online, adn through the assistance of my credit card company managed to get a refund. But it was quite clear during all the back and forth with the “company representative” (who uses a gmail address) that this is a scam.
Sara Moody says
Definitely add Belinda Fashion! Complete junk and not as pictured! Can’t even figure out how to return! ;(
Jadee Lord says
Wild rose boho could be added to this list. I bought something from them that is complete trash. I’ve made so many attempts to return it because it’s not remotely close to what I ordered and nothing.
Mili says
I almost bought something from them 2min ago… thought id do a quick search on google… Was skeptical. Thanks for the review. I will definitely pass!!! What threw me off was the dress was 1 size… and their logo sucks!

Do you also have a list like this for online stores that sell jewelry? I purchased a ring from one and never received it. I emailed them several times and after responding to the first one, they stopped. After that exeprience I am leary of buying jewelry from any of the places I see advertising all these cute products.
Thomasette stickney says
You should ad mensooted to your list. They ship out of China
Lacey Muckleroy says
Thanks for doing this!
Also include:
Heylike or heyl like
-they also go by lady-coat.com and
Urban Amy’s
Jenny says
Please also include Daisy’s Closet. When I commented to another user requesting feedback on a dress I said it was shorter than it looks and then my comment was deleted and I was banned from their page before I could write a review. Dress was awful compared to the pictures
Liz says
This list for recommended brands is outright ridiculous. H&M, forever 21, ASOS?! These are the largest brands that lead the way to fast fashion! Their Recycling, donating clothes campaigns are just marketing tactics because our Consumption of clothing outweighs the damage done to the Earth. Please, these bloggers, content creators, stop with the BS lists to get clicks and views.
Shannon Johnson says
Do you know anything about the beesboutique shop.com?? I’m pretty sure I’ve been scammed. They sent order confirmation emails after I made two purchases and emails containing tracking information through China post. The tracking numbers show shipping movement through the China post link. I just have a very bad feeling ☹️. I’d appreciate any information you might have on this site. Much appreciated!

Add Barclient to your list. It’s been a month and I still don’t have my order. Took over a week to get a response from customer service. My item is somewhere in California and they can’t tell me when it will actually arrive.
Katayia Washington says
Please include knowfashionstyle.com, they have low price clothing, but shipping costs is over 50 dollars, they refuse to give refunds for items not received, also customer service does not help you at all.

Please add Nora Clark Clothing to this list.
Sarah says
Thank you for putting this list together it is very helpful. Please add designerbelleluxry to the list. They are on Instagram. They are based out of Vancouver and seem legit. The owner Aman contacts you via WhatsApp (even sends voice notes!). She will take your money and send you products that aren’t even remotely close to what you had ordered( multiple items were ordered). She will take your money and it is not cheap. Later she will not even apologize or take any sort of accountability. You will be ghosted. What a nightmare! I am disgusted that people can be this dishonest and scam people for their money. Buyer BE AWARE. I feel so dumb!
Kara K says
Urbanstormsboutique is another one to add to the list. Refusing to cancel an order after not providing the expediated shipping. Shipped it anyways 20 days later and refused refund after return of package.

I’m so glad I found this list! As a trans woman, diving into my rebirth is a challenge in a lot of ways, and finding quality, stylish clothes is one of them. I’m wary of so many sites, so this will be a big help!
Also, I think I found another sketchy one: https://www.voeyyestore.com/
Joyce F. says
I’ve checked out the stores you say are safe and good to buy from, and the clothes are ugly. They don’t look anything like the cool looking clothes on the bogus sites you say not to buy from. What sites are they getting these great looking clothes from? I’m so tired of the ugly clothes they they sell here at department stores etc. In the past, I always shopped at boutiques that had some really cool stuff. But now I need to shop on line. If they are taking the pictures of the clothes they advertise from expensive genuine American stores, what stores are they? Definitely not the ones you’ve listed to trust. What gives?
Suzanne McGraw says
Please add Taylor Beloved. China based. Complete nightmare!

Hlelu, Light in the Box and Soo Linen Co., seem to be linked. Some things are fine, then you get something ghastly. Return systems are useless. I have had a suggestion to give garment to a friend, without any compensation! Only hope is PayPal compensation.
Anastasia R Powell says
Would recommend adding Trendy and Unique to that list! Perhaps not a scam, but in the realm of online shopping, returns should be possible. And that was not my experience! It is a Chinese-based company that offers no shipping label, making it very impractical to personally ship overseas.

kiwiberryprincess scammed me.

That’s terrible. My friend ever experienced such scam, she never received her order. And they blocked her after she transferred the money. Bad!

Have you heard anything about LuveStyle from the United Kingdom?
Guest says
Here is one complaint:
I ordered a dress for about $50 online with the company “Luvestyle” on the 5th of April. I was told that it would be about 10 days for my package to arrive. It was the 9th of April when I started emailing the company because I had not received any further shipping information. I was given a link from a tracking site I did not recognize, and a tracking number that was different from the initial one. I clicked on the link anyway and checked the tracking number, it said that it was in California on the 9th of April. I gave it a few days and checked the link again and I was still in California since the 9th of April.
I emailed the company and we had emailed each other back-and-forth multiple times. They told me that they do not have any extra shipping information and that they could not give me an estimated arrival date and that they would be in contact with the shipping company. A few more days passed and still no information or shipping update. I noticed in the email, their English was a little off, so I did some digging on the website. According to some pages on Google they have been known to do this in the past, but their website was still open and I did not do this research before purchasing, which was my mistake, but their website should not be up. I tried to log into my account on the website today on Friday April 24th and it says that my email address is invalid as if my profile was deleted even though the correct email address was given in the sign in box. I have requested a refund but I feel like I will never hear from them.
Agnes says
This is an awesome post, people really needed to know this. I have often wondered about some of those online nothing stores.
Michele says
Thank you, Agnes! Many of them look legit because they steal pictures from other reputable boutiques!

Geez it seems like everything’s a scam these days! Thanks for sharing this list, it’s very helpful!

Wow! Those shipped products are not even close to the products they are picturing. I shopped from one of those stores before and I bought a purse. The quality was terrible but it did look like the photo so I just never shopped there again.
Michele says
I’ve ordered from a few of them and although they were terrible quality, I ended up keeping them because I didn’t want to shell out shipping costs!
Michele says
Anytime – and thank you!
Trecee says
This is such a helpful post! I think that people get sucked in by low prices and order without reading reviews. There are so many affordable legit websites that it doesnt make sense to purchase cheap knockoff in my opinion
Michele says
Thank you, Trecee!

Brilliant post! I must admit I had a good laugh at the photos of what these women ordered versus what they received… What a rip off!
Michele says
Thanks, Katie! The pictures did make me chuckle!

You should add Chicnico to the list. I’m am so disappointed in them and myself for not researching reviews before buying 🙁
Michele says
Oh no! Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with them. I’m going to be updating this list sometime in the near future, and I will most certainly add Chicnico to it.
Erica says
Does anyone know what store Rotita steals pictures from? I love all those clothes but I don’t know the real store.
Michele says
Erica,
If you save the image to your computer and do a Google Image search, you may be able to figure out it’s original source. Best of luck!
Becky says
I did that with Modlily and nothing came up from the image google search except for the clothes on the Modlily site, so frustrating.
Gen says
Where you able to find out where the real clothes are from in the pictures? I have been doing google searches and all that comes up are the same scamming websites.
Rachel says
Same issue! I want to find the legitimate source for these clothing items so I CAN buy them.
Dannial says
Stay away from Fairy Season’s as well!! Horrible quality and no refunds allowed…I found out AFTER I purchased that my order was being shipped from somewhere in China…HORRIBLE QUALITY!!! I will stick to local boutiques…ones I can try on items and appreciate the quality.
Michele says
Dannial,
I’m sorry you had a bad experience with that company – I’ve added them to the list! I always try to shop local whenever I can!
Ila Marlena says
Is zorentina.com a scam site, I love a necklace on that site but Leary about purchasing from there.
Thank you

Seems like they are. Lots of comments on their page about people never receiving an item they ordered and no communication from them. My daughter ordered some eyeshadow from them a couple weeks ago and still has not received item. They stopped responding to her emails as well. Seems like they delete negative comments too.
Janette C. says
I had to open a paypal dispite against them and a BBB complaint. Ordered on 12/13/17 and by 1/2/18 had three emails and one Facebook message ignored. I took to their photos and videos and commented to others about what had happened. Saw a ton of messages saying the same. Came back a few hours later to see ALL of our comments deleted and I was BLOCKED from commenting or messaging their Facebook! They also run two other businesses with the same address and telephone number on the BBB website that have 16 complaints against them between TWO of the THREE.
Stay far far away from this one.
Angel Kozlowski says
I don’t know if they sell clothes but Krafty chix sells accessories and they are horrible! I bought 2 necklaces back in January and have received nothing from them. Their reviews are all bad. Wish I had done my homework before ordering from them.
Michele says
Angel,
Sorry to hear about your negative experience with them! Thanks for the heads up!
Morgan says
Have you ever shopped from Savedbythedress.com? I found the exact same dress on their website as advertised by Sophieandtrey.com. I really don’t want to get scammed but I’m not sure what to trust.
Michele says
Morgan,
I have not shopped there personally, but they look reputable and seem to have quite a few good reviews online! It’s possible that they bought the same dress at a wholesaler.
Chelsea says
I have ordered from them! Definitely trustworthy in my opinion. The dress I originally ordered didn’t fit me well and I had passed the return by date. They allowed an exception and gave me store credit when I returned it. I ordered some cute pants afterwards with that money and I love them!
Sam says
Thank you SO much for this post!!
My mom nearly ordered from ModLilly tonight, but luckily she texted me before she ordered, just to show me the cute swim suit she’d found. The site name sounded so familiar, and after consulting your list again, I knew why.
This is a really great thing you’re doing for people!
Hannah says
Hi. Do u know if lilygal is a scam?
Michele says
Hi Hannah,
I’ve never ordered from them personally so I can’t be sure, but judging by the amount of bad reviews they’ve received online, I’d definitely be careful shopping with them!
Cheryl Cunningham says
I would suggest staying away from ANYTHING with the words lily, rose, or gal in the word. They are probably all the same people just changing the name because of all the negativity surrounding their CHEAP stuff.
Linda Reynolds says
LOTS of the Chinese sites have the same clothes and pics and go by different names…in fact at lease a half dozen currently. It is too bad, some of the designs are really cute.

I don`t agree about DressLily.com. Always order with them. Never had any problems. Once an item wasn`t the size i`ordered but they told me to give it away instead of returning it and i got my money back.
Great services and they reply fast when i have a question.
Tehy dont deserve to be on this list.
Michele says
Hi,
DressLily was actually one of the first stores on this list I placed an order at and had a negative experience with. There was zero communication in regards to shipping and tracking, the clothes took 3+ weeks to arrive, and when I finally got them, they were extremely low-quality and were big enough to fit a toddler, despite me following the size charts. While it’s possible they’ve improved their quality and customer service in the two years since I ordered, I stand by my original opinion.
Janice says
What about the site Smile I saw on Instagram? Supposed to be made-to-order formal dresses for around 159$
Cheryl Cunningham says
I disagree. The quality of their clothing is horrible and looks NOTHING like the pictures.

I placed an order with TDR Boutique 56 days ago, and they have not fulfilled it. We have emailed back and forth, they seem nice, but still no dress. I am beyond frustrated.

Lucy says
Hey!
My names Lucy, I’m from TDR Boutique, and we’re so sorry to hear you’ve had this experience with us.
We’ve had a nightmare scenario due to the coronavirus issue, and due to the nature of our products being event based, we’ve been hit quite hard. During this time we were fairly disorganised, and we’re so sorry if this has affected your order.
If you contact us support@thedressrailboutique.com with the title “FAO Lucy – Order Issues” along with your order number, I will be more than happy to rectify this issue for you, and if we have made a mistake we’ll be happy to compensate for any problems. If you have got to the point where you have sought help from other websites, we feel you would be more than deserving of compensation due to our mistakes.
Looking forward to rectifying this soon.
Kind regards, and stay safe everyone!

Lukalulu needs to be added here. Absolutely disgusting . At least most of them send you the products you ordered they haven’t even done that. Please add they should be at the top of do not order list.
Cheryl Cunningham says
Please add Chicmolly to your list. Horrible wait times from China and products arrive smelly and too small. Can’t contact anyone as numbers are out of service.
Michele says
Hi Cheryl,
I’ve had a couple of people share their negative experiences of this store with me, so I’ve added them to the list. Thanks for sharing!
Marysia says
I ordered from them girl, don’t ever waste your time and money on them. Their products came from China and it takes a month before you received them. Also the quality of the products are terrible. The worst dress and jumpsuit I’ve ever seen. Typical Chinese product that you don’t even want to wear. And if you complain they would stop responding to your emails. Sucks!
Kerri says
You should also add Tulle and Chantilly to this list. They advertise and sell bridesmaid dresses and they look absolutely gorgeous online and are not cheap. Then they come looking nothing like the photos and refuse to refund and take the dresses back. It was a nightmare and we lost a huge chunk of our wedding budget on those dresses.
Marie King says
Anything on Pink Classy? I want to order from them but very skeptical
Michele says
Hi Marie,
I took a quick glance at their website and noticed on their ‘Contact Us’ page they have an address listed out of China. That being said, I have never personally shopped with them, so I can’t vouch for the quality of their products.
Christie says
I ordered from pink classy over a week ago and it still shows processing. I’ll stick to fashion nova from now on.

What about pink classy?

Thanks so much for your fabulous, helpful article. Please add AveryCouture to the list of online clothing scammers. They pretend to be based in British Columbia; I’m pretty sure they’re not. AveryCouture is one of those companies that takes your money but doesn’t send anything. Meanwhile, when you check your order status, they tell you that the order is still “processing.” Not! I opened a fraud investigation with my credit card issuer last night.
Sara says
I agree, but if you look at some of when the top designer brands like Free People and clothing companies like LuLu’s, most of their items are made in China. The difference is, is who they are getting the clothes manufactured from and it is usually higher quality material and more expensive for the buyer which is why it is more expensive for the customer. I myself have a boutique and I have ordered some stuff and the quality was horrible! I didn’t order from China but I ordered from distributors. Luckily I live in LA and can go to the stores and feel the quality before buying in large amounts.
LoriF says
I have to say, this made me laugh. I purchased clothing for a major Canadian retailer for quite a number of years. One of our mandates was to purchase from Canadian manufacturers, but in fact that was almost impossible, as there are very few…so, of course, the remainder went to China. I purchased from distributors also~and many of our things were “made-to-order” ie, I specified fabrics, colours, and exact sizing. I was always almost shocked if the goods came back to my specifications!…and sometimes, those goods were shipped direct to stores. I learned very quickly to visit several of the stores in the city where our head office was located, to see what was actually shipped to the stores, rather than what the sample made for me looked like. In many cases, they were nothing alike. Obviously, when that happened, that was the last order to that distributor~but in the meantime, we experienced the same issues you are all having. It’s a toughie!!
Natalie says
Know anything about modmiss?
Emme says
Im waiting to hear about them as well, i just ordered boots and i am afraid they wont get to me now.
Wina Sturgeon says
Modmiss is a total scam site! They advertise what they are selling with photos STOLEN FROM U.S. AND EUROPEAN DESIGNERS AND STORES. They do not actually HAVE any of the products shown on their website. You will get poorly made cheap imitations—that is, if you are lucky enough to get anything at all. Stay away!

Add My Complete Boutique @ https://my-complete-boutique.myshopify.com/
They advertise on facebook that there is a clearance where you only pay for shipping. I ordered 6 items and was charged $18 for shipping but after I got no confirmation email I did a little more research and found this hidden on their page “Several items may be added to cart upon checkout. At which time, one item will be selected at random and shipped. Each customer will only receive one item that was selected.”
Do you know of any way to report these scam companies and try to get money refunded? Thank you!!
Michele says
Hi Elisabeth,
Thanks for sharing your experience! Since this particular store appears to be hosted by Shopify, I would recommend reaching out to them to see if you might be able to get your money back and report the boutique for their shady business practices.
Gillian Miranda says
Hi Ms Elizabeth, where did you found that reviews? I am trying to search but I cant find anything. I also purchase on that site and I want to cancel but Its say it cannot. Can i contact the shopify?

Hi Gillian,

Last week I saw an ad in Facebook for Goyard bags sold by The LA Boutique; website: https://boutiqueluxla.com/. Searched online; could not find any reviews; read their website several times; all looked good and placed my order. I immediately received a confirmation email from theparisboutiqueonline.com and a day later another email “item has been shipped” with a tracking number from CHINA! I believe I’ve been scammed! Why is Facebook allowing advertisements from scam merchants!?!
T. says
My guess? Facebook is allowing this because they are scraping in the ad money from about 20 scam sites all owned by the same people. The parent company that owns these sites is in China and is worth hundreds of millions. They are invested in the market and sell shares for their parent company ( removed a few degrees from these contracted scam clothing sites). It’s a very big fraud.
carolyn colacicco says
Hi Teresa-
I just orfeded a bag too from the LA Boutique and realized it’s a scam! Did you ever receive the bag? I’m worried since I entered my credit card information, it could be used elsewhere.
Andreea says
Someine manage to take the money back from them?I hope i do😢8
Jennifer Alvarado says
Has anyone ordered from Nossa-Vida?
Lauren says
I have and still haven’t received my package, the tracking site was sketchy too. Not sure what to do!!
Lene Flakk says
Hi there! Thanks for the great list. Just order from OFLIKE,and find out that they steal our money and i will never get my order, buhuuuuu😩Thiefs and fake. They have many simular sites popping up on IG with different names, but same clohtes….Stay away!!
You can also put YOINS on your list😕
Love from Norway❤
M Ilic says
Stay away from writerdiaries.com! They claim to sell designer clothes at lower (not cheap!) prices. I ordered a Pucci bikini and after several weeks received a completely different item, wrong color, size, model, and no tag – not just designer, but without any tag. I wanted to return it and asked for my money back and here’s what I received:
“Hello,
As a sincere supplier, we kindly suggest you keep the goods (you received) and don’t send them back. Due to returning the items will cost you so much, including the shipping fee, high tariff and other fees. “
Melissa says
Hi any information about zahara swim wear? They contacted me on instagram.
Ashley says
I’ve ordered from them; they are legit!
Veronica says
I got the same offer to model and I haven’t responded yet.
AC says
Hey hey, anyone kniws anything about http://www.chicboho.com? Their stuff are so gorgeous but I just wanna make sure it’s legit before I buy! Thanks!
Michele says
I have never shopped there personally, but I did a quick Google Image Search on a couple of their photos, and found identical photos at https://www.oshoplive.com. You can find some (not-so-great) reviews on OShopLive here: https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/oshoplive.com.
AC says
Hey Michele, Thanks! Oh man, you are right. They really are the same pics. Now I am so torn cos there are also good reviews about OShopLive. Chicboho is relatively new so I can’t seem to find any reviews on them. 🙁
AC says
I also realised, the layout/promo code and some other stuff from the 2 websites are almost exactly the same. I wonder if they could be started by the same person. Hmm.
T. says
Thank you for putting this together. Add 2sbest and ChicBoho. I’ve been trying to warn people. I was scammed myself. The sites have blocked me from commenting to warn people. The parent company that owns these is worth hundreds of millions. clearly FB and sites that run their ads are also capitalizing on their ads, even when they get reports of fraud or scams. A class action lawsuit would be a good means of remuneration, I’ve seen hundreds if not thousands of the same issues reported
Ann says
Thanks for doing this. Big help! One suggestion (though not sure others would find it helpful) would to list the sites in alphabetical order…just a little thing.
Again, thanks so much, you saved me several headaches and likely many dollars!
Michele says
Ann,
Thanks for the suggestion! I’m going to work on alphabetizing this list over the weekend so it’s easier to find certain names!
Lidia says
I think its great that you made this to help others not to be scammed. I might want to add that the although the idea was great i think in the list of boutiques that are reliable i think it qould be great to add other stores that actually carry clothing similiar to what is sold on the other websites so it is like a nicer alternatives and not just a list your personal favorites. I do know the other websites have more variety but i think it could be helpful to find similiar items in the websites listed.
Cheryl says
I don’t know if you have since looked at Hello Cloth, but I stupidly fell for their rediculously low prices, ignoring a “hello” from from my typically suspicious mind. Anyway I got burned. It took over a month to receive the merchandise which was obviously an attempt at copying the catalog item from another shop. One dress I received was made from cheap material and it looked like a child’s dress. It was a size “large”. One garment had short instead of long sleeves and was yellow instead of white. And there is a dress that has never arrived. They said it was a “hot” seller. Indeed. Hope this helps!
Lenbear says
There’s several pictures of very pretty white skinned Asian women heavily advertised on Pinterest about bras. The bras look very pretty on them, some lacy and they only sell for 12-15 dollars apiece. I ordered large because i’m 36C, they came 2 weeks later from California( originally from China). They were ridiculously sized. The circumference was ok, size 36 with probably A cup. I could never wear them. I could not reach anyone. Buyers beware!!!
Courtney says
I totally agree about NossaVida. STAY AWAY!
Nicolette says
Does anyone know anything about jrsquaredshop? I’ve seen good reviews on other websites, but was wondering if anyone had some feedback?
Jo says
Hi
Does anyone have any information about Orsle?
Michele says
Jo,
I’ve just added them to my list. I would not shop there – they have stolen many photos from bloggers and other websites!
Susan Montgomery says
Ordered from ChicMolly 7/4/18 and . Thanks for the site. My bad for not checking reviews. The site came up on Facebook. They have been notified.
Susan Montgomery says
and…. is what previous post was supposed to say. 😕
Allison says
Does anyone have any feedback on shoppinknow.com? I am interested in a few things from them, but I am leary :/ Thanks in advance!!
Amy Cornell says
Is there any way to get Facebook to take these down? I want to report Chicmolly. I had no idea they were scammers. This post has been up since 2017 so I feel like someone should get FB to block them.
natalie nester says

Hi Michelle, thank you for that list of shops. these 3 stites have the same page contact
https://www.chicboho.com/pages/contact-us
https://www.uoozee.com/pages/contact-us
https://www.oshoplive.com/pages/contact-us
chicboho.com put pictures from big brands and send you cheap chinese quality copies , no answer when you want to return i believe the 3 are the same scamer
Michele says
Sarah,
Great observation! It does appear that these three stores are owned by the same person or people.
Michele says
Rosalie,
Thanks for sharing your experience. With that being said, I will ask that you please not spam my comment section. I just deleted 15 comments from you that were exactly the same, verbatim. I always welcome comments that add to the discussion, but I will not approve identical comments.

Hello,
I just came across your site and read through your list of DO NOTs but did see Depway clothing? Maybe it’s a newer site. I’ve read mixed reviews and wondered if you have had any experiences with them?
Michele says
Robyn,
They have stolen many photos from bloggers & have some pretty terrible reviews!
Cathy Berglund says
Hello! This is such an awesome informative site, thank you! What do you know about Nadine West? I didn’t find any info on that on line boutique. Are there NO reputable online boutiques that offer customized stylized clothing? I SO hate shopping for clothes, simply detest it, so seldom to it so would be so nice to utilize on on line clothing service such as Nadine West, if actually reputable. Thanks very much.
Michele says
Cathy,
According to this review: https://www.thefrugalgirl.com/2018/04/nadine-west-like-stitch-fix-but-cheaper/, Nadine West seems like it’s the real deal! I would also recommend Stitch Fix for personalized clothing – I’ve tried (and LOVED) this service in the past!
Michele says
Although upon further inspection, they have some not-so-great reviews: https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/austin/profile/online-retailer/nadine-west-0825-1000132634/complaints.
If you do decide to try it out, please report back to let us know how it goes!

Wish I would have read this before I ordered from Orsle!! I ordered 2 swimsuits & a dress. I received a mismatched suit, a terrible stretched out dress with an oil stain/water mark on the front and another suit that looked like a child cut the scallops! I used Pay Pal and after a rabbit trail of correspondences (including Pay Pal) they are now saying I should pay to ship the items back.
Michele says
Sorry to hear that! 🙁
Jsp says
Same, I’ve received a comment today from them!
The account who posts the comment doesn’t look legit at all, looked like they’ve searched google for pictures to upload..
Macy says
I have been asked to be a brand ambassador for them as well. Anyone know if it’s legit?
Natassja says
me too! I messaged them and asked if they would upload my picture to their website once I bought something and did the whole Shabang and totally ignored my Q, this made me a little skeptical. If anyone knows, lmk! I’d like to make money being an ambassador I just don’t want to gt scammed lol. @Natssisl is my IG.
Victoria says
Same with me today! They asked me to fill out a small form but had my address in it so I looked it up and found this page.. any of you try it out?
Joyce kim says
Please include “Modmiss” Scam website warning!!!
I ordered 19 women’s clothings and only 4 has tags that shows the materials. Compare to the website item material description, none of them was correctly advertised. All different materials, 15 items has no material tags as well as no wash instructions, no name either. No refund, not even prepaid return label.
liz says
Giant red flag: the exact same picture of every dress in different colorways, especially if the shadows turned a weird color or have weird pixels around the edge. Either they didn’t have other colors to photograph or were too cheap to bother doing a good job of changing the color.
Larisa says
Are you familiar with KayaBop? Wondering if it is a scam before I order?
Michele says
Hi Larisa,
I would not order from them, as they have stolen many pictures – one of a girl that I actually know personally!
Angie says
I have 162.00 in a cart right now waiting to go on KayaBop. So happy I saw this comment. Please add to your above list. Adorable clothing… sucks you in. Thanks much!

Thank you!

Hi Ladies
Please add Poplucy to the list of scams.. Also Youth kiss.
Very sad that that people do this.
They need to refresh their minds on the statement,
DO unto others as you would have done unto yourself.
Jacqueline says
This is amazing. Thank you so much for the good info. I saw all these beautiful sweaters on pinterest from one of the companies you have listed and i’m so glad I stumbled on your article. HUGE THANKS!!
Niqui says
Just got scammed by a ad claiming to be boutique blvd. thank god it was only $13.
Michele says
You are very welcome! 🙂
Ana Palma says
This is a great list and thank you for taking the time to do it. Please add to your list of super bad online stores to buy from: AMIClub Wear. Not only their clothes are terrible, from fabric, to the sizes but their return policy sucks. You don’t get your money back only store credit which is really bad because who wants to buy their shitty cloth after knowing they stink. Defineately do not buy from here. Now a good store to add to your list of GOOD is Venus. Great return policy and quality and styles of cloth is very good.
Karen says
“They” reached out to me as well via IG. Their opening line “Hi Honey” sounds like complete foo-foo B.S. Then I checked out their merchandise! So expensive for what I’m sure is not “high quality” as they claim. I’m not falling for it!
Kelly says
LOLLL exactly my thought. They referred to me as ‘honey’ twice in the matter of two message exchanges. That alone tells me that they’re not a professional company that I’d ever work with. I didn’t even make it as far as checking their website.
June Ryan says
Thank you SO MUCH for putting this list together. Is popmira a legit place to shop?
Michele says
You’re very welcome! According to the comments on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/popmirapop/, I would not buy from them.
Arielle says
Hi do anyone know if Owily.com is a scam?

You’re welcome! And I checked out their website – looks very suspicious!

Add Boutique Boulevard to the do not shop list it is a scam the store does not exist I got scammed out of $13.67 for shipping all clothes were free I should have known better.
Michele says
Hi Terah,
Do you have a link to this store?
Samantha L Koehler says
I also ordered from this store. I was wondering if it was going to be delivered soon. So, I looked up my email about my orders. The link to the order and the link to the store both bring me to an error page that says, “This shop is unavailable”.
Melissa says
I ordered from a company called Forge (not Forged, which seems to be a US company owned by veterans). Does anyone know anything about Forge, hoping they’re just slow not a scam but it’s been 3 weeks and the link they sent to track my package says the shipping label still hasn’t even been created. ☹️ Hoping I’m just being paranoid! Thanks for this great list, I bet you’ve saved a LOT of people a TON of money!!
Linda Smee Jackson says
I think you could include Chichola in that list, I had a terrible experience with them, they clearly take the order then sorce the products. I was able to stop PayPal paying them but it was a HUGE fuss.
Michele says
Linda,
Thanks for sharing, and sorry you had such a bad experience with them!
Carol McBroom says
i just had ChicKeep come up on my feed. Do you know anything about them?
Michele says
I do not! However, at first glance, I noticed that the majority of their model photos can be found on multiple websites.
dragonfly says
I ordered from ChicKeep three weeks ago I haven’t received the pair of shoes I ordered. They do have a website. But I am going to call PayPal and request a refund. Seems like anything that starts with Chic stay away from!
Jill Christensen says
Wow this list is a potential life saver! So grateful I stumbled across it while trying to research ChicReal. Only thing that came up was Facebook and it doesn’t tell you a stinking thing regarding about pertinent information about this company such as location. Are you familiar with this site by any chance?
Thanks so much for this list, what a great service you are providing everyone who like to shop online… And don’t we all?
Michele says
Hi Jill,
You’re very welcome! I’m not familiar with them! Do you have a link?
Marsha says
Is there a way to find where the product comes from of the pictures they steel?? I love a pair of boots fro, Mod Miss.
Laura says
I started getting bunches of ads from something called Berrylook, which, on their website, had photos of tons of clothing, shoes and accessories at fairly crazy-inexpensive prices.
Fortunately, all I wasted was too much time, over a couple of days, choosing a number of items, filling a cart, and even making an account with them (also fortunately, not with credit card info). The photos were so pretty (if some of the styles rather over-the-top). Of course, I did notice that all the “customer reviews” on their site had five out of five stars, which seemed unlikely, but I even allowed my concerns about quality to be allayed by some of the phrases in those reviews, along the lines of “I was concerned about quality, at these low prices, but the fabric felt wonderful, and the fit was perfect! I get so many compliments on this dress!” Thank goodness I researched them online a bit, before actually spending or ordering anything. Can’t believe it didn’t occur to me that it’s awfully easy to put up pretty pictures and fake reviews.
Since I started rejecting all their ads, and blocked them from my email, other such organizations have been coming up, such as Rotita, which is what led me here. I feel so silly to have been taken in, though thankful that I checked it out before actually spending. Thanks for this list, and for getting the word out.
Dorothy says
Berrylook is a scam .You do receive items, material is different, sizing is ridiculously small, it took 8 weeks to get items. Shirts that were shown to button came with no buttons or buttonholes.
Vera says
Has anybody ordered from Sylishmolly? I just ordered from them, but couldn’t find anything negative on them.
Donna says
Could you tell me about Sherop Shop, please? Thank you!
Michele says
Donna,
I would stay away from them, as they’ve stolen many photos. This “maxi dress” is actually a separate top and skirt that was posted by a blogger several years ago: https://www.sherop.com/collections/all/products/9d5a14c35bc2?lshst=collection. Here’s where they stole the photo from: http://laceandlocks.com/2015/10/15/pink-maxi-skirt/

This is great; definitely will be bookmarking this site for future reference! Please please please add Ivy Wild Boutique (or Ivywild boutique) to this list—I presume someone already commented that because I got here by searching for a place to leave them a bad review but was confused to not see them on your list above. I’ve ordered from Yoins before and was so happy to see them on your list because they are a scam site and total garbage. I vowed upon receiving their totally fake crap last year to do better research and never ever order from places selling from China again. Well Ivy Wild Boutique got me good last week. Their photos are so cute and they have a “mailing address” in Colorado…I wasn’t paying close attention…Placed and order and after over a week of not receiving anything thought hm that’s weird and went to track the package….saw it barely had shipped over a week later…from CHINA! I was so disappointed. The two bracelets I got are actually cute but they’re chinsey and on those stretchy strings so we’ll see how quickly they break… the earrings I bought are really the bad ones. They are that knockoff, CHINSEY Chinese made version of a photo that is NOT theirs that they’ve displayed online. Terribly disappointed STAY FAR AWAY FROM IVYWILD BOUTIQUE ladies!!!
Ruby says
I saw this on an Instagram ad and saw the CO address too thinking that the products were shipping from there as well. I used PayPal because I was unsure about using my cc info directly. I went back and read their FAQs and it did detail their policies regarding shipping. Had I known they were shipping from outside the US, I probably wouldn’t have ordered anything. I read on the FAQs that you can’t cancel an order unless it is within one hour of purchase. It didn’t sound like their refund policy was too great, etc. Probably not the best in terms of store policies. I’m hoping the products I ordered are at least comparable to the items as pictured. I’ll post updates.
Kelly Patton-Curley says
I placed an order on 9/21/2019, they charged my card the same day. Haven’t heard a word from them since. No answer to 10+ emails. Phone number goes straight to voice mail. Even left messages on their Facebook page. DO NOT order from them!
Bee Yiu says
please also add Uoozee
they Sell Taobao quality stuff charge US price.
i bought a shirt on the model shows three-quarter sleeve, what i received is a totally difference Short Sleeve Shirt
Kate says
Please also add Luvyle to the list. They are posting pics to entice you to buy and then you don’t get any thing. Lose to the pic. It’s so frustrating
Irene Franchi says
Thank you for this article, I bought about 9 items from Cathy buy after 20 days only received two items out of 9, very poor quality.
However, I received a poorly written email stating, please wait a bit longer still trying to put order together, wait another 11 days. I am so angry with myself for getting conned
Chris says
Please add Lookdora to your list. I ordered a jacket Sept. 17th 2018. They took my money and I haven’t received anything . Now they say that they sent me a refund to a bank I’m no longer with. This is the first time and ladt time I will get scammed. SHAME ON THEM.

Anyone heard of mooky boutique? It’s listed as if they have a store in Boca Raton but it looks like item is coming from China. Cant find any good or bad reviews for them

Anavi988 says
I want to know about SALETOLADY also because for me photos don’t look stolen, they have many different ones of a product, different models with their face showing. I find their clothes gorgeous but I wouldn’t dare ordering after seeing so many scams and without finding any experience comments on the internet.
Anavi988 says
Actually right after leaving my comment here i went to their instagram page and saw many comments like “it’s a fraud” and “give me back my $” and “they will never send you clothes they will just steal your money” so I guess it’s a fraud.. Also when I did little more looking at the website I saw some coats that are worn by gigi hadid on the photo which is stolen photo from the internet for sure. Too bad I loved some of their clothes 🙁
Zeinabelz says
I actually received their clothes after 2 months but most of them were too small and damaged. I emailed them already I will wait and see
Please add Julsia.com to the list! They stole money from me and I never received their stuff

What should I do? Please post also.

Hi, I have seen these really cute tall green boots advertised through some of these scam sites and I would be extremely grateful if someone could tell me where they stole the images from so I could purchase the real deal. Here is a link to them. Thanks! https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32788049322.html?trace=wwwdetail2mobilesitedetail&productId=32788049322&productSubject=Winter-2017-new-brand-design-women-s-fashion-high-quality-army-green-brown-patchwork-flat-over
Michele says
Hi Risha,
You can try performing a Google search for the keywords listed in the photo, but I wouldn’t count on being able to find that exact pair of boots. If the photos were stolen, it’s likely that the actual boots are no longer being sold online.
Carolyn says
Please add DressWe to the list. They top the list on scammers! It took me 3 months of fighting with PayPal to get my money back. Good thing I only communicated by email and I kept over 20 emails from them. I returned a dress to a California address they provided and they told PayPal I was instructed to send it back to China. They’d already acknowledged receipt of the dress in an email plus I had it sent back registered! I paid $82 for the dress and they offered me $20 back. That didn’t happen either. They will try and force you to close the open dispute with PayPal with a promised to return your money when it is closed. Don’t ever close a dispute until your money is refunded. Lastly, the fight is real with PayPal too. They would denie my claim and I’d call and bless them out and reopen it. I bet I talked to at least 10 people before it was resolved. They don’t read they documentation until you press them.
Ana says
Dear Michelle
Do you know where can I find the coats from Saletolady, I really like them but unfortunately I cannot find in any legit online shop.

Please add “Hansas designer boutique” to this list.

Oh, and add bonboho to your list?

Please add Myladystar to your list. Can’t believe i fell for it. 🙁
Fisayo says
Please add Oh Polly to your DO NOT BUY list.
Their customer service quality has dropped significantly with thousands of customers(myself included) having issues with their orders and Oh Polly not properly resolving them; leaving many customers’ questions unanswered and with no packages.
Susan Gillet says
You don’t have a review for Stylish Molly so here it is
I just received 5 items from them that I ordered. and was billed for 2months ago. When they arrived I decided I might as well shredded a $100.00 bill. Awful quality and they look nothing like pictures. Jacket looked like it was my first sewing project in 7th grade home economics. It even had a hole in middle of fabric. Sleeves were short. The sweater would have fit a toddler and another knitting project by a first timer. 2 items same size were huge. They all went into the garbage as I would have been embarrassed to donate to the Good Will.
Lesson learned.
Kevin says
Please add Teen Hearts to list. Ordered backpack for my child in August and never received it. Same thing happened to a classmate of hers. Checked BBB rating after my issues and they do not have one and would not respond to my BBB complaint.
Lisa says
Please add Boho Factory to the list.
I made the mistake of buying from there. Products took forever and were shipped separately. Quality was horrendous and the dresses didn’t represent what was in the photos.
There is only an email for support and they either don’t reply or take you round in circles asking the same questions over and over again. I’ve since read reviews of many other customers making the same mistake buying from them.
Jadwiga says
Oh I just posted comment about them. Same here! Stay away from them!
Ash says
Has anyone purchased anything from lemonApparel.com?
Mandy Lopata says
I have! I placed an order on December 17th and still did not receive it…. ridiculous.
Rosie says
Yep….on 23rd November and still no sign. Website now says it doesn’t exist… pretty sure those leggings aren’t ever going to appear!
Sam says
same. ordered dec 17th…. emailed the email to touch base on arrival and they said high volume of orders would make them send later than usual. Now it is well into the range the should have been sent and I am disputing payment now. They are a scam.
Rickerman says
How are you disputing? because I’m in the same boat. Ordered on Nov 25th got the confirmation email and the shipment confirmation but still have not gotten anything. I would at least like my payment back.
EB says
Yes! in november and never received my item. i’m email and sent their facebook a msg and no response. i feel so cheated
Kathleen says
Also add Juli Chic and Jelly Nova, they are the same company and the product is terrible and they won’t take it back. Sadly I used PayPal and they won’t help either
JLM P. says
I’m in the process right now of likely losing $91 to Juli Chic. The last email from them, after they offered me 10% cash back of my item purchase if I don’t return it (I said no so they offered me 15% back, hahaha)…they finally gave me an address in China to mail my fake boots and horrible quality shirt (both too small) and asked me to lie about the price so the tariff will be lower! I got sucked in by an ad on Pinterest! They should not be allowed to advertise there.
Kathleen C Engel says
I ordered a pair of boots and beforehand read the return policy, which simply said you needed to get a return authorization. I waited two months for the boots to arrive. I didn’t like them so initiated a return and was told that I would need to ship the boots to China and likely pay customs. The agent suggested that instead of returning the boots, I could accept a $5 cash refund. Nothing in the policies said that the boots would have to be returned to China and everything about the website gave the appearance it was a US company. I did some research and found 100s of complaints about the company. It is noteworthy that on the customs form on the shipment to me, the boots were valued at $4.00.
Andrea Morgan says
Oh, no. I have never received the large tote bag I ordered from Juli Chic on Jan.13, 2019. I sent their customer service dept. a message today, but now am reading all these comments. I am not hopeful!

The lemon apparel is a joke to minutes after buying from their website my bank called me with 2 foreign transactions one was the product I bought and the other was someone else using my card information!!
Scarlett says
oh no! how much money did the person spend?
Dionne LaPlante says
Uh, Oh. I also ordered from them. This was back in November and I still haven’t received the items. I reported it to my bank but now I wonder if I need to have my account closed. How long ago was this?
JLM P. says
Please add Juli Chic to your list. Thanks. Wish this type of list was sanctioned and advertised by our BBB, not sure why they’re not publicly involved?
I left my experience above in reply to someone in Dec ’18 that had problems with them.

Do NOT order anything from Lemon Apparel! Complete scam!!!!! Feeling like an idiot 🙁
Scarlett says
same 😕
Jadwiga says
You should add Boho-Factory to the list. They send me very poor quality dress with stain on it and I can’t get refund whatsoever from them. It has been more than a month. Its scam
Korinne Arenas says
Does anyone know anything about Ephemeral Fits??
Cayenne Sims says
I also ordered from them after they offered me a brand rep position. Did u attempt getting your money back from an order? What has your experience been like with them?
Janice Harnett says
***Ariel Avenue website***. Advertising on Facebook at the minute. I am fuming with myself. Only last night I ordered a dress for approximately $29. I was so stupid. It was late at night, the dress was same as I purchased before only a different colour so I wasn’t thinking. I always pay PayPal. In hindsight, this site had no PayPal. I paid direct credit card last night not thinking. When I checked out and card was paid it had tagged a fur coat to the order. There has been about $325 taken on my card!!!. I rang bank straight away and the money is gone. The bank had noticed the unusually large transaction to this site as got a text me asking was it me. How could I have been so stupid? I will dispute it once I’m sure it is not delivered. I never ticked the fur coat but it has me doubting myself all the same!
Has this happened to any of you? Such a large amount of money. I am not right after this. I looked at the bag my other dress came in and it was a completely different site that I had purchased it from. I never noticed. When I went back into the Ariel Avenue site there is no sign of this dress or fur coat!!! Hopefully I’ll get my money back in a couple of weeks from the bank once not delivered. Guys watch this site carefully. This is big money I’ve been scammed for!
Chelsea Sargent says
Nooo I thought something was up but stupidly didn’t check my account until I read your comment. $82 for 2 dresses came to $115 plus an international charge when the company is supposed to be in melb I thought..
Chelsea Sargent says
Update** my bank said it could be legit as the amount I thought I’d paid in AUD is the correct amount in USD but will see what happens. No reposnce to my request for delivery time or a refund
Andrea says
Dear Janice,
same happend to me. I’ve written to them but no response. I’ve called my bank and they said to wait for a few days if they will write back and if they don’t that my banck will take actions.
Maria Maia says
I got a mail from them saying they will refund me. Anyone else?
Helen says
Hi Maria Maia! How long did it take them to answer you?
Maria Maia says
Hi Helen. It took them 5 days to answer me. I got an email confirming the cancellation of the order but the money is not back to me yet. Let’s hope it will show up in my account soon. I will keep you updated.
Maria Maia says
Hei Helen.
I got my money back and I feel really relieved, but also confused. I don’t really know if they made a mistake and will refund everyone, or if my bank managed that in some way… I am really hoping it was an honest mistake or some problem with their website and will be fixed for everyone.
Helen says
Maria Maia, thank you so much for the answer! I informed my bank about the fraud and they promised to investigate the case. Hopefully I will be compensated as it is very likely a scam. Actually this blog post and all of your comments have been very helpful! I sent the print screens of the cases to the bank together with the bill Ariel sent me and the emails. I also reported Facebook about the scam page several times but strangely the page is still up and advertising on Facebook.
Lisa says
The same has just happened to me. I bought a $29 dress and they added a coat to the sale but only after I had paid for the dress. At no time did I even look at the coat they said I bought. I called my bank immediately and sure enough more than $500 has been taken from my account. I have written to Ariel asking to refund the unauthorised transaction. Now I have to raise a dispute with my bank in a couple of days. Looks like it’s another Viagogo scam… Beware ***Ariel Avenue***
Shea says
This just happened to me today. They added a coat, oommgg. This is a complete scam! Uggghh
Joanna says
I had just made the same mistake as yourself. The initial price for the dress advertised was $29.97. When check out and paid, the website added another winter jacket for $299.97 to my list which cost me a total of $320+. This website is definitely a scam. Sadly, my local bank couldn’t help to stop the transaction although i called them immediately after i saw the amount. It’s an expensive lesson. Hopefully everyone can avoid this website ARIEL AVENUE.
Sairica says
Same happened to me, ladies… I’m in Spain, where I have to make a complaint at the police station but then the bank “should” refund it. Joanna: maybe push your bank a bit? It seems so unfair you get lumbered. I’m going to do all I can to get my money back. Good luck to you all, too.
Maria Maia says
Hei girls. The store gave me my money back. Don’t give up and good luck.
Susan says
Hi Joanna,
I had the exact same experience yesterday. I bought a dress for 29.99 and when I went to check out everything was fine until the screen said thank you for your order and a fur jacket to the value of 300 was there too. I emailed the company straight away and then rang my bank. Unfortunately because I have entered my card details it is harder to get the money back the bank said and nothing they can do except contact the company for a refund which from what I have now read is useless. I’m actually sick with it. It’s definitely not money I could afford to lose.
Lisa says
Hi Janice and Chelsea – did you ever receive an email back from Ariel Avenue?
Maria Maia says
I never got an answer from them. Sent several e-mails. I hope my bank will help me.
Maria Maia says
Hei girls. Did any of you get your money back from Ariel Avenue?
Lisa says
Not yet. I just hope my bank acts quickly (as per my insistence)
Johanna says
I was just charged the same amount for the same fur coat! I feel sooo stupid now… looking at their website there’s no information whatsoever about the company. Not even a word about where they are based. My card transaction info says Miami, but I highly doubt that. But ladies, STAY AWAY from this website!!
Helen says
Oh, I see so many co-victims of Ariel Avenue here:( The exact same thing happened to me just an hour ago..I cannot blame enough myself of being so stupid:( I also wrote Ariel Avenue to cancel the order but of course no answer. My bank said that I´ll have to wait 10 days before they will take action. I added to my e-mail to Ariel that I will report all their accounts and also inform the Interpol. But I am afraid that they are ahead of us in this. What an awful scam!
Meliana says
Hi Janice,
I too got conned this morning by Ariel Avenue. Now am disputing this with my bank and forcing the bank to withhold payment. Thank you for sharing this.
Regards,
Meliana
Johanna says
I reported them to my local police in Finland but there is probably hardly anything they can do about it. Good news, however, is that my bank will refund me. Thank you all for sharing your experiences, they are a worthy piece of evidence to prove that this is indeed a scam and I did NOT order that coat.
Johanna says
I always thought that the worst case scenario is never getting the things you ordered. That way you would at least “only” lose the money you thought you could afford to spend. It never crossed my mind that some scumbags would actually charge you for something you didn’t even order. I am still shocked. This was a valuable lesson, I will never order anything again without googling the seller first.
Margarita Brida says
I just had the exactly same situation!! And you are not crazy, you did not order that stupid coat. Did you ever received the order or your money back? Please let me know.
Helen says
I replied them immediately that i do not want anymore any of these items as this is a scam and in couple of days they replied me that they cancelled the order and are refunding the money but i still haven´t got anything (usually it takes 3-4 days to transfer the money so i´ll wait couple of days more). Will keep you posted when I get it. But I advise you to certainly send them an e-mail first and maybe contact also your bank (i did).
Helen says
Today I got my money back from Ariel Avenue! So definitely let them know via e-mail that you want your purchase to be cancelled and money refunded! It will take a couple of days to solve things. Hope things will work out well for you too!
Ingrid says
Hi Helen. I am happy to hear you got your money back. I kinda think it’s the bank that manages to demand a refund. Same happened to me and as soon as the bank took actions, I got the money back.
Maria Maia says
Hei Margarita. I also got my money back. It took them 5 days to answer me and two more to give the money back. Hope you get it fixed also.
Ephraim Tlogelang says
Good day
Please validate authenticity of rubymen.com and online mens boutique.
Kim says
Please add The Love Sale (thelovesale.com)
I bought a cute top and jeans after seeing the top in a GOOGLE SEARCH!! It wasn’t even a specific item, just for “floral blouse”under shopping. Google is definitely complicit in this as they sent me their way instead of to thousands of reputable websites.
After almost 6 weeks and lots of back and forth, I received a package from China that contained two poorly made dresses!
Dionne LaPlante says
Please add Lemon Apparel to this list. I have been waiting on water bottles I ordered to arrive since November. They no longer have a working website. All links in emails sent that had previously confirmed my order no longer work. I googled them and see all kinds of info about people having the same issue, including tons of the same on the BBB website. I am working with my back to dispute the charges but fear that they have closed up shop altogether and it may be too late.
Joanne Tinsley says
Please add Pick My Boutique, items they supply are nothing like the pics they’re advertising xx
Timea Baricz says
Does anyone know if boholady.com is legit???
Britt says
WavyLifeStyleCo.com is also known as MidnightsCo. after 10 weeks of no response about my order I had to contact PayPal to dispute and refund my money.
Britt says
I’m wondering about oohcherry.com
Sarah says
Can anyone recommend a reputable site that sells clothes like Uoozee? Thank you!
Gorata says
Anyone who has some for of experience with Ariel Avenue
Lisa says
Do not touch! Read up a bit higher on this post and others have been scammed.
Johanna says
They stole over $300 from my card! Stay away from Ariel Avenue, it’s an outrageous scam!
Julie says
I felt weary of HeyJue.com and checked on reviews – nothing but a possible scam alert. Something to check out a little more.
Rebecca Jenkins says
My daughter wants to order from Take luck home. Anyone know if this is legit?
Caitlin says
Sorry that I’m late but I’d recommend to stay away! They took 2 months for the phone case I bought to get to the UK and was sent to Atwick, yet I live in West Sussex!!! I’ve requested a full refund from them as I won’t be getting that case.
Juliet Ola says
Thanks for all these reviews and the list..
I will like to ask about http://www.lightinthebox
Is it a safe place to shop
Laurie says
One thing I’ve noticed is that these illegitimate sites don’t give you the option to use PayPal…. not sure if it’s a coincidence, but I steer clear if PayPal isn’t an option.
CJ says
I am learning that now. No PayPal, No Business With Me.
Carine says
Hi, thank you for your advises. Please somethink to say about “mybesthoneyshop” ?
RAD Legend says
Mybesthoney is also a huge scam. I’ve just read up on https://www.trustpilot.com/review/mybesthoney.com
So glad I decided to research the site before buying anything from them. Definitely stay away!
SarahL says
Hi,
I really appreciate your advice and blog! I’m going to share this on FB.
Please include ‘Dark & Stylish’ on your list.
I took a chance on ordering over $100 worth of lingerie from them considering little to no reviews because the designs looked hot. However, much to my disappointment, their delivery time was slow and items were delivered at different times from the one order. The outfits were of poor and cheap quality and some of the items were not as pictured. I returned most but then couldn’t be bothered returning a few because they arrived in different times, so I had to alter (not for size but fixed pieces on them just to make them look more presentable) and to keep them. Don’t know if anyone has ordered from them…. BUT STAY AWAY!!
Eliani Berman says
Credit Card company will usually back the buyer. Sent them your complaint and request a refund. The credit card company will charge back from the seller. I’ve done it. This is the best way to hit the scammers.
Aspen says
What about sally boutique? Should it be on the list? I have been asked to be an ambassador for there clothing line but I have to buy 1 peace of clothing
Michele says
I have placed orders for several little things from AliExpress over the last 2 months using the app on my phone . Is this the same one you listed here? I’m receiving my orders- takes a while but was informed before ordering. If it’s a problematic site for most and I got lucky …. I don’t want to continue to order and risk it!!! So sad that more things than not are scams now a days. =[
Marian says
Anyone ever ordered from xoxo 5th avenue? or tried their ambassador programs?
Elizabeth says
Pass hard on them. No tracking info, no customer service and worst of all, o refunds no matter what. They take your money and run.
Andrea Morgan says
What do you know about Juli Chic? I ordered a large tote bag on January 13, 2019 and still have not received it. Just sent their customer service a message questioning this.
Laura Brewer says
There are a lot of comments, so forgive me if I missed this one:
Trust Apparel
Total scam. They say “just pay shipping in exchange for IG post credit.” That was October, 4 months ago. I never received anything and there is no contact info other than an email address that will never be answered.
Connie Jones says
CHICNICO is happy to scam you. Please be aware.
I ordered in November and received product two weeks later. ($90.00)
It was garbage so I filled out their return form and paid to return garbage the next day. ($23.00)
We are now in February with no response to my follow up emails.
Lesson learned.
amy says
Zahara swim is the biggest scam, i ordered from them 3 months ago and the customer service turned me away because they said it was delivered and it didn’t even have a tracking number `
Annika says
I ordered a ‘’MSGM Strickkleid mit Streifen’’ (or striped sweater dress in english) from KDNCOOLINGTOWER.com, a webshop in german language despite its name.
A rather unspecified order confirmation mail came from ‘’cs4’’. It contained, however, a tracking number. Payment was made to YJF Romapinec.
As if not already enough companies were involved: I got a small package from a Chen Jian, GZSWL etc, Guangdong. The package showed the tracking number from ‘’cs4’’, so there is no room for misunderstanding.
The tiny package however contained no sweater dress or whatever clothing at all, but only a card etui (supposedly from Louis Vuitton but probably fake).
From reading other ‘’scam’’ reporting sites, I got the impression that Chen Jian makes his living by sending this ‘’Louis Vuitton’’ garbage all over the world, no matter what kind of product is ordered.
KDNCOOLINGTOWER has no address, no telephone number and no email address, just a comment field which gives no confirmation or response. I mailed back to cs4, but they too refuse to answer.
Which leaves me with the suspicion that they willingly cooperate with this Chen Jiang.
In other words: stay away from that cooling tower!
Hayley Page says
I keep seeing the most beautiful floral coat that I’d love to have but I’m incredibly dubious of the sites. I’ve listed a few addresses below.
Does anyone know anything about them? I wondered if I was able to post a photo of the coat I’m interested in if anyone knew where I could get the genuine article from?
Jane says
Please add LaddyTopia to your DO NOT order from list. They are from China too and their quality is HORRIBLE!!!! When you try to return the item, they offer you a 10% refund or all the shipping and customs is on you for the return. They are rip-off artists!
Tina says
Anyone ordered from ***Hautboho, https://lifeandstyle.store/***??
Liza says
Looks like the page has closed, they probably given it a new scam name 👎
EMMA says
any update on this site? its still marketing hard on IG. Please let us know if anyone has any insight.
thanks!
Noreen Hendershot says
I would also like to add a site called “That Feeling When” I placed and order December 4th, 2018 and still have not received it due to “delay in shipping”. After a few emails, I realized I was scammed when the emails looked generated and were all the same regardless of my questions. Stay away from this place
Traci says
Any reviews on Heyjue?
Liza says
The clothes comes from China. Scam company.
LAWANDA GORDON says
Hi, I actually ordered from rosegal. There true to there style they just run a little small. But the other ones i never heard of but thanks for the list..what about a website named (my best honey). Have you ever heard of them

Berrylook is another scam. I saw some cute cute! dresses on that site and ALMOST ordered. I read the on-site reviews of the dresses and they were all 5 stars..( LOL yeah right.) So i read reviews from people on other sites. WOW what horrible experiences people have had! Stay away from Berrylook!!!
