Verify Your Email Address or Phone Number

 Why verify?

"Verification Required" is part of an overall effort to help protect both you and the communities on Roblox. Here are a few benefits to adding your email or phone number.

  • Easier account recovery like the Reset Password feature so that you don't lose access to your experiences, Roblox limiteds and more.
  • Keeping your account secure like the 2-Step Verification feature to make sure no one else can login to your account, even if they know your password.
  • Your account will also get the bonus of the Verified, Bonafide, Plaidafied hat!

 

How to verify

Verify by Email Address

  1. Log into your account.
  2. Go to account Settings.
    • Web Browser: Find the gear-icon located at the upper-right corner of the site.
    • Mobile Apps: Find the three dots icon for More.
  3. Select the Account Info tab.
  4. Select the Add Email button.
  5. An email will be sent to your email address.
  6. Find that email in your inbox, and follow the instructions in the email.

 

Verify by Phone Number

This function is only available in select countries. In countries where this function is not available, the Phone Number field will not be available.

  1. Log into your account.
  2. Go to account Settings.
    • Web Browser: Find the gear-icon located at the upper-right corner of the site.
    • Mobile Apps: Find the three dots icon for More.
  3. Select the Account Info tab.
  4. Select the Add Phone button.
  5. Enter your phone number.
  6. A one-time Roblox security code will be sent to your phone.
  7. Enter the one-time Roblox security code and your phone number will be verified.

 

Not receiving the verification email?

If you don't receive the email within a few minutes, check your Spam/Junk folder. If it still gives you trouble, you can also add email_validate@roblox.com to your address book/contact list and try again.

 

Adding Security

Make sure that you have enabled 2-Step Verification (2SV) as an added security measure to keep others out of your account. See our Add 2-Step Verification to Your Account for information on how to enable it.
