Dynamo players in national teams: who, where, when

The international break in club football has begun. For FC Dynamo Kyiv players, it started even earlier as they played their last UPL game last Thursday while the youth team – a day before that.

A number of Dynamo players have joined their national and national youth teams.

Ukraine national team

On Wednesday, March 13, Ukraine internationals, who play in the UPL, left for Poland and upon arrival departed for Marbella, Spain, to get ready for the Euro-2024 qualification playoffs.

This time following Kyiv side players were called up: goalkeeper Heorhiy Bushchan, defenders Olexandr Karavayev and Denys Popov, halfbacks Volodymyr Brazhko (first call-up) and Mykola Shaparenko, forward Vladyslav Vanat.

A number of Ukraine U21 players participated in the national team training process including Kyivans Ruslan Neshcheret, Kostiantyn Vivcharenko and Nazar Voloshyn.

In the Euro-2024 qualification semifinal Ukraine will face Bosnia and Herzegovina away. The game will take place on March 21. In case the Yellow-Blues succeed, they’ll face either Israel or Iceland on March 26.

Ukraine Olympic team

On March 17, Ruslan Rotan’s men gathered in Kyiv and left for the Hungarian town of Szeged to have a training camp.

This team has one Dynamo representative on the players’ list – defender Maxym Diachuk (and Anton Bol, who features for Zoria on loan).

Ukrainians are going to play a friendly against Japan in Fukuoka on March 25.

The 2024 Olympic Games football tournament drawing will be held on March 20 in Paris.

Ukraine U21

On Monday, March 18, Ukraine U21 started their training camp in Turkey.

Three players represent Dynamo – Ruslan Neshcheret, Kostiantyn Vivcharenko and Nazar Voloshyn.

On March 22, Ukrainians will play a friendly against Morocco U23 in Antalya while on March 26 they’ll play a Euro-2025 qualifier against Azerbaijan in Baku (kick-off – 14:00 Kyiv time).

Ukraine U19

On March 20-26 Ukraine U19 will be performing in the Euro-2024 qualification elite round. To qualify for the Euro finals, the Yellow-Blues need to outplay Switzerland, North Macedonia and Latvia.

Five Dynamo players have been called up – defenders Olexiy Husiev, Taras Mykhavko and Nazar Balaba, halfback Andriy Matkevych and forward Matviy Ponomarenko.
