The only tub available when I called to make a Father’s Day reservation was a signature tub: Cascade. I can’t speak to the other options but this cabana was well worth the upgrade. More importantly, the faculty is taking every step to ensure the safety of their employees and patrons. Everyone was wearing masks in community spaces, foot-operated hand washing stations are set up around the property, and tables were set up more than 6 feet apart. This experience was the highlight of our three-week trip to the mountains.

Went here kind of last minute, and called the day before for hot tub time. We wanted spa treatments too, but they were full. Per their advice we brought snacks and drinks, showed up (I guess not quite early enough, but they were so sweet about it). We just got the basic tub- nothing deluxe, but the setting was nice, you could see and hear the creek through the bamboo. We enjoyed our hour long soak, and they came and very discretely knocked outside when our time was up. My skin felt so soft afterwards. Then we left and checked out the stores and restaurants in Hot Springs. I can’t wait to go back and schedule some spa treatments too.

First the good. You can have a cabin, park your RV or tent camp. Lots of trees and space. Our cute 2 bedroom cabin # 19 ( no hot tub in cabin) had a full compact kitchen, 2 burner stove top, full size fridge, L shaped couch- 4 of us could sit. Round 4 seat table. A couple pots n pans, coffee maker, coffee supplied, silverware. Everything was clean. Bed linens clean. A covered porch with seating for 4 and a table. The bad- our bed had very squeaky springs, the slightest move was very noisy. Ok I guess if you have the cabin to yourself but we were 2 couples. The mirror in the bathroom was too high, at 5’7” I could see my face but the other lady at 5’2 could not. There is a fire ring toward the back of the cabin which we used to bbq. The hot tubs ( across the street) in my opinion were very overpriced and did not have a lot of jets. The water was warm enough and the little hut thing was clean. You could take a stroll on the gravel path or walk down to the river and walk right along the river easily. Lots of dogs at the time we were there and that was nice. The one regular full service restaurant in town Iron- something was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. I’d say if you go to stay in a cabin I’d say get one that has the tub right in the cabin.

Room Tip: Don’t get # 19 unless they change out the squeaky box springs.

WiFi did not work. They blamed us for not knowing how to connect. BS. Then the next person told us why there was no internet. The suite was simply ugly. They had a DVD player wh8ch I called to see how to make it work. They said there was no DVD player as I was kneel8ng in front of it and it did operate, open and close etc. We went to use the spa. You would expect them to give you a towel when you went in but they expected you to bring your small bath towel from your room which the don't tell you. The picture of the suite is, in fact, not a picture of the suite. Ugly, ugly room. They threaten you with a $250 charge if you don't clean up your dishes. I started to cook and realized they did not provide a sponge to clean your pan so I stopped cooking. One of the burners on the stove was broken. Ugly, ugly room with horrible service and terribly rude staff.

I went to The Hot Springs this past weekend with a group of friends. It was my first time in North Carolina and was very excited for the Hot Springs. It was not what we expected. There were so many bugs walking towards the tub area and nears the bathrooms. It was very gross. The tub was nothing special, to be honest, we had a view of the stream but I wasn't impressed. Our jets inside our tub keep coming out and there was no strong pressure for bubbles to form. When we mentioned it to employee there, it was like we were an inconvenience. After, he told us to go to the front desk to see if they can do something for us since we weren't able to enjoy the full experience. She said and I quote "we sell the mineral water not the jets" Personally, that was very rude and I will never return or refer anyone to visit.

Booked cabin#11, 6 months in advance. Celebrated my 18 year old's birthday with my 75 year old mother and son. The cabin smelled like mold when we checked in. The exhaust vent over the stove didn't work so when you cooked, the fire alarm went off. It continued to go off until we flagged an employee down in our pajamas. No one answered the phone when we called and there is no staff on site during weekend hours. You have to cross the street about a 1/2 mile to get assistance with anything.
The employee got a ladder to dismantle the smoke detector and then he removed the smoke detector without replacing it. Not sure if that was supposed to make us feel better? The pans were not NON stick, so couldn't clean them. We left a tip, ran the dishwasher, swept the floor, and took out the garbage before checkout and were still charged additional cleaning fees. When I asked for proof of the "damages", they state the files are too large to send. Also, there was nothing in the fully stocked cabin to clean the pots and pans with. This is so they are able to charge you additional cleaning fees on departure. Seems like a scam to me! I've been to 4 other hot springs around the world. Choose one of those before wasting your time and money here!

My family has been visiting the resort and spa for 10 years now with great experiences. This time when I booked my hot tub appointment, I was told a price( which has increased greatly). At checkin I confirmed that price of $150. Upon reviewing my credit card statement, I was charged $175. I called the spa and spoke with a manager who was unwilling to credit the $25 after I had 2 quotes at that price. My mistake for not getting a printed receipt-no one offered one either. My family had 2 RV sites, 4 cabins and 5 hot tub bookings that week. So quite a bit of money was spent at the resort along with money spent at restaurants and shops in the town. The manager was uncaring whether he lost all our business over $25.00. Really sad as the town needs money secondary to the pandemic. The scenery is beautiful, but please be aware of poor management.

My husband and I enjoyed the Cascade tub in the afternoon. Google maps made us miss the exit, so make sure you pay attention to signs leading you to Hot Springs. The cabana was clean and very nice for 2 people to relax and enjoy either sitting in the jacuzzi or lounging on the furniture in front of the gas fire under a heater. The robes were perfect for keeping warm and comfortable. We did not use the shower, but it was very clean. Bring food and drinks with you. They have a fridge and a nice counter to set things on. Very large cabana and you will love it!

We booked a 1 hour mineral springs soak on 9/28 7:00 PM. We throughly enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and directed us to our assigned private cabana. It’s 3 sided so you can soak and look out into the wooded area behind the resort. We saw dear and other wildlife. The water is pumped into a hot tub which has jets. We felt it was around 100 degrees. Some docs say it can be 104. The temp was just right for us. Very relaxing and rejuvenating. The cabana and tub were very well maintained and clean. We were impressed and will go back when in the area. Recommended.

My mom booked a hot tub for her and her friends. Unfortunately her friends had an emergency and couldn’t make it. My mom called to cancel the reservation but because it was not 48 hrs in advance they still charged her. Sad they do not care about their customers or extenuating circumstances.

We only used the mineral spa services. You should probably call them directly for the correct answer. We really enjoyed the soaking tubs.

Regular tub after 6pm is $47 for the group. Before 6pm is a little cheaper. Very good prices!

Yes- u can drive there from Asheville easily. Maybe a little over an hour. Road in is kind of steep but very doable. Your granddaughters will like it. the soaking tubs are private and clean and comfy. Can't remember the price- it is probably on their website.
