Hot Springs is a wonderful destination for fun and food. The diverse range of options you can find here are many, and you don’t have to travel far to find them. Many can easily be found right on Central Avenue, the main road through downtown. 

The Pancake Shop is a Hot Springs institution known for its wonderful breakfasts. Open since 1940, it is one of the oldest family run and operated restaurants in the state. Fresh squeezed orange juice, pancakes made from scratch, homemade sausage, eggs, bottomless cups of coffee and more are on the hearty menu.  

The Vault is a fine dining restaurant that makes its home in an original 1890s bank building. McClard’s Bar-B-Q is a legendary Arkansas barbecue restaurant established in 1928 with meat smoked daily on the premises. 

Craft beer is a popular part of the culinary scene in Hot Springs. There are options for great beer around the city, from enjoying a pint made from thermal spring waters to enjoying a brew with a lakeside view. Superior Bathhouse Brewery is located on Bathhouse Row in Hot Springs National Park. This is the first brewery to be located within a national park and it is also the only brewery in the world that uses thermal spring water to create their craft beers. 

Located across the street from the Superior is the Ohio Club, which is said to be the oldest bar in Arkansas. It has been open since 1905 when its patrons included the likes of Al Capone and Mae West. Upon entering you will be greeted with a view of a beautiful 19th-century mahogany bar. On the menu is made-from-scratch burgers and an assortment of bar food to enjoy.
