Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

While the Horseshoe Bossier Casino & Hotel provides a comfortable atmosphere, guests have noted that it feels dated in places, with a mix of modern and worn furnishings. Clean rooms with cozy beds are a plus, but the absence of in-room coffee makers and limited complimentary amenities have been a point of contention. Opinions on value are mixed, as unexpected fees and room quality issues dampen the experience for some. Additionally, service quality appears to be hit or miss, adding to the varied guest satisfaction.

This was a comp stay for 1 nt -just paid the $20 resort fee. There was nowhere to sit outside & relax in the sun. There is an outdoor pool that was “ closed for the season” but even if I went there, all the chairs, tables & loungers were stored for the season even though it was nice sunny weather. The coffee maker had tons of coffee supplies in the room as did the bathroom (shampoos, lotions, soaps). Good to have a frig in room with plenty of ice down the hall. A free band played downstairs in the whiskey bar that was very entertaining with a lot of ppl dancing. I would stay again if the price was right

We checked out today after a 2 night stay. Our room was very clean, well supplied with the necessities, and staff was quickly ready to accommodate any request for additional items. Room service was available for breakfast and orders were delivered before estimated delivery time. 8oz Burger Bar waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive during the meal. Front desk staff, housekeeping and casino staff were very polite, attentive and willing to meet our needs. At this time there is no valet parking. There are an abundant number of sanitization stations throughout the premises.

I find Horseshoe Casino is very appealing . Lots of Gift shops that supplies your every need. The Hotel is just around the corner from the gift shops so if you need to get anything before going to your room you can. They have very nice people to check you in and help you with your luggage. Just around the corner the elevators are right there. Horseshoe hotel rooms are larger than most Cansions with great views and large tubs room service comes right up when you call them and fix any problem you have for instance I call for a cleaner so I could clean the tub instead of myself cleaning it they insisted.

We received a phone call alerting us that we were invited to stay free at the Horseshoe Bossier City for Valentines night. We accepted the invitation. We requested a non smoking room and let them know that we would drive in after work and arrive about 11:00pm. We were sent an email confirmation. We arrived a little before 11:00 pm, unloaded our luggage and went to check in. We were told by check in that they did not have a room for us. After speaking with the employee for a while, I asked for a supervisor. After a wait, a woman came and spoke with me. She said they had no rooms available. I spoke with her for a few minutes and was told they could give me a smoking room. (Even though I was told minutes before there were no rooms available.) I am a veteran and have respiratory issues, and I explained this to her. At no time did I raise my voice or speak inappropriately. At 12:40am, my wife and I tried to find a room at other respectful hotels. There were none to be found due to the holiday. We had to drive several hours back home after working all day and driving in for the weekend, arriving home in the early morning hours. We have enjoyed many days and nights at the Horseshoe Casino and Hotel. But we will not again. We were never offered an apology by anyone that we spoke with nor any explanation.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. We hope that you visit us again soon and give us a chance to earn back your trust.

I visit Horseshoe Bossier City several times during the year. The Staff is very courteous and each member takes his or her job seriously. The rooms are spacious and each room, to the best of my knowledge, has a comfortable King Size Bed or Two Queen Size Beds, Coffee Pot, Larger Refrigerator, Sofa, Table with Chairs and Toiletries and adequate towels in the Bathroom. Housekeeping makes sure that the room is properly cleaned and ready for the next guest(s).

The hotel and casino was very clean and always smells nice even in the casino where smoking is allowed! I wish their cleaners and air freshener was on the market where we could buy it for our homes. The staff was very attentive and nice. Overall great visit! We will be back soon.

My wife and are from near San Antonio and decided to just pack and getaway on the spur of the moment. Didnt even know where we were going to go, but we ended up near Shreveport/Bossier and called to see if we could get a room when we were 15 minutes away. They had a room but only a smoking room available. They gave us a great rate based on my previous play at other Ceasar resorts (and no! I am not a high roller). I had not been to the area in years and was so pleasantly surprised at how it has improved. The hotel was gorgeous. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Yes! Things were a little different due to virus precautions but it was not enough to kill the fun. This place has a great pool. Small but gorgeous. Great restaurants. Not all were open but the food we had was great. Casino drink service was solid. Their waitresses were slightly overworked during the Saturday night rush but they tried hard to keep up and make everyone happy. The casino staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We did have to switch rooms after the first night and get out of the smoking room but that was not their fault. It was our last minute planning. The positive is that the front desk staff was so kind and helpful in trying to make sure we were happy and moved to a non smoking room. We will definitely be back!

It's been years since I reviewed this place, yet I come here every year.
This last time was during COVID. Check in was easy with no line, and some very friendly desk agents.
The room is nothing major, comfortable bed, oversize bath, HD tv, good wifi, etc.
But be warned that right now there is no in room coffee maker (and more importantly to me, not cups or glasses). I don't drink coffee much, so the coffee wasn't an issue, but just a glass or cup for water would have been nice. The Burger Bar will give you a cup if you ask the right person (I imagine housekeeping might also).
Also note, if you are staying long there is no housekeeping daily service, but you can get extra towels if needed Even though I only used two towels my stay I put them all on the floor to make sure the next person got fresh clean towels.
There's no valet parking right now, and games in the casino are limited (man I need poker), and note the restaurant times...right now there's no 24 hour service.
Anyway, it's still a good place.

Will stay here again, it's a little outdated though. Please consider spending 10 dollars per room and putting something with a USB port to charge a phone. Had to spend 30 dollars in the gift shop for a plug. The furniture is very dirty, it needs to be cleaned.

Our trip was really nice overall. While the rooms are showing some age, and need updating, particularly electronics (TV, outlets and USB charging ports), the rest of the facility remains very clean and well maintained. There were high points to the trip with a few very nice employees (dealers Dez, Rod and Kiah, server Irene, floor servers in general, and the poker room dealers by and large), and some lows (slow service in Tradewinds asian restaurant, several distracted floor dealers who were more interested in talking with each other than dealing, and basic ADD activity in the cashier cages). The machines functioned as expected with a very few exceptions. Check in was quick and easy.
If I had one suggestion, it would be to create a dedicated kiosk for check cashing and credit card drafts. With short staffed cages, if both working cashiers are cashing checks, be prepared to wait.
Overall, Horseshoe gets a good solid B.
