My wife and I stayed for 1 night on route back to Tampa. Our room was on the ground floor behind the Tiki Bar and by the stairs, The room was very small, so no room for our cases, it was like a 70's throwback so in need of a makeover, and there was a bit of a funny smell in the room. The check in was smooth and trouble free, but I have to say the parking lot would be a problem if the hotel was busy ( I know there is a lot across the road but to have to drag your luggage across the road). I appreciate that being on the beach that space is a premium so maybe create a drop off zone ?? just a thought.
The location looked to be good as right on the beach, the Tiki Bar was shut when we arrived so we popped next door to the bar there for a bite to eat and drinks.
To be honest we could have gone and asked to change rooms but as we were only there for the night we decided to just accept it,( to be honest we sort of felt that thye realised we were a 1 night so took it that it would be OK).
Would I stay here again, mmm location right on the beach was good but the cost would have to make it worth it.

Our room was clean and seemed to have been updated recently. The property is older but we didn’t mind the age since the cleanliness and view were perfect. The pool is heated so that helps to occupy children on a windy day. There are swings around the tiki bar that are a great spot to watch the sunset and take in the beautiful gulf coast.

Parking is limited beachside. There are additional parking options across the street.

There were some questionable people & smells around the property. We felt safe and overall were not bothered, but I could see where others might view this poorly. I usually enjoy opening the beachfront door to take in the cool air, but this kept us from doing so.

It's an older place that hasn't been renovated in a long while. Stayed in an upstairs, beachview, room with two queens, each in separate rooms. I upgraded to this room upon arrival and paid about $85 a night in the off season. Not bad in my opinion. Really didn't need the extra space as I was alone, but it was nice to be able to spread all my stuff out in the room I wasn't using since I was only there for two nights. Parking is probably the weakest area, there are maybe 20 parking spaces on the hotel side of the road, and a much larger lot across the street. There's no close crosswalk, and there's a median about half of the frontage. It's not very convenient, and there's no place to park and unload, if you do, you're blocking the entire parking lot. Being the off season it wasn't so bad as I didn't have to contend with dragging all my stuff across the road in the traffic. Last negative point that I saw was that you MUST checkout by 10 a.m. or it's an extra $20 for every hour. I assume that's a provision to deal with spring breakers and the like, but it kinda sucked on a Sunday morning :) Checkin and Checkout were very smooth and professional. Tiki bar was closed but looked like it could be fun in season. Pool was open and was adequate, and there's easy, close access to the beach. All in all, I felt like $85 was more than fair for what I got.

My wife and I recently stayed a couple nights at Bikini Beach Resort, before transferring to another nearby hotel for the our 3rd night in PCB. We were pretty disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, but decided to stick it out, due to the prices or surrounding hotels. After our first night, my wife had some bites show up, and we crossed our fingers it wasn’t bed bugs. After the 2nd night, and three more bites (in a row), we came to the conclusion we were most likely dealing with bed bugs. We experienced this at one hotel in the past, and the bites were the same as we experienced then.

Upon inspection of the mattress/box spring, we found lots of questionable spots, including small rust colored spots, which is a pretty sure sign of bed bugs. We also noted a spot on the sheet where it looked like someone had vomited, and the sheet hadn’t been cleaned. After seeing all this, we knew we couldn’t stay.

We spoke with the manager, and requested a refund after notifying him of the bites we had dealt with, and the lack of cleanliness in the room. We weren’t given an apology for the experience at all. We were also told no refund would be issued until they had a company come inspect for bed bugs, although he did refund our final night, since we were checking out early. After returning home, I contacted him again to inquire about the status of our refund. We were sent a letter from a cleaning company stating they found no signs of bed bugs, so we wouldn’t be receiving a refund for the first two nights. I’ll let y’all check out the photos, and decide for yourself!

Overall, our stay was very disappointing, and we won’t be staying here again in the future. Would hate for anyone else to walk into the mess we did, so I felt obligated to leave a review. Just know that there is a reason this place is half the price of some surrounding areas. The only positives were the view from the room’s balcony, and the front desk staff’s friendliness.

Just spent 3 nights at Bikini Beach Resort in Panama City Beach. The weather was beautiful, so we were able fo escape the room to the gorgeous beach. The hotel is old and worn and in a lot of disrepair: not quaint. The ocean view was blocked by untrimmed palm trees. The bathroom seemed fairly clean, but NO water pressure in the shower and the hair dryer provided in the bathroom was gross: I don't think it had ever been cleaned, and I avoided touching it. The parking lot is fairly non-existent (maybe 10 spaces?): it was blocked by large, smelly trash containers which we had to pass getting to the street. The parking lot ACROSS the street seemed adequate but involved making U-turns on the main road to get there. And also recrossing the very busy street with no pedestrian crosswalk or stoplight. The biggest asset of the hotel was LOCATION. If you are assured of good weather and plan to stay outside, the tiny room with noisy air conditioner might be considered adequate. We hung bath and beach towels on the balcony to dry due to humidity inside. We wore socks inside to keep our feet off the very damaged floor. And we never unpacked: there was no space to put anything, and it was questionable as to when the furniture had last been cleaned. A maintenance person entered out room with a key and without knocking one night (a mistake). If all you are looking for is a toilet, a sink, a bed and easy access to the beach, this place would be ok. If you're looking for a comfortable room to relax, this is not the place. For its tiny size and lack of amenities, this place is way overpriced. I have posted photos elsewhere to go with this review.

I always like to read reviews before staying somewhere so I was a little skeptical of this place. I’ve stayed in condos that were fully stocked with dishwasher, washer/dryer, lots of dishes (basically doing my thinking for me) but this is an old Florida hotel so I understood the difference before even going. MY FAMILY HAD AN ABSOLUTE BLAST! We visited during the Labor Day weekend and were amazed at how well the staff made us feel like we were at home, always so friendly and ready to chat and ask about our stay! Never said they didn’t have something and were always ready to recommend places to go and things to do. Our second night was Friday and after making a family dinner in our room’s kitchen, we were greeted with a movie on a projector screen on the gulf side grassy area while listening to the waves roll in from our balcony! Kids were laying in the grass enjoying the movie. The bartender from the Tiki Bar served us drinks and also had snacks available but we were already full from our pizza night. I had noticed a man and woman trying to get all the equipment set up but had no idea the hotel had even planned this! After some investigating I found out it was the General Manager and Assistant General Manager! Upper management were getting their hands dirty and out in the heat to make our stay memorable! (Also found out they had already been there for 12 hours at that point, at 8 pm!) We will visit again for sure! The only complaint we had was that the staff didn’t get to enjoy the movie with us!

We spontaneously drove by this location, looking for a room for the night. The staff let us view a room on the top floor, which we didn’t like. But then we saw one on the bottom floor directly adjacent to the pool and beach. We liked it so much we booked two nights! The staff let us use the Internet to book the cheapest rate online and they gave us a free upgrade.

We stayed here October 18-19, 2019 to help celebrate our son's 21st birthday. We booked a triple room. The rate was great, the room was clean. There was a tropical storm coming in, we got to sit right in the enclosed balcony to watch the waves roll in that night.

We would stay here again in a heart beat!!

We enjoy staying at small, local places. We should have listened to the information posted by former guests.
Our room was tiny and needed updating, but it was clean! With no housekeeping due to COVID, sand was all over the floor and in the bed, and we had to wear shoes to walk around the room. There were not enough outlets for the frig, coffee maker, and microwave to be plugged in at the same time. The A/C was very loud and didn't cool well, so we were awake most of the night. The last night, we were awake due to extremely loud guests next door who screamed and yelled outside our room. The TV worked, but the picture was awful.

Others commented on the friendly staff, but that was not our experience.

The location was convenient, and the gulf and beach were beautiful. We had to park across the street the entire time due to very limited parking.

If you're looking for a cheaper option with low expectations, this is for.you!

We stayed at this "resort" for three nights. It was a last minute plan and all of the other hotels were already booked and more expensive. The room pictures are nothing but advertisement. At least the room we stayed in was small and in need of an upgrade. The whole hotel needs an upgrade. The building is old from the outside which was our first disappointment. As if there were not enough, our first night was disturbed by a couple fighting next door. The fight went on from mid-night to 4am.

We are giving it a 3 stars since the staff was friendly and helpful, but this hotel is in need of an upgrade to make their customer's stay more comfortable and enjoyable. There's a tiki bar which only accepts cash. The hotel has an ATM in the front desk. The fee is $4.
