It was a little tricky to find because the name of the shop was different than the name on trip advisor. I got there just as it opened and used onsite parking.

It was my first time to shoot so I was a little nervous but the staff were cool and friendly. I paid for the cheapest course (around 60 bucks). I had fun shooting the guns but the whole thing was over in a out 10 minutes. lol

Would have been nice to have different targets/different distances to shoot at.

Overall, I had a good time, but it was a little expensive. Next time I want to try some of the bigger guns!!

Coming from Australia, my partner wanted to experience guns he hadn't shot with before. Vast packages to choose from with well kept guns. Good instruction and support whilst shooting.

Went to SWAT Gun Club two nights ago with husband, and 2 sons aged 12 & 8. Much to his great dismay my 8 year old was unable to shoot so had to be satisfied watching from a screen. 12 year old was nervous but super excited. As we are from Australia these kinds of guns are unavailable to us, so it was fun for him to be able to handle these and shoot them. He shot a 22 rifle & Glock amongst others. His COD and Pub G (Xbox) skills are clearly paying off as he skilfully shot the target over and over. As a mother I was thrilled to take out my frustrations on the target (travelling with kids does that) and I’m happy to say we all survived the outing. Great value for money, in central Waikiki, we didn’t book we just walked in. Don’t worry about the dingy alley you walk down to get in, it really isn’t a big deal. Access however may be a problem for some - it’s up a narrow, external metal winding staircase. My son and I did the A package for $69USD. I got to shoot a gun like Dirty Harry which nearly knocked me through the wall but never did we feel unsafe. I shot 4 different gun types - pistols and a rifle. Everything was well organised, the guys were very helpful, polite and explained the system throughly. Travellers will need photo ID or passport.

Be sure to download and print your discount coupons before you leave your home country.
Easy to find, just off the main street.
No access though if you are old or in a wheelchair.
Very tall spiral staircase.
Looks as though it used to be a couple of flats or holiday apartments.

Once upstairs, not much to see except the reception desk.
We got the premium package to shoot everything, and if needed you can substitute weapons. I opted for another pistol rather than the 12 gauge shot gun, as I have shot those before.
We also purchased the T Shirt, that you can use instead of the paper target.
That was fun, now I wear the "Swat Gun Club" T shirt with over 100 bullet holes in it. VERY cool.
Staff were awesome.
I gave the guy who was helping us a nice tip, as he was very helpful.

Very safe, guns are tightly tethered and can not be pointed at anything other than forward.

HAVE FUN for young and old.

I was visiting Honolulu from Australia, and I'm a massive firearms enthusiast.

Being in the US I had to try out some of their gun ranges. When I got to the range I had a small talk with the range office, he seemed pretty excited that I knew a fair bit about firearms, plus I showed him my state firearms licenses and a few photos on my phone of my rifles and pistols back home. To add to the excitement, we were both previously served in the Air Force of our respected countries.

So, after that the range officer seem pretty happy and pleased that I wasn't going to blow my head off, or do any unsafe acts.

When we entered the range, he said "go on as normal, if you need assistance, place the weapon down and I'll sort it out, but you seem to know what you're doing" and I just picked up the weapons he had set out for me and fired down range.

Definitely a great experience, the only negative I can say is that it's a little expensive. I would have gone back everyday if it didn't cost so much.

But apart from that 10/10 for services and excitement, well done guys :)

I looked up gun clubs before my honeymoon a few years ago and made the right choice with Swat! I made a reservation appt online, and they were flexible understanding I might be jetlagged and may need to reschedule (no rescheduling needed, in my case). Tourists should GPS the location before heading out, I walked it from our hotel.

The front service was welcoming, laid back and friendly. I received adequate safety instruction. My wife didn't want to shoot, and was able to watch from the lobby and took some video of my experience. I also am very grateful to my 1-on-1 instructor who volunteered to take some cool pics with my phone, once he was sure all was safe! Awesome service! I tried a variety of weapons as a package, and got all my target sheets to keep as a souvenir. Also got to keep some of my empty shell casings-of course be careful about travelling or boarding any flights with those.

Overall A+ experience for me. Not fancy place, but it's a gun range :) lol.
I also saw regular patrons on the shooting range, so gotta feel good since the locals go there. Affordable, fun, safe, flexible and the team cares that their clients have a great time! Enjoy!

We were a bit concerned when we were walking to the venue down an alley way. However it was a great experience, my husband and I had an absolute ball. The instructor was extremely helpful in show us how to use and aim the guns. Great experience. Would highly recommend

I went to this range with my 17 year old son. He had shot a couple pistols once before and I had shot many different guns but nothing recently. We were looking for something to do while my wife and daughter shopped. There were a few guys on Kalakaua Ave passing out pamphlets for the place. We go a brochure and then talked it over during lunch and then went back to the guy on Kalakaua. He was working on commission so was more than happy to walk us back to the place. It is not a place you would stumble across, it is off the mans street by a couple blocks and there was construction going on so it was challenging to find. When we got there we chose one of the smaller packages, were given protective equipment, brief training and the we were shooting. It was great fun for both of us and I would recommend it to anyone. I know that other reviews mention that it was pricey but firstly, everything in pricey in Honolulu and secondly I thought it was similar to prices in Vegas.
