We stayed overnight at this hotel and are very pleased. Location is close to I95 near several other hotels and numerous restaurants, mostly chains but includes a Bonefish Grill. Modern amenities and very clean. We had a king studio suite which had the best water pressure and hot water than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at!! Only complaint is that toilet is very low to floor for a 73 year old! Lol. Front staff couldn’t be more friendly. A special shout-out to Wanda and Mel at front desk during the day and Angelo in the early morning. All were extremely helpful and kind. Overall, a great place to stay on our return from Florida.
I just finished a wonderful stay at this location. I had stayed here a year before in 2020 where my experience was great but what they had offered last year for breakfast put kind of a bad taste in my mouth. In fairness to them, that was a time where COVID travel restrictions were still in place. This time, they took my expectations of this place and BLEW THEM OUT THE WATER! It was one of the most AMAZING stays at a hotel I’ve ever experienced. I stayed here 6 nights and the flawless service started when our family checked in. I forgot his name but whoever checked us in on a Monday afternoon at around 6pm was excellent. Their breakfast was still not back to the buffet but it was SO MUCH BETTER than what they had from July 15-19, 2020. They have a hot breakfast with cereals, yogurts, juices, and coffee. Joyce and Rich were some of the most hospitable breakfast workers I’ve ever come across in the entire Hilton brand. Joyce’s bright attitude and demeanor while serving breakfast always put a smile on my face. Rich was kind enough to clean up our trash at our table every morning and he also started conversations with us as well😀. I wish they would’ve done the evening reception, even if it was in the same format as the breakfast I experienced but it did not take away from the professionalism that the staff here showed. Housekeeping did great every time that we requested it. Linda, the morning front desk attendant, was so nice and ready to help if we needed something. Ronnie, the manager, was so professional and definitely knew what he was doing. If we ever needed something or there was an issue, Ronnie found a way to make it right. I loved seeing both of their faces in the morning. I can’t say enough good things about this establishment. I can’t wait to get back here whenever they have all dining services back to buffet style. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay😀…
We have stayed here several times before, also staying at either the adjoining Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn. We chose the Homewood Suites because we needed a pet-friendly hotel for this trip. FIRST, thank you to the management for making this an option. When traveling with our other family member (dog) it is wonderful to have a Hilton product available for a stay. As a Diamond member and HGVC owner, we prefer staying with “our brand”. As far as our stay goes, the room was “sealed” with the cleaning sticker, and we found the inside fresh and clean. Great job to housekeeping. Our stay was comfortable. Our only disappointment was the breakfast. We understand the Covid restrictions, but the breakfasts served in the styrofoam containers were cold, not too tasted, and were very small portions. We believe the breakfast team management could do better. All said, with that minor disappointment, we appreciate the quality of the hotel and look forward to our next stay.…
Very poor customer service. The hotel stated that due to COVID, if you wanted to have your room serviced, you had to call by 10pm the night before. We did this, requesting only fresh towels for the next day. We did not get fresh towels. When we returned to our room later in the day, we called the hotel’s house keeping number and requested fresh towels. When these towels failed to appear 45 minutes later, we called again only to be told that we would need to go to the front desk to get towels. I have traveled extensively over my life, literally staying in 100’s of different hotels, and I have never be subjected to such rude, lazy behavior. Our traveling companions related a similar complaint to us; they also requested house keeping service but did not receive it. Avoid this place at all costs!…
We stayed at this property last year and had a good experience. However our stay in early april was anything but pleasant. Traveling from MA, we checked in online and activated the digital key. We do like this service and the ability to bypass front desk checkin requirements. Our room was clean, but had several issues. One was the toilet in the bathroom. Flushing was very slow (it did flush), and we had two lamps that did not work in the room. Given that we had traveled over 500 miles, it was late and we were very tired we decided to keep the room and report issues upon our departure. The next morning, the slow toilet became the toilet from hell as it no longer flushed and we were concerned it may overflow. .. we had to go to the lobby to use the public facilities. We departed the hotel before 7 AM and stopped by the front desk to advise they needed to get a plumber in the room to address the toilet situation as well as check lamps for burned out bulbs or plug issues. We advised the person responsible for checking a room before adding it to available inventory for guest use needs to be retrained or fired. There is no excuse for not recognizing the toilet issue when housekeep cleaned the room, as well as two lamps that did not work. The manager offered no comments to our complaint. We will not be returning to this property.…
I try to be as objective as I can in my reviews. I don't write bad reviews because my food was cold, or the front desk didn't smile at me. I also don't write reviews because I was treated like a queen either. I understand that Fredericksburg is a very small town, but honestly, my expectations of a Hilton property were still higher than what we got. I understand that things are a bit different right now with COVID protocols and short staff. I am a business owner. But in my business, quality control, is still on top of my list. I really liked the keyless (app based) room key. It came in handy with our late arrival. The room smelt kinda moldy, but it was also humid this time of year. The entire time we were there, either our room was not made, or someone came in at around 4-5 pm to make it up. The breakfast was horrible :(. I felt so sorry for the guy who had to serve it. He was the only waiter for the entire place. You had to pick your items for breakfast, take a number, and put the piece of paper in a tray where the cook would make your breakfast. He was also alone :(. Needless to stay, the cook did the best he could. We didn't see staff at the front desk a lot. I think they were in the back room. Overall, I think Hilton needs to upgrade their hotel here, and hire more staff once people decide to work again! :)…
We chose this hotel based on the fact that when we stopped at the wecome center in Virginia we were told of a special they were having at the hotel that also included dinner. We weren't sure where we would stay that night but made the decision to stay here based on the fact we were only a couple of hours away and it fit into when we wanted to stop. It was a little hard to find and had to cal the hotel to get directions, but the front desk clerk did a great job of getting us there. He was also helpful in getting us a room close by so my husband didn't have to do a lot of walking. The dinner was disappointing, but convenient in that we didn't have to go out again once we were there. It also came with complimentary beer or wine so that was a nice addition The breakfast could have provided more options.…
A Heartfelt thank you to the staff at Homewood Suites! We booked 9 rooms for family attending my son’s wedding and the meeting room for the wedding party rehearsal luncheon. Sheryl was wonderful at helping me get the meeting room scheduled. Sheryl understood what I needed and set it up perfectly. The meeting room was clean, setup and ready when we arrived. Despite the hotel being totally booked, the cleaning staff were able to get some rooms ready for early check-in. Harvey, Monica and Laurie at the front desk were absolutely amazing. Professional, helpful and a joy to work with while getting everyone checked in. My family complimented us on our choice and stated that this was one of the best hotels that they have stayed at. My Niece greatly appreciated how friendly and nice the front desk staff were to her children. And I appreciate all the hard work the Homewood Suites’ staff did on my family’s behalf. Thank you! Mother of the Groom and the Jones Family.…
Great area to stop in - right off 95. Lots of restaurants and the hotel was just fine. Dog friendly too. Felt like the room was clean but our dog kept finding things on the floor that missed cleaning.
I have stayed in many of the Hilton chain hotels but I do not recall ever having stayed in a Homewood Suites before. A very pleasant experience. The rooms were spacious and I liked the walk in shower much better than worrying about slipping in a bathtub-shower. The staff was pleasant, efficient and very helpful throughout my stay. I did wish the shuttle would cover a few miles around the hotel rather than just the airport and return. That was a drawback for me.
