We stayed here as part of a 6 day multi-state/international road trip and this was everybody’s favorite hotel. The room was quite big. It has a full kitchen which worked out perfectly. The sofa bed was utilized and was comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nice. The breakfast the next day was excellent. The gym is very big for a hotel gym. And the price was quite reasonable. The only extra thing to know beforehand is that parking is $12.50/night. But it’s very convenient and right next to the elevator.

This hotel is amazing, we stayed there for 10 days for a business trip and I do not have any complaints at all. The suite is amazing, has full kitchen, living room, separate bedroom, huge washroom including a separate door to go to the big shower (someone can shower and someone else can use the sink or whatever to get ready if your 2 person). The staff is extremely friendly, they even kept our bags for free for the last day we where there as we couldn’t bring them at work, and they are a very clean hotel not one day that I didn’t arrive to a roam all cleaned and refreshed. The location is perfect as you are in the middle of downtown with a easy walk (within 10 min) to lots of great restaurants and you are also right beside the Jackson square (leave hotel, walk cross parking, wait for crosswalk and your there). We had free hot breakfast included, they always have the waffle maker, juice, water, coffee, toast, bagels and daily they change but it always includes one sort of eggs, one sort of meat, one sort of potatoes.

Located in the heart of downtown Hamilton, with easy access to the highway, this suites hotel is just an island of serenity in amidst the bustle of the city.
Steps away from a mall, lots of food options, a movie theatre, and the AGH, not to mention Hamilton Place and First Ontario Center!
My check in was quick and easy. I was asked if I want a higher or lower floor. With my mobility issues I initially asked for a lower floor and was told they had a room on the third floor. The FD agent looked at the location of the room and told me it was on the end near the elevators, but there was no view of the city. She clearly told me that I would only have a view of the building next door and the roof of the parking lot.
The the lovely Fd agent offered me a room on the 6th floor with a view of the escarpment. My only question was if the shower was a walk-in, or a bathtub, and it was a walk-in! Sold!
Connecting to the wifi was as simple as reading the screen! Your name, your room number! No password required!
The curtains were clean, and to be honest, I LOVED the cheater drapes hanging in front of the shears! The blackout curtains were behind the shears, tucked out of the way. I can only assume the pretty cheater panels were there to hide the look of the blackout curtains. And seriously? It was a great idea! I can only hope the average guest has the common sense to realize the curtains are super bulky when opened and look to see the blackout curtains. (A lot of hotels are doing this these days, so you know…..). The cheaters don’t close very much, but just reach behind them and you will find the blackout curtains…
Finding breakfast was super easy! At check in I was told to go to the right when I get off the elevator to find the dining room. The FD agent, as well as the website, clearly stated the dining room was closed and your free breakfast was a bagged breakfast. So, took the elevator down to the mezzanine, turned right and lo and behold, past 2 conference rooms and poof a dining room! I only saw 1 sign saying the dining room was closed for sitting in and eating…. But the staff had a great setup. Walk up, they tell you what is available, you tell them what you want, they remind you to take it back to your room.
As for the price? Well, let’s look at the facts. A) downtown, B) it’s a Hilton, C) it’s a suites style, D) built in the last 7 years, E) very modern decor. The rates were not only reasonable at this time of year, but compared to Toronto or Niagara Falls, very affordable.
It is my opinion that anyone who was dissatisfied was actively looking for reasons to be upset.
I mean, the rooms come with a BluRay for crying out loud!
The only part of my weekend that sucked was having to listen to the cacophony from the protesters on Saturday, and that was not the Hotel’s fault.

My mother and I recently stayed here while my husband underwent surgery at Hamilton General. We could not have asked for more when looking for a place to stay at a stressful time. The location was perfect ( a 7 min drive to the hospital) and our room had a great view of City Hall and the city itself. It was so nice to have a full well-appointed kitchen and lots of space to spread out. Rooms were extremely clean and we felt covid safe. We enjoyed the evening complimentary snack service and also the morning breakfasts (packed to go so you can enjoy in your room). My mom enjoyed the private use of the pool each day. Front desk staff was so helpful and caring, always asking how my husband was doing and accommodating in any way they could. Special thanks to Varun and Darlene who went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We can't wait to return and discover Hamilton when we can really enjoy it. Highly Recommended.

This suites hotel is modern and well equipped. Underground parking is convenient and clean. Staff are extremely helpful and a full set of dishes and glassware is provided in the room. Premium suites include snacks, juice and soft drinks. The location is central and an easy walk to restaurants and downtown businesses.

We came down to the air museum, which was amazing. This hotel is a really a 3 star experience, but could be close to a 5 if staff were trained properly and small details were fixed. Right away when we trying to find out where to check in, there was construction signs that made us circle the block. An easy fix would be to have a sidewalk sign that said "Check in" with an arrow. They could also have signage against the building in the pay to park lot with an arrow, so mall but it would save so many first time visitors from circling the block. When we came in to check in we got the usual "How can I help you". It would of cost nothing more for a big smile and a "Welcome to Homewood Suites, I'm ____. Is this your first visit to our property? So we went through the check-in process and I had to ask about dining, the wifi, where the pool was, and so on. She could of easily explained that to me without asking or just have pointed to my room card sleeve where everything was listed. Then we were handed a notice of power interruption, apparently the power was going to be out between 12 midnight and 3pm. No big deal, but this was not noted when I booked the room, I would of probably booked somewhere else as there were several hotels close together. So once we got up to the room the temp was around 78, little warm for us but it adjusted down in about an hour. Little things like the clocks not having the correct time displayed, the toilet paper folded in a triangle and the toilet flushed (cleaning cems were there, no bodily fluids). The blinds have black out curtains but do not close fully. We could not figure out where cutlery or glasses were, they are in the dishwasher - lol. Logical I guess, but a heads up would of been great. So we decided to go to the pool and there was an incredible odor, is smelled like some sort of air freshener and rotting garbage/sulfur. My youngest stepped into the pool and said it was freezing so we just went back to the room. When we got in the elevator to go back to the room, a staff member got on the elevator with beer/glasses on a trolley cart, no "Good evening" or recognition. Same thing the next morning when we went to get the elevator downstairs, there was a housekeeper with her cart on the elevator, when the doors opened the cart was sideways, we could of easily fit in if she turned the cart, but it was obvious that she did not want anyone to get on. Long and short of it, this property could be a real gem if they could just get up to Hilton staff standards. I would not be surprised if they were in between managers, a good in house manager usually pulls up on these sort of small details. They should take a group of the staff/managers to the Ritz Downtown Toronto and get them inspired. Every staff is looking for an opportunity to make the difference in the guests stay. Where at this property, it seemed every staff member was happy to do the bare minimum or less. Hopefully things change around, this property could be a real gem if they had someone in charge to lead/inspire them.

Local stay I was getting some work done on my place and needed a room for the night . I think this is the nicest Hotel in Hamilton very nice lobby and entrance area we had a large suite with 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms living room kitchen area and wet bar in the master bedroom. Free breakfast and a pool very nice hotel .Located in the middle of downtown Hamilton would stay again.

We returned from a one night stay for my daughters dance competition and had to share our experience! Simply put, it was perfect!
Exceptional customer service at front desk (they went above and beyond to help me) and the suites were clean and spacious. There is a separate bedroom and my youngest daughter slept on the pull out couch so my older daughter and I could get up really early to get ready without disturbing her too much. Full fridge, microwave, dishwasher and convection stove top are provided if you are planning a long stay. Breakfast is included on the mezzanine level which really helped as well. They are doing regular buffet style now as covid restrictions have been further lifted. They also offer a light dinner menu which is great if you are too tired to venture out.
The hotel is also about a 5 minute walk (max) to the Convention centre which was great for us as well.
One thing to note is that the parking garage is quite tight so be careful be with your larger vehicles!
Would not hesitate to book there again if I am in the area; thank you for having us!

This was one of the better hotels I’ve stayed at. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the room was very nice. The hotel itself was very nice however the location of the building is in a bit of a sketchy side of Hamilton and I don’t recommend walking anywhere alone. I only wish that the pool was open and that the wifi was a little bit faster.

I did not have any expectations as with covid protocols in place everywhere you can’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the amenities such as pool and gym were available with appointment. Breakfast was still available, although without eat in options we took out breakfast to the room, which I personally ended up enjoying.

We do have limited underground parking lot which is available @ $14.13 including taxes per night per car on first come first serve basis. If our lot is we do have public parking lot around the hotel with a charge depends on the lot (Municipal/ private). Feel free to contact us by texting us 289-203-7833
We do have a two bed room suite with one king bed and two queen beds in two separate bed rooms and one common living room with kitchenette and one sofa with a bed.
There are more places to choose from in the Hamilton area.
