Therap has partnered with the State of North Dakota since 2009, implementing statewide solutions to offer improved and efficient services to individuals with intellectual disabilities in the Peace Garden State.

Intake, Eligibility, Incident Management, Service Authorizations, Case Management, Annual Plans and Support Intensity Scale (SIS) have been implemented. Providers in North Dakota are encouraged to utilize a wide range of Therap’s modules available to them at no additional cost through Therap’s state contract.

Step 1: Billing Module Admin Set up

Description

Service Authorizations and Claim Templates prepare you for the routine processes of your Billing cycle.

Frequency

When new Service authorizations are sent to Providers. Claim Templates will be completed only the first time an individual begins receiving a new service or when services change a template will need to be created or updated.

Step 2: Collect Service Documentation

Description

Documenting services can take place in different places within Therap, depending on the nature of the service.

Frequency

This is part of normal service delivery practices. Providers may review before moving to the next step.

Step 3: Generate Billing Data

Description

Generating Billing Data is the action of converting service documentation into billing data based on settings in the service authorization.

Frequency

This is part of routine billing cycles. Each provider may have their own timeline for this, e.g. weekly or monthly. Providers can check the Utilization Report to view this step.

Step 4: Generate Claims

Description

Generating Claims adds additional information required for claims, such as Billing Provider information like NPI and taxonomy code.

Frequency

This is part of routine billing cycles. Each provider may have their own timeline for this, e.g. weekly or monthly. Providers can check the Unclaimed Report to be sure all claims have been created.

Step 5: Send Claims

Description

Sending claims puts the claims in a queued status that is ready to be send to the payer/ MMIS. Claims will be automatically change to 'Sent' status once these have been picked up from your que, and sent to the payer.

Frequency

This is part of routine billing cycles. Each provider may have their own timeline for sending claims, however, it is recommended to send claims directly after generating.

Step 6: Reconciliation

Description

Reconciliation is the process of pairing claim information with payment data.

Frequency

This is part of routine billing cycles. Providers should review payment data on a regular basis.

Step 7: Resubmit Claims

Description

Medicaid allows providers to resubmit claims.

Frequency

Not all claims will need to be resubmitted. If new information is found, or claim information needs to be changed, the claim may need to be simply resubmitted, or resubmitted as a replacement of a previously paid claim.

Admin Password Reset Request

If you are the Provider Admin./Super Admin. at your agency, please speak to another Provider Admin. who can reset your password for you. If other Provider Admins. are unavailable at the time, if you are the only one, then please send us a signed request on company letterhead via fax to 203-721-6102. This request should include a direct call back number so that we may give you your login information securely. If your agency has been left with no Provider Admins then the Executive Director of your agency would need to send the signed request as mentioned above.
