One thing I enjoy about working there is that they are flexible with my hours.

One thing I do not enjoy is that there is not a lot of support.

I get along great with all of my coworkers and managers are all pretty helpful. The customers, most of them anyways, are all pretty nice, too.

Excellent company. The people you work with make the difference.

Pros? Location is close to home. Lenient late in policy. Accrual of sick pay and vacation pay. Benefit availability starts day 1 for most programs.

Cons? Easier than pros. PAY. We got a 3% raise. Woo hoo. Doesn't even add a$100 a pay period. On a lark, I applied for a free government phone. I qualified in spite of working FULL TIME. Pitiful to live well below the federal poverty guidelines while

If you get to work with people who actually want to work and work their schedule its awesome. Benefit options like free eye care

Unrealistic work load and work life balance. One thing after another added to all positions but cutting back on hours to add to high call out rates. Upper management has lost the understanding of what its like to work in the building where people dont care about your title and show you lack of respect.

It was the first customer service job that felt like a "real" job. There was training and lots of support from co-workers. I had a sense of purpose and fundamental skills I needed to learn in order to work there.

Assisting customers with their home improvement projects.

The wages were above minimum but not quite adequate with inflation.

Not being solely confined to one area of the store, I was sn order pulled and enjoyed the work and was free to migrate any area of the establishment.

Worked at Auburn Ma. store over 10yrs. Within the last few months new HR person took over and wanted me to change my availability. Due to my wife"s severe medical condition I could not. After being loyal & dedicated for all those years I was told in a roundabout way maybe I should consider quitting. I was really shocked by this response. I've worked in HR at my other job before retiring after 37 yrs of service and would have tried everything in my power to reach a happy medium. Not in this case. I ended up quitting . If Home Depot is supposed to be family God pity non family . Very hurt and disappointed.
