esther r I am surprised that this movie did not get better reviews, I was honestly blown away and very moved. Yes, I must admit some things are messy but the kind of honest mess that makes you cry and call all your friends so they can also watch the movie! Rex Reed Observer Sthers mistakenly thinks the more unconventional she makes the characters, the more we'll like them. What actually happens instead is just the opposite. Rated: 2/4 Jun 21, 2019 Full Review Christy Lemire RogerEbert.com There's so little to these characters beyond a few superficial traits that when serious things happen-and boy, do they happen-it is impossible to be moved the way Sthers intends for us to be. Rated: 1.5/4 Jun 21, 2019 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) There's a sliver of a plot about Harry raising pigs and his family feeling sad, but all is lost within a cacophony of bum notes and fake emotion. Howlingly bad. Rated: 1/5 Apr 5, 2019 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com ...whenever Caan and Hollander are on-screen, they show a great chemistry, ideal for the philosophical ruminations of the script... Rated: 4/5 Mar 1, 2021 Full Review James Hanton Outtake Mag Caan and Hollander's chemistry cannot redeem this flawed foray into family love and trigger testing. Rated: 2 / 5 Jul 27, 2020 Full Review Katrina Olson katrinaolson.ca Holy Lands is an interesting film about a family with a lot of disfunction. There were parts that were funny, but overall it wasn't what I hoped it would be. Rated: 5.5/10 Jul 10, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
