So this is one of my fav places to go catch a movie other than my local theaters. But I will begin to look for something else. Simply for the fact that they have saltiest popcorn I've ever had a any movie theater. When I take he drive from the city all the way to this theater and order some popcorn the least I expect is some Good Theater Popcorn! It's super salty, and aside from salty it's almost stale tasting. I give them the two stars for their buffalo chicken tenders and their sweet potato fries. That's it. Their food quality is decreasing a bit. Nachos are not great. Yeah I'll be looking for a new theater to go see my movies at!!

What a train wreck of a theater. The chairs are absolutely terrible; squeaky, unbalanced, and worn down. My husband's chair was even worse as it sunk heavily to one side enough to send someone onto the floor. Maybe this theater wants a injury lawsuit to happen.
Once the movie got going the volume of the speakers were so ridiculously loud (and neither my husband nor I are sensitive to sound in anyway) that it was almost disorienting and had us covering our ears. Either they turned it down as time went on or we were just deafend to the noise.
Possibly the most annoying part of the night were the servers. No less than SIX times we were interrupted during the movie asking if such and such plate was ours. Then they'd pass in front of us to ask all along our row if it was someone else's--it never was.
Our server was also extremely inattentive. Never once did he stop by to ask how things were or if we needed something so it was great having to sit through a movie without the opportunity to ask for a refill (sure, we could have asked one of the many others that came looking for their plates lost owner but seeing as how they were struggling enough why bother?).
Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. What a waste of time and money. - 56717564294Apr 9, 2018
I came here with a tour group a while ago and really enjoyed looking at the museum area. The themed theaters are also a lot of fun, especially for fans of classic cinema. This place is always buzzing, but I wish that they would do more Golden Age Hollywood-related events here. They used to bring in some fantastic guests in the past, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Would love to see more 1930s-40s or Silent Era screenings offered here. I did take one star off because there is some disconnect between the Facebook page for this place and management. The representative responding on their FB page didn't communicate to management very much about my tour group, so I had to scramble a bit and talk to three employees before my promise of a tour was honored. It's already a headache to coordinate a major group outing and then to have it apparently come as a surprise to management when the time comes.

Cheap movie tickets. $6 for early movie or $8 for night. Cool place. Food is average. Had the chuck norris buffalo chicken. Chicken a lil tough. Soda pepsi was a lil syrupy almost flat. It has gotten better since I last went. So if you want a change of scenry and dont care food come here.

The food was good but the employees should have gotten my drink to my seat right away as soon as I ordered my food but it could be a bit better. It was good overall..

I'm so upset with this place. It has so much potential to do well, but it has let me down in every way imaginable.
My S/O and I went to see 'Get Out' today, 2/25/17 at 8:30PM. When we first arrived, it was 8:08 and we got our tickets from the cashier. We tried to enter the inner part of the theater but were turned away, because "our show started at 8:30 and they hadn't even seated the show for 8:15 yet." So we went to the bar. The surrounding area was unkempt. Wrappers, napkins, and other garbage coated the ground. There was a spill that looked like a creamy cocktail literally all over one table, the chair, and the ground. No one was cleaning it. Instead, employees gathered and joked with each other about how all of the shows are always running so behind schedule. I sat down at the bar with my beer. It actually stuck to the counter, it was so sticky.
Fast forward to 8:37 (our show was scheduled for 8:30). We are finally allowed in. It was a free-for-all in the line to get in. We got okay seats, but it was weird because they were pretty uncomfortable office chairs. The entire theater smelled like marijuana. A man took our order at 8:45, and we never saw him again (someone else delivered our food). When the show finally started at 9pm, I waited for the theater lights to go out. They never did. In fact, I read on the menu "please tip your waiter, it's difficult to serve in the dark!" Yeah, okay, understandable. But you aren't serving in the dark. It's bright, I paid $9 for the movie, and I can't even watch it properly. I watched the entire movie in the light with sounds coming in from other theaters next to ours. My food was cold, and I never got my water.
Needless to say, I will not be returning. I didn't pay $9(x2) admission, $7(x2)for a beer, and $10(x2) for cold food to have a miserable time. Next time, I'll stick to AMC. - Sep 6, 2015Updated review
After moving away a year ago we hardly ever go to movies anymore because we miss Hollywood Blvd! We came here all the time, with their great return passes and birthday passes, and their excellent theming and yummy food. There is no theatre in Colorado Springs remotely like this and we miss it so much!

Sep 19, 2012Previous reviewI am really excited because they updated their menu this week! They added some cool things like frozen coffee frappes, crepes, and new wraps. We ate dinner before we got there but each ordered a new dessert. The brownie was really good- no nuts- warm, with ice cream- we will definitely get it again. We also tried their new Reese Crepes- it came with two rolled crepes filled with peanut butter, drizzled with chocolate, with a side of ice cream and whipped cream. This was delicious but I found myself wishing there were chocolate chips inside to increase the chocolate quotient or even bananas would be amazing. This is definitely something you can share with another person. Both desserts were pretty difficult to eat with flimsy plastic spoons- I wish they had real silverware (and kind of thought they used to?) Anyway, great updates to the menu!
Our experience was still somewhat frustrating with two sets of people talking loudly throughout the movie- not just to the servers but to each other. It was so distracting. I don't know what it is about this place that makes people think they can do that.
I also still really appreciate the return passes Hollywood Blvd. gives you- it definitely makes us come back more often.Aug 21, 2010Previous reviewI love the IDEA of Hollywood Blvd. (I also like that I went on my first dates in high school at this theatre long before it was remodeled as Hollywood- nostalgia!) I think this place is totally cool- very unique and clever and a neat experience, but just not the best movie viewing experience.
I find it kind of stressful that you're in an open lobby where everyone is waiting for different movies and then when your movie is called (which seems to take forever for some reason) everyone rushes and pushes to get in first.
The movie prices are good- usually $8 per person, and if you go Sunday- Thursday they usually give you a buy one get one free coupon to come back one free one time in the next month. That is awesome. Right now as they are remodeling they reduced the price to $5 a ticket during the week (but with no coupon to come back). The rule is that you have to buy at least one thing from the menu per person.
The food is good, but your bill adds up really fast. It costs a lot to just get a Coke. It all comes out at different times- you may get your meal 20 minutes before your drink arrives. I think their menu is clever, with cute names of the menu items. I think the sweet potato fries here are the best anywhere! They top them with cinnamon and powdered sugar and they are nice and hot- delicious. The waffle cut fries are really good too but not very salted. I wasn't impressed by the Italian beef/French dip sandwich. The chicken caesar salad is actually delicious and very large. The Willy Wonka chocolate cake is really good too and nicely presented but I can never finish it.
You can see the screen well from almost wherever you sit. I think some of their chairs are getting old and may be broken. The chairs are big but sometimes recline too far to eat comfortably, and there is very little room around the chairs to move so you tend to bump into the people next to you. I can never figure out where to put my purse.
The last couple of times we went the service was much better. They were more attentive on refilling drinks which was nice. I just find it so distracting having servers walking up and down the aisles and trying to get behind my chair to help the people behind me. Sometimes I have to move my chair multiple times during a movie so the server can get through; I wish there was more room so I didn't have to be aware of that. If you sit on an aisle and are easily distracted you will have a hard time. We got there just a few minutes before the movie the last time we were there and had to sit in the second row on the floor. Looking at the screen took a little getting used to but it was much less distracting sitting here since I wasn't so aware of all the other action and people walking back and forth and passing food down the aisle.
I'd suggest you not see serious movies where you need to pay heavy attention here because they come back many times, and they seem to tend to bring you the check during the last 15 minutes of the movie where maybe it's when you're moved to tears or trying to catch an important plot point, which you could easily miss if interrupted. But if you're just seeing a funny movie without much plot, go for it.
I recommend you check out their website (www.atriptothemovies.com) and sign up for their emails because you can look at the menu and details beforehand and can also receive free passes and information about sneak previews and special events. A few years ago I got to go to a screening of a movie and Paul Reiser (the star and writer) was there and gave an interview afterwards- awesome opportunity! - Yara G.Melrose Park, IL041Apr 2, 2020
When I go in this place, I got nervous about going inside the Hollywood theater. When i got into the movie my family choosing, I saw tables, nothing like those other theaters that don't have table and menu this theater is. This cinema has thousands of foods and drinks in this place and they even have a menusem of many movies after the movie and before they leave. When i look outside, it looks like the flying car with a man crashed the theater..so funny, i think .the costumers order lots of food and drinks. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.

Overall the theater is pretty awesome, buttttt the services not so great, took the waiter a while to get to us and food took even longer, you get free refills with soda options- but good luck getting a refill- women's bathroom was dirty- and food was to salty and the taco meat on the nachos was horrible- made my stomach hurt-
