PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
Harmony Fire has given a cheeky sight under 10-pound claimer Ellis Wong for an easy front-running win in February and close second to Beauty Waves from gate 12 at this level. He reopposes better off at the weights and may never be headed from a better draw. The progressive Beauty Waves faces nearly identical company after an overdue win on his first start over the Valley 1,000m for his new trainer. He has since trialled nicely but will need to offset a tricky gate carrying more weight. Heroic Master has filled the frame in six of eight starts after a C&D win in October - including a closing third in that Beauty Waves race - and should map well from gate four. Happy United had his chance after a box-seat run on his last start and was in the mix in five prior C&D runs this term. He won't mind a wet track if the rain continues.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
HEROIC MASTER (G394) crowded on jumping - Race 538.
HAPPY UNITED (H208) bumped shortly after the start. After the race, rider could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance compared to its previous starts was considered to be disappointing. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 538.
SUPER FORTUNE (G065) raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 550.
YOUTHFUL SPIRITS (J082) approaching the 700M had to be restrained to avoid heels - Race 538.
