Police investigating shooting in Mountain View that left a man injured

The shooting occurred on Ocean View Boulevard near South 36th Street outside a liquor store around 11 p.m. after the man got into an argument with a group of men

Police are looking for a gunman after a 49-year-old man was shot following an argument outside a Mountain View liquor store late Saturday.

The shooting occurred on Ocean View Boulevard near South 36th Street about 11 p.m., San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.

After exiting the store, the victim got into an argument with a group of men, police said. He was shot at multiple times while driving away and was hit in the right shoulder by a bullet.

The victim drove to National City, where police were called. He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No descriptions of suspects were available.
