Don't miss Independence Hall-the room where it happened. Interesting history place and great area to visit. Must have a timed ticket. Plan for that.

This house is a masterpiece of beauty and fluidity. Our guide was knowledgeable and answered all questions. The details of the house were breathtaking

What an amazing experience to see the bell up close and personal. We happened to come at a time when the queue was not long. Got our backpacks scanned through security and went in. I enjoyed reading the different displays about the significance of the bell before getting to see it for my self. What a spectacular icon and reminder of all it stands for.

There's so much history here and it's amazing! My wife and I hadn't been to Independence Hall since we were kids, so we took a detour on a recent trip back to PA and visited these sites. Independence National Historical Park covers many historical attractions in Old City and we were lucky enough to visit several of them. We booked a tour of Independence Hall (via recreation.gov) and it was a lovely tour. Our guide was knowledgable and entertaining and it's so humbling to be standing where The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution were signed and adopted. It really gives you chills. We also got to see the Liberty Bell and tour Christ Church. One of the highlights was definitely visiting Christ Church Burial Ground and seeing Benjamin Franklin's grave and Benjamin Rush's grave. There's just so much to see here and you really can't do it all in a day. I highly recommend coming here if you're a lover of American history!

We were lucky enough to tour the park last year on a trip back home to PA as I had never been here despite growing up in PA. We stopped at the Visitor Center to grab a map and we did a self-guided driving tour, which allowed us to stop and see all of the sites in the park and go at our own pace. It's quite a large historical park and it was very interesting to learn more about what these people went through during the winter of 1777-1778. We got lucky and came on a beautiful day and it was wonderful to just walk around and learn history. We loved coming here and would recommend this park to anyone who loves American history!

It's interesting. We went to it because it was given good reviews. It was a quick tour. Lots of steps. Would I recommend it, no.

We very much enjoyed our holiday visit to see where Ike spent much of his "down" time during his presidency and his retirement.

When I was in Scranton I went to Boscov's for shopping. From the second floor of this mall I found a very nice bridge and a long ramp which end up in steam town. Very interesting way to go to this place.
There are two main parts for visiting in Steam town national historic site.Round house and Trolley museum. Round house is more attractive and free of charge. Trolley museum ticket for adult is 7 $ for adults. Lots of great photos , a 18 min movie and lots of thins to learn.
You can find some facilities in this site like restroom, small gift shop, free parking.
It takes less than two hours to see everything.there is an excursion trip option but its time didn't match with my schedule. If you use this train could be extended your essential time to more than three hours.

The oldest residential street in the United States is worth a visit for those interested in history. It gives you a good idea of how people lived in the early 1700s. It helps to have a guide or at least a good guide book during your visit.

We had a fantastic experience on the in-depth tour of Kentuck Knob with guide LuAnn, who gave one of the best historic house tours I've ever been on (that says a lot given how often I visit such sites). The property and her discussion of it was stimulating and very interesting, and I would call this a "must-see" for folks visiting the area. Combines well with Fallingwater, and is complimentary...rather than a duplication.

I have always loved old churches with vaulted ceilings. This did not disappoint. The gold, the details, the art, the sculptures, . . . just so inspiring.

We were fortunate enough to attend Mass here. The officiant was a gifted, insightful & inspiring speaker. Parts of the Mass, especially the music, were in Latin. That I didn't like. I felt disconnected from the service like I was part of an audience rather than a participant in the Eucharist.

We learned a lot about Mother Cabrini in the gift shop.

The bulletin confirmed they are a vibrant parish.

We live about 25 minutes away and have always wanted to visit but never got around to it. I’m so glad we finally did! Fonthill is such a unique place - equal parts weird, wonderful, mysterious and fascinating, it’s unlike any “home” you’ve ever been to (yes, it was the residence of one man, Henry Mercer). But the best part was our tour guide, Joe. He was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with patience and good humor. JUST GO - you’ll be glad you did. NOTE: This is not a tour for people that have mobility issues as there are many stairs involved.
