Keens Steakhouse owns the largest collection of churchwarden pipes in the world. The tradition of checking one’s pipe at the inn had its origins in 17th century Merrie Old England where travelers kept their clay at their favorite inn – the thin stemmed pipe being too fragile to be carried in purse or saddlebag. Pipe smoking was known since Elizabethan times to be beneficial for dissipating “evil homourse of the brain.” Keens's pipe tradition began in the early 20th century.

Sushi Nakazawa serves the omakase of Chef Daisuke Nakazawa. Within the twenty-course meal lies Chef Nakazawa’s passion for sushi. With ingredients sourced both domestically and internationally, the chef crafts a very special tasting menu within the style of Edomae sushi. Chef Nakazawa is a strong believer in the food he serves representing the waters he is surrounded by, so only the best and freshest find its way to your plate.

The relaxed dining experience at Sushi Nakazawa is chic nonetheless. High back leather chairs at the sushi bar coddle you while each course is explained in detail, and every nuance is revealed. Whether an Edomae novice or self-proclaimed sushi foodie, you will leave with a feeling of euphoria.

The premise for this new eatery “Tavola” (Table in Italian) is based on regional italian fare, mainly Puglian, Roman and Sicilian.

 Tavola was inspired by owner Nick Accardi’s extensive travels to these regions, especially the town of Castelvetrano, the source of 
Nick’s family roots. With the help of his relative chefs, Nick has secured quality regional ingredients, including single estate castelvetrano 
olives and extra virgin olive oil, which he exclusively imports and can be purchased at Tavola.

 Featuring two wood-burning ovens specially handcrafted in Naples, Italy using vesuvio volcanic clay. 
Having 2 ovens allows for the possibility to cook at more than one temperature. The Pizza oven burns at 900 degrees, 
while the other can operate at a second temperature for meats, fish and vegetables.

 Nick is joined in this venture by Chef De Cuisine Giancarlo Dellanzo and Mark Oram, a restaurant industry veteran for over 30 years, 
with whom he has had a business relationship in New York for over 11 years.

BEEF PHILOSOPHY

USDA Prime
Our beef is hand chosen by owner William Degel, who works directly with ranches in Nebraska & Omaha who raise the cattle to our exact specifications. Once received beef is perfectly aged on premise for 28-35 days, depending on size, for optimum flavor & moisture. We have aging boxes to control time, temperature & humidity in all of our locations so every piece of beef is perfect before it is cooked.




We cook all of our steaks in 1800-degree infrared broilers that provide a great char while searing in all the juices in the meat; steaks are then finished to desired temperatures and served with our natural au jus.




The United States Department of Agriculture Highest Beef Grade is Prime, which is the only grade we use at Uncle Jack's Steakhouse. Currently 2% of all US beef is graded at Prime. The grading comes from quality and content of intra-muscular fat.







Kobe Beef



Kobe beef refers to beef from the black Tajima-ushi breed of Wagyu cattle, raised according to strict tradition in Kobe, Japan. Kobe beef is renowned for its flavor, tenderness, and fatty well-marbled texture and flavor..

The massive increase in popularity of Kobe beef in the United Sates has led to the creation of "Kobe-style" beef, taken from domestically-raised Wagyu crossbred with Angus cattle, in order to meet the demand. Farms in America and Britain have attempted to replicate the Kobe traditions, providing their Wagyu herds beer and daily massages. U.S. meat producers claim that any differences between their less expensive "Kobe-style" beef and true Kobe beef are largely cosmetic. This 

has been brought into question, however, because the cattle are fed American and / or British grass and grain, which is different from the more expensive 

Japanese feed.
