Country Store at Three Forks is a convenience store that is located 4 miles outside of Hill City near Sheridan Lake.  The store offers gas, food, ice, as well as souvenirs.  Connected to the Country Store is the Country Inn.  The Country Inn offers a grill, bar and a casino.  Both of these places are open year around.

Desperados is well-loved by locals and tourists alike and it's been around for a few years. The building was originally the Von Woehrman Building and was built way back in 1885 - 4 years before South Dakota ever became a State! The building is on the National Registry and is listed as the oldest hand-hewn building in continuous use in South Dakota. It's been many-a-things over the years including a fly-fishin' shop, a book store, and for the past several years Desperados Restaurant.  Josh plan to keep much the same - you'll still see most of your favorite dishes on the menu including that lip-smackin' salmon sandwich! The Chute Roosters Restaurant is a Registered National Historic site of South Dakota.  What started as a lodge for the personnel of the Harney Peak Tin Mining Company in 1896, was converted to a barn after the last of the mining days of Hill City.  In 1971, Betty Matkins purchased the property and transformed the structure into a thriving restaurant that featured the best in dinning.  The Chute Roosters Restaurant and Lounge was "Dedicated to the Cowboy" and became the gathering locale for all people visiting and living in the hills.  The name "Chute Rooster" is a comical cowboy term to reference the rodeo wise-guy who sits on the chutes and knows how everything should be done.....and doesn't mind telling about it!
