Senior: I came to this school as a sophomore and it was one of the best choices I made. As a musically inclined student, I have never felt more accepted and encouraged since attending this school. This is the perfect place to send a student that feels they are struggling with fitting in and finding a community of like-minded artists. Senior: My overall experience with this school is not bad, but it could be better/there is for sure room to grow. The best parts about going to school here are the different kinds of friends I made, the different teachers I met, and the overall vibe of the atmosphere in the different classrooms. Also, everyone helps out one another when they get the chance. However, the worst parts (personally) is the "diversity" aspect of it, how extremely serious situations are handled by higher-ups/admin, and the communication between students, parents, teachers, higher-ups/admin, ect. Junior: I enjoyed some of the aspects of the school, however I wish the students were nicer. It was hard to get along with many of the students. I enjoyed having a dorm for the first time, but it wasn’t anything to call home about. I was lucky enough to have my own dorm, because they weren’t the biggest. I’ve really enjoyed my humanities class this year. My teacher (Phineas) is one of the best teachers if not the best teacher I’ve ever had. Some of the teachers however, weren’t so nice. Senior: I got to Cleveland School Of The Arts my sophomore year. The school was bright and very fun, Sophomore year was my freshman year since COVID happened and my freshman year got taken away from me being at Cleveland School Of The Arts brought me up and gave me the experience to act. My major here at CSA was theater and it got me out of my comfort zone and I made a new surrounding of friends who love and support me and watched me grow. Now that I am a senior and I am always done being here I realize the lack of communication with admin but they are pushing to have more communication with us all. The teachers are wonderful and helps us understand very well. I am more involved now that it is my senior year and I can see how difficult it is with activities and keeping them going. Sophomore: I’ve been at Stivers School for the Arts since my 7th grade year I am now a Sophomore going to be a Junior. The teachers at my school are very supportive in about everything the students do including sports and clubs. The security guards are very helpful and kind when it comes to the students. Academics at my school are very engaging, Stivers offers 17 AP courses and Honors classes and I am on the honors course since 7th grade and i’m taking 4 AP classes going into my junior year and also going to take college classes during my summer. Stivers is an amazing facility for nurturing students creativity and arts. My school is a magnet school we offer 8 magnets and 3 CTE classes. Parent: Our family has been at Hershey for 12 years now - this school is so much more than a school for us, it's a community and a family. Our boys have thrived at Hershey -- the guides (teachers) are amazing teachers and mentors to the students; the campuses are beautiful, and the education superb. This is a true, authentic Montessori school, where each child is met where they are, and each child is treated with respect and as a unique individual. Parent: My daughter Joelle is attending Spire Academy for the new Womens Wrestling program and excellent Academics. This school has gone above and beyond to help her feel welcome and comfortable. We have had a great experience starting with admissions and all staff who helped guide us through the financial process. Joelle enjoys her wrestling teammates, coaches and trainers who have helped with specific protocol recovery from a doctor for her sport. The teachers are great at communicating with parents regarding grades, and Joelle loves the learning style, and the environment has her pushing herself harder than before for better grades.... Senior: The vast majority of all staff are very friendly and do truly care about the students. While I personally have never had a bad experience with any of the teacher, but I know of many who have had teacher who don’t put in as much effort has others. My biggest complaint would be the way in which some situations are handled. There have been times where a serious event has occurred and the responses to it have been bad. There have also been issues with some of the technology being provided to students simply not working well enough to well service them and their academics. Senior: I've experienced this school as a lover of the arts and a queer individual. The school has been far better than anywhere else around me for a person like myself. The queer acceptance is amazing and the overall activism of the school for many causes is great. The arts programs are not the best, but they are very good. The school is filled with artwork and color. However, this mostly comes from passionate students and some teachers, most of the administration seems to care little about the mental health or worries of the student body. My complaints have been ignored and shut down many times. However, the students here are strong, and have even held walkouts and protested against this for what they believe in. Junior: The Delaware Area Career Center is one of the best schools I have ever attended. Not only are the staff extremely helpful, but it prepares you for college and offers many different ways to work and study. Academics are much easier and more student based than my old school, and lunch comes in larger portions which are healthier for our growing bodies. I love the space where each of us can learn, as well as the awarding process of all we do. There are so many different programs and every program has a wide variety of different students. I have met some of my best friends here and I feel more ready than ever for college. The building is very nice, as well as the lunchroom and parking lots. I would never choose a better school.... Senior: I have heard about D. Russel Lee (Or known now as Butler Tech) For most years of my life because my parents have went there when they were my age. From Lab choices you could choose for your future goal, to easy studying classes, it was more than enjoyable to be at butler tech. I'm studying the Graphic design career path due to my interest in drawing. All the teacher there are super nice and are very patient with you. They also have good tasting food there too! The counselors are great too. They keep track of you grades, and whenever you are failing a class, they will help you get your grade up to a passing point. Due to Butler Tech being a combination of different schools around Ohio, their grading scale feels a little different than most homeschools. They feel more easier to get an A than you think.... Niche User: It was amazing to me. There were more diverse students there than any other school where I experienced. The school may not had sports or music programs, however, they do lots of art programs and sometimes theater. The teachers were so good to me and treated me very well and that's when I learned that I was safe there. It was like another home to me. Senior: I first attended Oyler School in 6th grade. I am now graduating in May of 2024. My overall experience was good. It was definitely NOT the best but it also was not near the worse. It is mostly diverse, there are a ton of things to help out everyone such as a nurses office, dentist, as well as a vision center, and even a daycare. There are some fights which is typical. The teachers are so kind and want the best for you. Sometimes you get yelled at for little things. I would recommend this school if you are in high school.
