HIBBING: One Dead After Fatal Car Accident on Highway 169

HIBBING, Minn. — One person is dead after a fatal car accident Thursday night on Highway 169 in Hibbing.

According to Minnesota State Patrol, a 2022 International Straight Truck was traveling East on Grace Road across the Southbound lanes of Highway 169.

A 2007 Toyota Prius was traveling South on Highway 169 when it came into contact with the straight truck. Vehicles came to rest in the left lane of Highway 169.

The lone person in the Prius, a 54-year-old Hibbing woman, died in the crash. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Cause of the accident not yet released.
