After three years of keeping mum, Minnie Driver has finally revealed the father of her son, Henry Story Driver.
The 42-year-old actress told the British publication The Observer that the man in question is a writer from Driver’s former TV series, The Riches, though she neglected to disclose his full name. Driver explained that she previously kept his identity quiet out of respect for his privacy, but said, “I don’t need to protect him anymore. He can fend for himself. He’s a grown-up.”

“We weren’t together and he wasn’t directly in the business, so I chose to protect him and not have a rain of publicity,” she continued. The duo previously worked together between 2007 and 2008, while Driver starred opposite Eddie Izzard on the program.
Public interest in the mystery man’s identity certainly increased in the days following Driver’s statements, with Yahoo! reporting a high level of search engine queries for both the actress’ name, as well as the phrase: “Minnie Driver Son’s Father.”
Regardless of media pickup, Driver insisted that the news wasn’t a “big story” since Henry’s biological father “is not famous.” He is, however, attempting to become more involved in his son’s life.
“Is he a good dad? Sort of. He’s figuring it out,” Driver admitted. “I mean, he hasn’t been that involved – his choice. But he is now.”
Driver currently appears in a recurring role opposite Lisa Kudrow on Web Therapy and most recently starred in the Irish drama Hunky Dory.
