Because they will be adding a second star to their shirt in recognition of twenty titles. That is not all, the club is also making plans to build their own stadium in the nearest future after the club Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello admitted that the ongoing new stadium situation is “a disappointment” for the Nerazzurri.

With regards to the stadium plan, the club is close to extending their exclusive agreement with the commune of Rozzano regarding land for a new stadium, according to a report from Tuttosport. At the moment, Inter have an exclusive right to pre-empt other buyers for a piece of land in the commune of Rozzano.

That agreement is for land in which the Nerazzurri are considering building a new stadium,Rozzano is certainly the area that Inter have settled on to potentially build a stadium. Having seen plans to replace the San Siro with AC Milan fall through, the two clubs went their separate ways. The Rossoneri in San Donato, and the Nerazzurri in Rozzano.

Milan have already purchased the land in San Donato in which they intend to build a new stadium.Inter have not yet done so. However, they have presented their plans to the commune formally. Inter have been working on a feasibility study for the use of the land in Rozzano to construct a new stadium. However, in the meantime, there have been other distractions.

These have included the possibility that Inter and Milan could very well stay at the San Siro after all. That is what Milan Mayor Beppe Sala hopes that the clubs will do. The Mayor is pushing for the idea of renovating the iconic stadium so that it meets the clubs’ needs. And Inter’s exclusive agreement regarding the land in Rozzano runs out this month.

But that shouldn’t be a problem, according to a separate report from Tuttosport. The Nerazzurri are set to agree an extension of that deadline. The club will have until the end of December to make progress on a feasibility study and construction plans per the updated agreement. That is not all, there is the issue of the loan that the club owners, Suning took from US investment company, Oaktree.

For months, there has been uncertainty about how Suning will move forward with regards to their debt to Oaktree. The due date for the loan that Suning took on in 2021 is now just a month away.On May 20th, the Inter owners must repay the €385 million they owe to Oaktree – €275 million plus interest. Should they default, control of their shares in the club would pass into the hands of the US-based fund.

But now, Suning have found a solution to remain at the helm. The Nerazzurri owners are in talks with a few funds regarding a new loan that would allow them to pay back the entire debt that they owe to Oaktree. This would allow Suning to keep their controlling shares in Inter. And it would see Nerazzurri President Steven Zhang remain in charge at the club.

Meanwhile…

Former Inter president Massimo Moratti opened up about the qualities of Simone Inzaghi, comparing him to a legendary former Inter coach ahead of the Scudetto victory, with current president, Steven Zhang reportedly to see the Scudetto secured in the derby, giving his side bragging rights over Milan.

Speaking to Corriere della Sera in a recent interview, Moratti first compared Inzaghi to legendary former Inter coach Helenio Herrera. “The beautiful game is the main characteristic. Very pleasant to watch, at times they remind me of Herrera’s Inter. I considered Herrera’s entirely vertical game wonderful in some ways, but this Inter with a system that is certainly different, modern if we want, expresses it best.”

He touched on how the Nerazzurri have transformed since their Champions League final loss to Manchester City. “After the Champions League final, it was clear, I was more convinced that a prestigious goal could be achieved, such as the second star, but perhaps out of superstition or prudence I didn’t want to be so sure. But from the first matches we understood the true dimension of this Inter.”

The former Inter president spoke highly about Inzaghi. “He is a great worker, he also has an important quality, he is never satisfied, he is meticulous in finding the best solution for the team. I was surprised by his gift for enhancing the group and always giving the right motivation.” Moratti was asked if Milan’s recent Scudetto success was a ‘gift’ from Inter. “I’m sure.”

He suggested that winning the Scudetto against Milan wasn’t of particular concern.“The second star just needs to arrive, I wouldn’t have a problem with having to win it in the derby. The match against Milan is another thing, winning it is important, because it’s not a match like the others.” Finally, Moratti gave his rating for Inzaghi’s Inter. “Well, the second star goes with the 10, this is the rating.” He further added.
