About Oxford Brookes University, Headington Campus
Oxford Brookes is one of the UK’s leading modern universities and enjoys an international reputation for teaching excellence and innovation as well as strong links with business and industry.
Starting out as the Oxford School of Art in 1865 – a small school of art in borrowed teaching rooms – Oxford Brookes has grown into one of the UK’s top modern universities with a thriving community of staff and students.
Today the university occupies a 25-acre site in Headington, to the east of the historic Oxford city centre – the Headington Campus. The university maintains a campus in nearby Marston Road, as well as 3 campuses further afield in Wheatley, Harcourt Hill and Swindon.
The university has a departmental structure and puts academic values at the heart of decision-making, provides clarity at subject level and helps inter-disciplinary research, academic development and knowledge transfer.
