As Donny van de Beek and Hannibal Mejbri fall out of favour at Eintracht Frankfurt and Sevilla respectively, and with Alvaro Fernandez not really making his mark at Benfica, at least another of the players who left Manchester United on loan in January will return to Carrington with some valuable minutes under his belt.
The Red Devils-owned forward started again during his side’s 2-0 win last weekend. Their first three points since the start of January.
In fact, since leaving Manchester United and returning to Spain with Granada, one-time Alaves starlet Facundo Pellistri has completed the full 90 minutes in five of the last seven games.
He is averaging a goal or an assist every three games too – not bad for a Granada side doomed to relegation – while that stellar display against Barcelona will not have gone unnoticed amongst the clubs circling around the Uruguay international ahead of what is likely to be a summer of multiple outgoings at Old Trafford.
Facundo Pellistri may leave Manchester United again
According to reports from South America, Pellistri has been lined up for a return across the Atlantic. Argentine giants Boca Juniors want the former Penarol whizzkid. Pellistri, if he does head to La Bombonera, could be reunited with one Edinson Cavani.
Boca Noticias reports that Juan Roman Riquelme – the Albiceleste icon and now Boca Juniors president – wants Pellistri to partner the veteran frontman in attack, perhaps in the hope that the winger’s pace and work-rate will make him the perfect foil for a now-37-year-old Cavani.
Boca, the publication adds, would look take Pellistri on another loan rather than pursue a permanent transfer. It remains to be seen how Man United feel about that. Pellistri’s camp, meanwhile, have indicated that there is unlikely to be much of a future for the 22-year-old in England’s north west if Erik ten Hag remains at the helm.

Ten Hag started Pellistri in only one Premier League game during the first half of this season, after all, despite the absences of Antony and Jadon Sancho.
Agent opens door to Old Trafford exit
“Whether he returns to Manchester in the middle of the year will depend on the performance he shows (at Granada). If Ten Hag continues, it’s going to be difficult,” Edgardo Lasalvia, Pellistri’s agent, told Sport 890.
“(Ten Hag) hasn’t used him, valued him, or treated him like a professional.”
Lasalvia also refused to rule out the prospect of a fresh start at Boca Juniors. In fact, he sounded positively delighted about the idea.
“If Boca shows formal interest, I am going to make the negotiations so that this (move) can happen,” the representative added. “I believe that Boca can greatly enhance Facu, and vice versa.”
