A future Yankees captain?
Derek Jeter announced on Twitter Monday that he and his wife, Hannah, welcomed a son into the world on Friday.
Jeter captioned the post, “Welcome to the world lil man!!” while tagging Hannah.
He also shared an image of the name “Kaius Green Jeter” and the date “5-5-23.”
The couple, which mainly keeps their relationship private, had not previously announced that Hannah was pregnant.
Derek, 48, and Hannah, 33, previously had three daughters: Bella Raine, 5, Story Grey, 4, and River Rose, 1.
Jeter updated his Instagram bio and it now reads, “Sleep-deprived father of four.”
Jeter has posted plenty of fun moments with his kids on Instagram since he joined social media a year ago.
That included one photo of Jeter getting his nails done by Bella and Story with the caption, “HELP!!!”
“The mornings are early … getting them up, they’re not in school right now, but dropping them off at school, picking them up. Tennis lessons, ballet lessons, you know,” Jeter told Extra last year.
“I’m getting my nails painted and makeup on my face, dresses. So there’s a whole other side to me.”
Jeter was the face of the Yankees dynasty from the late ’90s to early 2000s, leading the franchise to five World Series titles.
“They know that I played for the Yankees,” Jeter said of his daughters. “They see me on TV. They recognize me, especially during this documentary. But other than that, they have no idea and I like it that way.”
He famously dated a string of actresses and models during his time in pinstripes, including Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Tyra Banks and Minka Kelly.
Jeter and model Hannah Davis then began dating in 2012 and were married in 2016.
Jeter founded The Players’ Tribune website in 2014 and was a part of the group that purchased the Marlins in 2017, becoming the team’s CEO.
Jeter stepped away from his role with the team in 2022 and joined Fox Sports as an MLB analyst in February.
