Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- QuenastoiseCornwall, UK112 contributionsIf you’re into running, apparently Bushy is a place of worship, as the first park run took place here some 20 years ago. It is indeed a lovely flat gravelly/grassy track where a PB could be a definite possibility. Coming from London on the train, the easiest way to access it seems to be the train from Waterloo to Teddington station followed by a 10 minute walk to the start. No signposting inside the park but the run starts by the toilet block. Some 1400 runners took place when we visited, the start of the race looked like a battle scene from Braveheart. Plenty of happy runners at the finishing line !Written 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Peter CTwickenham, UK3 contributionsA wonderful pool open all year round. Perfect but worryingly busy with Covid advancing. 52 swimmers is too many. Max 6 per lane imo. 36 in total.Written 23 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- paul hLondon, UK77 contributionsThe Roebuck gets full marks for quirkiness .. . and probably the world's largest collection of fishing rods attached to its ceiling.
The walls are covered in all kinds of memorabilia: cigarette cards, regimental cap badges, foreign banknotes, coins, hats, etc.
There are Airfix model planes and submarines, and a couple of bizarrely incongruous American Indian carvings.
You won't get bored. (My personal favourite is the sombrero).
And if it's a warm evening, the tiny but beautiful garden at the back is a joy to sit in.
The beer is reasonably priced, the welcome is warm, you can get there on a 285 or an R68, and if you feel you want to stay the night, they do b&b.
There are no tv screens or one-armed bandits here.
Don't miss it!
