About the Author
Theodor Seuss Geisel – better known to millions of his fans as Dr. Seuss – was born the son of a park superintendent in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1904. After studying at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, and later at Oxford University in England, he became a magazine humorist and cartoonist, and an advertising man. He soon turned his many talents to writing children's books, and his first book – And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street – was published in 1937. About the authors
Theodor Seuss Geisel—aka Dr. Seuss—is one of the most beloved children’s book authors of all time. From The Cat in the Hat to Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, his iconic characters, stories, and art style have been a lasting influence on generations of children and adults. The books he wrote and illustrated under the name Dr. Seuss (and others that he wrote but did not illustrate, including some under the pseudonyms Theo. LeSieg and Rosetta Stone) have been translated into 45 languages. Hundreds of millions of copies have found their way into homes and hearts around the world. Dr. Seuss’s long list of awards includes Caldecott Honors, the Pulitzer Prize, and eight honorary doctorates. Works based on his original stories have won three Oscars, three Emmys, three Grammys, and a Peabody.
New Jersey native and "constant scribbler" Aristides ("Art") Ruiz has illustrated 100+ books with over 60 Dr. Seuss titles including projects for GREEN EGGS & HAM, HORTON, THE GRINCH, and THE CAT IN THE HAT.
He is the illustrator of The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library books since 1998 with 40+ titles (and counting) thus far in the series.
A versatile artist, he divides his time between illustrating for Seuss and fine art painting because... well,.. he's a scribbler. He's constantly scribbling...like a lot.

So I will eat them in a box. And I will eat them with a fox.
And I will eat them in a house. And I will eat them with a mouse.
And I will eat them here and there. Say! I will eat them ANYWHERE!
