12/21/92-02/11/2023 It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Officer Olivia Zick, 30, of Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday, February 11th, 2023. Olivia was born on December 21, 1992 and raised in Kingsley, PA She was the daughter of Carol Manning Zick and the late James William Zick. Olivia was a 2011 graduate of Mountain View Jr/Sr High School. Upon her high school graduation, she made the exciting decision to move to Cincinnati for college. She was a 2015 graduate from Xavier University. She loved her time in Cincinnati and called it home. Olivia lived a life of service. She was always willing to help others. In 2016, on her birthday, she became an altruistic kidney donor. Her donation triggered a domino of donations and transplants. This feeling of helping others is what made Olivia want to become a police officer. Continuing her dedication to service, in June of 2020, Olivia graduated from the city of Cincinnati police department academy. She loved being a police officer. She was so proud to represent the city of Cincinnati. Olivia received multiple commendations; including one Chief’s Commendation for exemplary behavior during a hostage situation and a second for assisting a mentally ill patient to safety while on a dangerous section of highway, a Patrol Bureau Commendation for her excellence to duty during a traffic enforcement blitz, as well as several for assistance with citizens in medical distress and excellence in investigations. She always looked forward to her many trips she made back home to the family farm. Olivia will always be remembered for her sense of humor, her contagious smile and her love of dressing-up like a TRex. Olivia will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her eight nieces and nephews, who all just adored her. She is survived by her loving mother, Carol; five siblings: brother and sister-in-law Brandon and Erin Zick (Teddy and Will) Edwardsburg, MI; brother and sister-in-law Bristol and Diana Zick (Addison and Calvin) of Norristown, PA; brother and sister-in-law Jeffrey and Ellen Zick (Elliot, Wyatt and Murphee) of Woodhull, NY; sister and brother-in-law Bridget Zick Sherring and Benjamin (Jax) of Kingsley, PA; and sister and brother-in-law Christina Zick Dumitrov and Bogdan of Hartford, CT. She is also survived by her dearest friend, Melissa Jones, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, James William Zick, paternal grandparents William and Elizabeth Zick, and maternal grandparents Kenneth and Louise Manning.
