Platinum elite member and I always am given a small corner room or a room overlooking air ducts...front desk staff are quite variable in their professionalism and must have instructions to place single women in the worst rooms available. As a frequent guest o Marriott properties it is hard to believe that this is the best room they could find for me...I did book two weeks in advance. I have been told that a room is not ready only to have a business man right next to me obtain a room. Coincidence? In addition the room I am in tonight has furnishings worthy of a thrift shop, desk chair is sagging, dirty and all the furniture is old and grotty. The green velour chair is quite frightening. On a positive note the concierge staff is always pleasant and professional to all customers. This property needs a complete overhaul and should start with the front desk staff.

Room tip: Could not even begin to guess what algorithm is used to give a "good room" Being a Platinum Elite member obviously does not cut it.

Dear Platinum Elite Member,

Please let me extend my sincerest apologies for your recent experience at our hotel and the perception that you were singled out for a smaller room. Due to the hotel’s high volume of elite members, the staff tries to provide as many upgraded rooms as possible. Clearly, your status was not recognized upon check-in as we were not been able to provide an upgrade. If you would be so kind as to call or send me your elite number I would like to ensure this experience is not replicated in the future. Please call 310-337-2800 and ask to speak with Michael Wlodkowski. I am pleased to hear that the concierge service was a high point during your stay and I can only hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel and provide the level of service that we take great pride in.

I've been to this hotel countless times over the years based on the quality of the hotel, the amenities, service levels, cleanliness and location.

The experience is predictably excellent and that reputation was enforce again as I stay here prior to an early morning flight out.

The shuttle to/from the airport runs about every 15/20 mins during peak hours and 30 during other times.

Walking distance to Budget, Avis, and Hertz makes dropping your car off a breeze after you check-in.

Room tip: High floors are always better and rooms facing away from the airport are quieter. They have a great Concierge Lounge if you can get access.

Super clean, friendly staff, well appointed rooms. Highway robbery to park, but that apparently is situation normal in Southern California. Just realize that you could literally walk across the street every morning, rent a new car at Avis and turn it in every night for less $ than it will cost you to park it in the hotel garage. And don't wait til late in the day to park it or there is a very good chance it will be full. Good food in the hotel and the shuttle service is extremely convenient.

Room tip: Do not select end rooms between hallways.

Recently stayed at this hotel during a long LAX layover returning from Bora Bora. Location is very convenient to the airport and they have a shuttle that runs every 20 min or so. Ate in the lobby restaurant 95th café. Nice menu, good service and good food.

Staff was very friendly and helpful at check in. Did a nice job.

Close to Manhattan Beach and other attractions if you want to venture out and kill some time. All in all this is a nice clean hotel at a reasonable price point.

Hotel is right outside the airport on the same road as Avis rental cars. Extremely convenient access to Highways 105, 405 Sepulveda BLVD 1 . 10 Minutes from the beach. 15 Mins from downtown via the 110. Room was clean. Bathroom was nice. Good water pressure. Bed was comfortable. I had to play around with the AC to get it to go really cold. TV worked well. Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. Parking in back was typical for CA. Expensive at $26 dollars a day. Considering I only paid $12 a day for the rental car. Would definitely stay there again. Great view of the airport and lots of ingoing and outgoing aircraft. Zero airplane noise in the room. Room rate was Awesome.

Room tip: I was on seven with a view of the airport. It was nice.
