Biography
The first album, entitled 6 Feet Deep, did quite well, but many people were shocked by the group's "Horrorcore" lyrics and talk of death, violence and other horror-centered lyrics. Their music videos received very little rotation, and MTV even went as far to ban the video to the single Diary of a Madman.
After the release of their first two albums, they were set to release a third, but tragedy occured in April of 1999 when Poetic was diagnosed with deadly colon cancer and was given an estimated three months to live. He and friends helped to fight the disease, members of the Gravediggaz and many other artists held concerts and other things to help fund his expensive medical treatment. On Sunday, July 15, 2001 Poetic passed away. He lived nearly two years longer than expected.
