New X-Men Omnibus (New X-Men (2001-2004)) Kindle & comiXology
Grant Morrison’s wildly innovative X-Men saga returns! The X-Men, re-imagined with a new look and a new mission, must face weird new threats including evil twins, organ harvesters, sentient bacteria, rebellious mutant youth, power-enhancing street drugs and living weapons! Joined by wicked telepath Emma Frost and mysterious powerhouse Xorn, the X-Men go public — expanding Xavier’s school to train a new generation of mutants including the insect-like Angel, the bird-boy Beak, the living sandstorm Dust and eerie telepathic quintuplets the Stepford Cuckoos. And as secondary mutations alter familiar mutants, the team is tested when Emma Frost sets her seductive sights on Cyclops, the all-consuming Phoenix threatens to rise again, and shocking traitors plot the destruction of everything the X-Men have accomplished! Featuring the Shi’ar Imperial Guard, the X-Corporation, Fantomex and more!

The physical book itself is stunning. Presented in an oversized, coffee-table format allows the comics to be reprinted larger than their originals. The enlargement really allows the reader to concentrate on Frank Quietly's distinctive illustrations and lends itself as a superb guide for aspiring artists.
Overall, Marvel has done an excellent job with their Omnibus books, and this one is no exception. If you can find it for under $100 and are in the market for an excellent read, this is the book for you.
This collection also opens the Morrison Manifesto, his blueprint for the four years he would be writer. As well as the script for the first story.
Grant Morrison brought to the XMen the same mania he bought to such DC titles as : Doom Patrol, Book 1: Crawling From the Wreckage , The Animal Man Omnibus and his creator owned The Invisibles Omnibus .
He crafted some very good heroes ( Beak, The Stepford Cuckoos), Villains(Cassandra Nova, John Sublime) and got the team out of Spandex for 4 years and it's cool that that concept spilled over into other Xbooks.
This collecttion features a sewn binding which means it should stand up to multiple readings
Having said that, the book is well assembled and easily stays open to the page you are reading without wearing out the spine.
Grant Morrison and company deliver an excellent X-tale that will please fans of the author, artists, and characters alike. X-Men fans who are catching up with current continuity will find this book as good a place to start as any, as many of the events of this run have had a lasting effect on the x-universe.
Compared to buying all the seven or eight volumes of this story individually this book is a steal.
I bought the hardback version, there’s no flaws from what I’ve seen, it’s a beautiful looking book, but it is heavy and thick so marathon reading might be a bit uncomfortable.
Overall a must read for X-Men fans
