The Quiet American was made into a film too though, a slightly better one

I think the greatest honor an author receives is to have his/her work read. I learnt of "The End of the Affair" from Hollywood. Same for "The Quiet American". Now I am reading "The Heart of the Matter" that I discovered the author.

I've added May We Borrow Your Husband? and other comedies of the sexual life. It's not really a full length novel, but one of the stories is a novella, which is why I added it....

The Quiet American was filmed twice. GG hated the first version, I'm thinking he'd have liked the 2001 Philip Noyce directed version which stays very close to the novel.
