Grace Amerling recently made waves with The Bachelor fans after revealing that she was the woman who got in the way of Matt James' reunion with Rachael Kirkconnell. After an explosive Instagram Live with Reality Steve, Grace has become a central figure in Matt and Rachael's second breakup. However, not many people know much about Grace since she was never on the show.
After reports broke that Rachael's New York City reunion with Matt fell completely apart, the fans were surprised to learn that Matt had been talking to another woman at the time. That woman was revealed to be Grace, who reached out to Reality Steve after reading news that Rachael and Matt were back together. Grace and Matt had a brief romantic relationship last spring, which is when she was hanging out with Matt and Tyler Cameron in Florida. The two went out on a few dates, and then Matt was cast as The Bachelor. Matt asked Grace to come on the show as a contestant, but she declined. Grace was shocked when Matt texted her the day before Rachael arrived in New York, asking her to spend the night with him.
After declining to hang out with Matt James that night, Grace Amerling saw pictures and reports indicating that he and Rachael Kirkconnell were still together. She didn't hang out with him that night but saw pictures of Rachael and Matt together the next day. Professionally, Grace is an equestrian who resides in New York. She currently rides horses for a company based out of Salem, New York, per her LinkedIn. Grace has been riding horses for a long time and was on the equestrian team during high school and college. She attended Savannah College of Art and Design where she studied advertising. After graduating in 2019, Grace decided to pursue horse-riding as a career instead. Grace had strong opinions about Matt allegedly leading on Rachael when she spoke to Reality Steve on IG Live. "Rachael is the real victim here," she told him. Grace said that Matt went on The Bachelor for fame, and that Rachael deserves someone better. "It just didn't sit right with me," she explained, referring to Matt texting her, "For him to be trying to contact me and hang out with me, someone he's had romantic relationships with, two days prior in Miami. I felt like I had to say something for Rachael's sake." Reality Steve was able to put Grace in touch with Rachael.
Grace's revelations have many The Bachelor fans questioning whether Matt was the right choice to lead the show. After a rollercoaster of a season, the show isn't in the best place with its fans or the press. Rachael and Matt's falling out is just the latest setback for the show's reputation. Hopefully, Grace and Rachael can both find themselves in better relationships in the future.
