What Will Happen in Gossip Girl Season 2?

Gossip Girl Season 2 will pick up from the jaw-dropping events of Season 1, which ended with Julian entering into a partnership with Gossip Girl.

Not every tip Julian plans to send to Gossip Girl is necessarily true, but Gossip Girl will have to post them all. This means JC can act as a savior in the real world, trying to put an end to Gossip Girl and find out her true identity.

Little does Julian know, Gossip Girl's account is being run by Constance Billard's teacher, Kate Keller (Tavi Gevinson).

Just how exactly Julian and Gossip Girl's partnership is going to work remains unknown for now, but it's a risky move and if it all goes wrong, things are set to explode.

Season 2 is set to explore in greater depth Audrey's (Emily Alyn Lind), Max's (Thomas Doherty), and Aki's (Evan Mock) polyamorous relationship as well as Monet's (Savannah Lee Smith) plans to become Queen B.

Speaking to Newsweek, showrunner Joshua Safran teased: "We're going to go into even more deeper places than it has gone before" in Season 2.

Safran, who worked on the original series that aired between 2007 and 2012, teased to Teen Vogue that in Season 2 of the Gossip Girl reboot, fans can expect to see more of the stuff they loved in the original series.

He explained: "I always knew that if we got to a Season 2, the characters themselves, now that they have been manipulated by Gossip Girl for a full season, would start to play into Gossip Girl's hand.

"That would be the place for us to go back to doing that stuff that the first show did so well because we would've, A) established ourselves as our own entity, but, B) if you're a group of teenagers and Gossip Girl is screwing with you, it took a while for Blair and Serena even to fall into... they weren't pushing each other into the Seine or into fountains early. That was because Gossip Girl's influence gets to you so much that it amps you up, and that's season two...There are catfights, and people get pushed into a fountain."

Who Will Star in Gossip Girl Season 2?

All of the cast from Season 1 of HBO Max's Gossip Girl are back for Season 2.

This means Jordan Alexander is back as Julien, Whitney Peak as Zoya, Eli Brown as Obie, Emily Alyn Lind as Audrey, Thomas Doherty as Max, Evan Mock as Aki, Savannah Lee Smith as Monet, and Zion Moreno as Luna.
