Almost Perfect- Just missing 1 thing
This app does what it basically says in the tin: to experience the world in an advanced way. But there is only 1 thing that is missing, which would make this app perfect.
That thing is to include a Flight Simulator which is present in the Desktop Version, and nowhere else at the moment. It doesn’t have to be fancy or have any Multiplayer. If it at least resembles the Desktop Version, this app can be brilliant.
Some street views well out of date
I use this app a lot when we want to check out, say, a holiday property to rent or to check what a route looks like, how to recognise turnings etc. and whilst the satellite view is up to date, the street view in some cases is well out. Trouble is, there is no indication of how old a street view is, so you don’t know whether it is accurate or not.
Satellite views can be obtained from any number of apps, it is the street view that is so useful with this one, but having discovered how patchy the updates are, I have lost confidence in it.
Come on Google, at least have the decency to put a proper date in the street views, so we know how accurate they are likely to be!
Street View is now fixed!
Every time I try to hold a blue line it keeps saying “No Street View available here.” even though I’m holding directly on a blue line. I tried deleting and redownloading but to no avail. Clearly it’s a bug. The developers should fix this and if not then no one will use this app. SORT IT OUT IT’S PI$$ING ME OFF I WANNA SEE THE STREET VIEW BUT IT WON’T LET ME! FIX THIS, NOW!!!!!!
Edit: OMG it’s working again thanks so much Google! I didn’t mean to shout at you I was just desperate to look at the street view. Thank you so much! :D
Developer Response ,
Thank you for helping us discover this issue. You are absolutely correct that Streetview was down for several hours on January 15th. We are now happy to inform you that the Streetview imagery has been almost entirely restored. Please feel free to come back and update your review to let us know if Streetview is now working for you. Thanks again!
