    《The Flower Duet》（花之二重唱）的正名是《Sous le dôme épais》，始於Léo Delibes（德利伯1836-1891）的歌劇《Lakmé》（拉克美）第一幕中，被讚譽為歌劇史上最美的詠嘆調與女聲二重唱。

    它應是出現在電影或廣告的幕後配樂之中的次數最多的歌劇詠嘆調了吧？有關它的介紹卻很少。前幾天，曾經看到它出現在“古墓奇兵Ⅱ風起雲湧”之中；網路上有人做過統計：曾經引用此曲為配樂的影片，好像還有《The Hunger》（千年血后）、《I've Heard Mermaids Singing》（去聽美人魚唱歌）、《Return》（超人再起）、……，美國影集《The L Word》以及一些廣告。

    《Lakmé》（拉克美）的故事是說一個印度祭司的女兒“Lakme” 愛上了英國軍官，是一個東方與西方的異國愛情故事，卻是以悲劇來結束的。 歌詞頗令人有想像空間，是Lakme與她的女僕Mallika在賞花時唱的，有人認為是在詮釋女同志情慾，您說呢？

    這裡放的是Jennifier Larmore和Hei-Kyung Hong唱的版本，我曾在另一篇文裡放著Charlotte Church（夏綠蒂）唱的”新古典”版本，可以比較一下。

    The Rapsody & LL Cool J interpolated the song on their version, "Dear Mallika".
    In 1998, Jonathan Peters released a dance remix of the duet that became popular in the "circuit party" scene.

    Yanni (雅尼)常常以鋼琴、合成樂器、樂團等等大編制的方式,
    來表現他自己創作的樂曲,
    有人說他的作品超越了Mozart~~是不是太言過其實啦?!
    至於在他的CD或是video中所稱為”Aria”的那首,
    應該是拿”花之二重唱”來改編~~再加上一些合成的聲音,
    青菜豆腐各有所愛,
    或許有人喜歡那炫麗的舞台效果,

    嚴格說起來~~"aria"是清唱劇或是歌劇中由樂器伴奏的獨唱歌曲,
    也就是我們慣稱的"詠嘆調".

    那時Yanni還沒出生呵?!
