Undertale is a well-loved indie RPG swimming in critical acclaim and its enormous fan following since its release in 2015. Even today, new players are still diving down into the Underground to see what all the buzz is about. One phrase beginners will need to get familiar with is a "genocide" or a "pacifist" run. These choices can impact what parts of the game players experience.

As you make your way from area to area, whether you're making friends or leaving corpses in your wake, you might take a pounding now and then. It's important to stock up on helpful items so you can make it through to the end, regardless of your play style. Here are all of the vendors in Undertale and where to find them.

9 Spider Bake-Sale

Undertale Spider Bake-Sale

The first vendor in the game is the adorable Spider Bake-Sale in the Ruins immediately to the right of the room where the player meets Napstablook. You can buy a spider donut from the smaller web and a spider cider from the larger one.

The two items may seem paltry, but if you want to be able to immediately spare the mini-boss Muffet later in the game, you'll need to buy something from the bake sale. The prices are pretty low in the Ruins, and it's your first opportunity to buy items in the game, so there's no real reason not to grab a spider-snack. While there is another Spider Bake-Sale in Hotland, the prices at this stand are exorbitant (9999G per item).

8 Nice Cream Guy

The Nice Cream Guy actually pops up in several locations across the Underground. You can find him selling his frozen treats in Snowdin in the same room as the Ball Game, Waterfall in the cavern close to Sans' telescope, and in Hotland on the 3rd floor, before the entrance to the MTT Resort.

But there is one thing that players should be aware of if they want to actually meet this vendor. If you get carried away with killing all the enemies in Snowdin, the Nice Cream Guy won't show up.

7 Snowdin Shopkeeper

Undertale Snowdin Shopkeeper

The Snowdin Shopkeeper operates the first building the player sees in Snowdin Town. The owner, a kindly purple rabbit woman, is a knowledgeable character and a useful source of information about the area and what the player can do.

Like many of the other shopkeepers on this list, the Snowdin Shopkeeper will not appear if you've killed all the enemies in the Snowdin area.

6 Gerson, The Junk Dealer

Gerson is a friendly turtle man and former adventurer who now runs a small shop in Waterfall. You can find him at a crossroads to the north of the River Person's boat service, as well as east of Napstablook and Undyne's houses.

He offers a number of wares and makes reference to his old days as an adventurer. Gerson will still be present and open for business in a Genocide Run, but he won't be particularly chummy with your murderous character.

5 Welcom to da Tem Shop

Undertale Tem Shop

The Tem Shop is a store located in Temmie Village. This vendor is an important place to find because the Tem Shop is the only vendor that will buy back items from the player.

To get the Temmie Village, you'll need to find the room in Waterfall with the luminescent mushrooms and find the path on the bottom right side of the room. The Tem Shopkeeper is an excitable cat who speaks in less-than-correct spelling. She is also accessible in any route of play.

4 The Ever Beloved Sans

Sans is arguably Undertale's official mascot and a pop culture icon who has shown up everywhere from Super Smash Bros. (as a Mii Fighter costume) to AEW Pro Wrestling. In addition to being a recurring character in your journey and the brother to skeletal human hunter Papyrus, Sans also serves a vendor in Hotland next to the elevator on the second floor.

Sans can sell you hot dogs for 30G. If you try to buy one while your inventory is full, you'll be treated to a special secret event: Sans gifts you 30 hotdogs, stacked on your head for free. You can't use them, but it is funny. Sans will only be here if you leave his brother alive though.

3 Bratty and Catty

Undertale Bratty and Catty

In the alley next to the MTT Resort in Hotland, you'll be able to find the shop run by Bratty and Catty.  Bratty (the alligator) and Catty (the cat) are best friends and often speak in unison and fangirl out over Mettaton.

They apparently get all their items from the Garbage Dump, but the stuff will work just fine when you use it. In a genocide route playthrough, they'll also abandon their store, leaving behind a note in gel pen. You'll then be able to take all their stuff and money for free.

2 Burgerpants

You'll find Burgerpants in Hotland inside the MTT resort working at a restaurant called the MTT-Brand Burger Emporium. He's the final vendor character in the game and, as such, his items are both the most expensive and most beneficial healing items in the game.

Burgerpants is one of the few characters who'll stick around and look you in the eye if you're on a kill-em-all Genocide Run. When you talk to him, he'll reflect on how his job requires him to show up even with everyone else in the area is dead. He may not be your favorite vendor in the game, but he's definitely relatable.

1 The Vending Machine

True Lab undertale hallway

The final vendor in Undertale is sadly not as charming or memorable as the other vendor characters. It's also a bit tricky to get to as the vending machine is inside an area called the True Lab. This is only accessible in the True Pacifist run where no enemies are ever killed.

If you can make it to Alphys' lab without taking a monster life, you'll be able to, through some convoluted steps, access this secret area. It features a large number of unique story secrets, and also a vending machine that can dispense "poptato chisps" for 25g.
