  • Most Neuschwanstein Castle tickets include access to the Linderhof Castle, located around 90 kilometers away from Neuschwanstein. The Linderhof Castle, along with Neuschwanstein and the Hohenschwangau Castle, was commissioned by King Ludwig II. Each palace reflects the extravagant and eccentric tastes of the ‘Mad King’ of Bavaria. While Neuschwanstein is known for its fairytale-like ambiance, the Linderhof Castle presents a more intimate and quiet atmosphere.
  • There’s a Neuschwanstein Castle ticket for every budget. At around €68, you can enjoy a tour of the Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castle grounds with an English-speaking guide. This tour offers a unique vantage point, where you can take in the grand architecture of the castles and the surrounding lush forests and Alpsee Lake. You need to splurge slightly more, around €146 to tour the interiors of these castles.
  • If you are traveling from Munich, you can choose tickets, including bus or train transfers from Munich. These transfers are convenient and comfortable, typically in air-conditioned coaches with free Wi-Fi and snacks on board.
  • We recommend choosing train transfers from Munich if you are visiting between January and March. The picturesque Bavarian outdoors are a sight to behold during these months. The weather is also quite unpredictable for bus journeys.
